  1. I watched this last night and it was hilarious! I was really into the old school WWF years and although I don't really follow it now, I pay attention a little on Twitter and places like that and somewhat familiar with who some of the new guys are. But anyway when I saw that Raw was in Buffalo last night I knew that I had to tune in to see some Bills/Josh Allen references and it did not disappoint. When looking into the crowd sometimes it looked like there were more people there for a Bills game than a Wrestling show...so many Bills jerseys/hats/signs...even a decent amount of Sabres stuff too. I legit was cracking up when the Shout chants started up during the wedding segment though lol.
  2. Having a miserable day at work(nothing out of the ordinary) and was thinking about this post and how much I would rather be at Recess out on the playground right now
  3. It wasn't a regular thing, just something they set up for us my last year in Elementary School! From the perspective of a kid it was definitely awesome! We always had a "Field Day" type thing on the last day of school during Elementary years. They would divide all the kids into different teams and have all types of events...I remember tug of war but don't really remember what the rest of them were. I wonder if they still have it nowadays
  4. We didn't have Recess in middle school or high school. Our gym class would occasionally have us outside playing touch football or wiffle ball and stuff like that on good weather days. Now elementary school recess? Man you just unlocked some memories I haven't thought about it in a very long time! Those days were legendary....football games that would break out into full tackle games sometimes, Dodgeball games, Tag, and I'm sure all sorts of games were made up back then too. You know just kids being kids. I remember at the end of the school year they even let us have a Super Soaker war at the end of the day on the playground. Yeah where can I sign up to go back and relive those days?
  5. It's amazing how far the Sabres Defense corps has come from a few years ago
  6. Obviously 99% of us were brought here by the Buffalo Bills and we are all waiting for that one....but I also know we have a lot of different people here with different backgrounds and hometowns and people have other teams they follow. So have you ever seen one of your teams win the hardware? Feel free to share any interesting stories that go along with the experience. As for me I am a pure born and raised WNYer so my true teams are the Bills and Sabres...so I am still waiting for the big ones. I do like Syracuse in the NCAA so technically them winning in 2003 was one of my teams but it didn't bring me to tears or anything, I was just really fired up. I was also really into the Chicago Bulls in the 90s and claim them as a team but they were already great when I got into them so I have a hard time counting their titles as well.
  7. It seems like each passing year the NFL...and life in general...gets a little less fun I love the team the Bills finally have but I wish the presentation of Sports was still how it was 20-25 years ago
  8. This has to be a new rule just put in place then because I used my card to enter into the playoff game last season.
  9. Ok that's fair we can move Josh up to Number 1 after next season
  10. Small programs like that are always just going to be used as a stepping stone for coaches and players to get to that next level. It's sad though if you are a local or fan of that said program but for that reason alone I don't think I could ever get attached to any small time college program. I have never really cared about any of the local college teams in WNY.
  11. Sal Cappaccio just reported on WGR 550 that Diggs was extended 4 years. I can't believe how many people out there actually thought he was going to be traded lol
  12. It's crazy because for awhile it seemed like NYC turned itself around from what it was during the 70s-90s to be much safer. Sounds like it's trending in the opposite direction right now.
  13. One of my favorite RJ calls of all-time and Jim Lorenz with the assist on the greyhound bus comment! I was at the game Friday and during the video presentation when they showed this clip there was a deafening ROAR from the crowd. It was awesome!
  14. Put me down in the I enjoy visiting but wouldn't want to live there category. I've only visited twice in my life but enjoyed both times. The first time I went I was only 18 so having grown up in WNY and not doing much traveling as a kid, getting to go to NYC then was a great introduction to seeing big city life. It had the larger than life feel for sure. I think I always felt a cool mystique about NYC going back to being a little kid and being really into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(the first two movies take place in NYC) and then was a huge Seinfeld fan growing up right through now and the show always made NYC seem fun. I haven't been since 2009(it's funny how that seems so long ago now😥) so I guess that's enough time where things could look and feel completely different than it was then. That time I went I was with my Dad and Brother and will be a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life.
  15. The Sabres haven't been winning by dumb luck it's because they have so many talented young players that are clearly developing and getting better and better. Gotta give credit to Donny Meatballs. I think he has done a hell of a job with this group. Don't get me wrong there is still a lot of work left to do but they are trending in the right direction.
  16. I have always found that interesting myself. While it's hard for me to say since I'm still in WNY, I have a hard time believing I would just give up the Sabres if I ever moved out of the area. They were such a huge part of my childhood growing up.
  17. I was at the game. Incredible atmosphere and the Sabres really knocked the entire ceremony and gamenight presentation out of the park. The team showed up and played hard. There was no way we were going to lose that game. An all around win for the team, the fans, the organization and of course the man of the night RJ himself!
  18. From things I have now seen it looks like it's officially a sellout. I haven't been this excited for a Sabres game since the playoff years. Will be the first time for many of the youngsters on the team to play in front of a juiced up home crowd. Donny Meatballs should have the boys fired up. This is a game they NEED to show up for.
  19. Oh there's not a minute of the day that goes by that I'm taking any of this for granted! Go Bills!🍻
