  1. While I don't draw any parallels to teams from 30 years ago, if you are just comparing those teams straight up the biggest difference is how much better the Offensive Line was in the 90s era. Right now we are not even close to being good enough in the trenches to get to or win a Super Bowl.
  2. I scored tickets to the game tonight. I really hope they pull it off. Should be an electric atmosphere if they slide into that last playoff spot before the All-Star break. Let's Go Buffalo!
  3. Kindergarten through 3rd grade for me....so having no life experience whatsoever those Super Losses felt like the absolute worst thing that could ever possibly happen in life for me😂
  4. Yup! It was definitely crazy. I remembered when that interview of him went Viral but I had no idea about any of the stuff that followed and that he was being poached to be a Reality TV star. I've been enjoying all of these random Documentaries that have been coming out on Netflix lately.
  5. This would have been a much easier conversation to have if Beane drafted Creed Humphrey when he had the chance
  6. I think they are legit but I also think San Francisco is a damn good team too. I have SF winning but could see it going either way. I think it's going to be a really good game and I'm looking forward to watching that one.
  7. I don't even think Bills fans are going to be touting them as Super Bowl favorites next season, that is done for now.
  8. I'm sure McDermott has input but I imagine Beane has final say when we make a draft pick.
  9. I like Beane but poor drafting has caught up to us. Not only lack of weapons on offense but ignoring the Offensive Line as well.
  10. To me this feels like the "Comedown Game" For the last four years the Bills had been on an upward trajectory bringing hope and optimism that we were on the cusp of a Super Bowl team. That feeling hit it's peak as we went into the Offseason as the perennial favorite to win the whole thing and the way we beat down the defending champs on opening night just added fuel to the frenzy....But we know all know what happened as the season went on culminating in that finale against Cincinnati where that High came crashing down hard. I think we will be looking at the Bills much differently going into this offseason than we have in the past 4 years. Does this go down in history as the "Greatest Comedown Game" of all-time?
  11. It's not so much about putting the Bengals on a pedestal as much as realizing the Bills are not up on the pedestal like everybody had them going into this season IMO
  12. I have a lot of respect for the way the Bills battled through the insane amount of adversity that they faced this season. In all honesty I've never seen a team go through as much as the Bills had to. It was a DRAINING season as a fan, I can't imagine how the players must feel. They pulled out some wins in some games they probably had no business winning. So props and respect to those guys for the way they battled this season. But I think if we are being honest with ourselves that Bengals game did expose this Bills team as still being a bit off from being a true Super Bowl team. We really have some weaknesses on both lines and probably still missing a couple of legit playmakers in general. Playcalling is a bit suspect. These things don't have anything to do with the adversity. They do not have to be mutually exclusive thoughts.
  13. Go Sabres! Need the 2 pts tonight
  14. Oh the 90s what a time it was! An amazing time period for music that's for sure. There's a lot of different ways you can go with this but for you personally what were your quintessential bands that defined the 90s music scene? I'll start it off Stone Temple Pilots Soundgarden Smashing Pumpkins Sublime *Total coincidence that all of my favorite bands from back then start with the letter S; that does not have to be part of the criteria 😄
  15. Does anybody remember or know what happened to Heiny from the old BBMB days? Or Nate Dogg? Those were two posters from those days I liked interacting with
  16. The injuries sucked but we still had Rousseau, Ed, Epenesa, Boogie Basham. These are all guys Beane drafted in the first two rounds in recent years and they still can't get any pressure going. These are huge misses. I like Edmunds and Milano and I recognize the secondary was banged up but my biggest gripe with the Bills for years is not being able to build a dominant Defensive Line which is a necessity if you want to build a championship team.
  17. Even with Von out, the Defensive line should have had better production. That line is filled with higher end draft picks. I have been giving them some time and benefit of the doubt but I have to admit at this point Beane has whiffed on a lot of draft picks. It's a double whammy when you spend so many draft picks on one area and it doesn't pan out because not only has the DL been bad but then we have wasted resources on other areas we could have been drafting for.
  18. QB isn't our issue....it's everything else surrounding the QB
  19. I voted No across the board. This is not a Super Bowl caliber Defense. Go and watch San Francisco's Defense. That's a championship Defense. With that said the Bills bread and butter was supposed to be an Offensive juggernaut and if that materializes you can still go far with an alright Defense but we got exposed on both sides last weekend.
  20. I was actually expecting the coordinators to change but after Beane's presser yesterday now I'm not so sure of that. It sucks I just feel like we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. This team is good so your not going to completely blow it up but they aren't in a place with the salary cap and their draft status to add the big pieces this offseason to take this team up a level. It's tough because some of Beane's draft whiffs have caught up to us now.
  21. Yep. I felt the same way during that press conference. This is the lowest and least optimistic I have felt during the Beane regime. It feels like we are in a situation where we are kind of stuck right now. We won't totally suck but I don't think we are in a position to properly re-tool this thing to a true contender. Very depressing and deflating.
  22. I think it's partially on McDermott...I think the personnel shortcomings is more on Beane than McDermott though. I am frustrated with both of them right now but I also know how much worse it could be at the same time. I'm feeling very torn/nervous about whether we should blow this thing up and bring in another regime. Realistically though I highly doubt the Pegulas are pulling the trigger on that anyways.
  23. I love it! I don't mind 2-3 a year tops but it was getting excessive how many prime time games we were on this year. Also will be nice to not be going into the offseason/start of next regular season as the favorite.
