If we did a list of Mt. Rushmore Family Sitcoms that's one of the first choices I'm picking -

It feels amazing that knowing no matter what moves the Patriots make I am not going to be worried about them in the slightest bit

I stand by my original list but taking into account the classic era of Sitcoms Taxi, I love Lucy, and Mary Tyler Moore definitely deserve some honorable mentions -
Fun topic Friday. Let's Go! Seinfeld Frasier Cheers Married With Children(although I can't count the last couple seasons where the show become too over the top and a caricature of what it was)

Anyone just sit back and appreciate it?

That's fair, I'm sure there would be posts like that on the message board but the locals would definitely be celebrating and soaking it all in. -

Probably because both the Broncos and Avs have already won Championships before but if the Bills or Sabres ever went all the way I can't imagine the celebration feeling anti-climatic. Heck if the Bills had won the Super Bowl this year I think WNY would still be partying -
I grew up in the same generation and like most of us from that time I was really into the Nintendo's and Sega's etc...would consider myself a pretty big video gamer as a kid but by high school I had completely lost interest in video games for the most part. I see a lot of 90s Nostalgia pages on social media etc. and I enjoy seeing the stuff and reading about the old games I enjoyed playing as a kid but I have no desire to go back and play any of the games now as an adult. Not saying there is anything wrong with that either, I know a lot of people still like playing the old games and even play the newer ones. I actually think it's cool as I'm all for staying young at heart but the video games just don't keep my attention long enough nowadays. Sometimes I actually wish I still had an interest in gaming as a hobby.

For the first few years during the McBeane era that's absolutely how I felt as we were witnessing the Bills finally climbing out of the cellar and on the rise. I was all on board for a slow rebuild and trusting the process. I felt like we were playing with house money for the first few years and just being a playoff team was pretty awesome coming off the drought. I'd say going into this season the real Championship window was supposed to be open and with all of the expectations and now years of Beane and McDermott building their program it definitely felt like the stakes were higher and there was more frustration of falling short of the big goal. Also feels like we took a step backwards from where we had been in previous years so I can't say at this stage it's a matter of just sitting back and enjoying being a competent team again. There should be Super Bowl expectations for this group and if they can't right the ship it may be team to move on at some point(definitely not saying it's time yet). When you get a chess piece like Josh Allen a Championship absolutely has to be the expectation now. -
To be fair his own wife was acting the same way 😄

Let me clarify...I am not knocking Jordan and he deserved to get the biggest payday he could because this is going to be his last chance at this stage in his career, I just think a lot of people aren't realizing it just came down to there not being a market out there for him. This is a completely different situation than when Milano took the home town discount instead of going to free agency when his contract was up.

I'm guessing he didn't see any numbers higher than what the Bills were willing to give...hence why he is still here. I love Poyer and glad it worked out that he will still be here for a couple years but let's not pretend he had some last minute change of heart, this strictly came down to a business decision.

Good but not good enough. This era Bills team will always be looked at fondly for breaking the drought and then bringing the Bills back to respectability across the Nation. This also brought along heightened expectations of being perennial favorites to win a Super Bowl by now, which they have fallen short of so far. It won't be a bad legacy but we won't look back on these years like we do with the Kelly/Marv/Bruce Super Bowl years. But there's still more chapters to be written with this current regime so we will see how it ends up.

That's fine with me. You see where all the offseason hype got us this past season.

JoPo's message to Bills Mafia
BillsPride12 replied to Toomstone.Part.Duex's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know that and I knew somebody was going to bring that up but even before that gig I felt like he just completely distanced himself from that Sabres era, and Briere is currently doing GM work for Philly but he also records video snippets when there are the big events like RJ night or Ryan Miller night. It's just weird to me you never hear anything from Drury as he was such a big part of those teams. -
It's crazy what an A**H*** he ended up being after everything Green Bay fans had to go through with Favre(and I myself was a HUGE Farve fan back in the day)at the end....it's gotta sting having Won two Championships with these guys but having the memories tainted by the way they went out and learning how Narcissistic they were both were. Just a weird dynamic and absolutely insane how similar this Rodgers situation is to the way Favre left.

Thanks, that's more along the story I remember. You guys ever notice Drury never comes back and does any alumni events or speaks in any of the Sabres documentaries or anything like that. I wonder if he stills holds a grudge against the organization(see Matthew Barnaby) or if he just feels like he is above being associated with those teams(as he won a Cup in Colorado and had a lot of success in his career). Either way it's a shame he has really distanced himself from the organization as he was really beloved by the fans back then. -

We are really going back some years with this one, but I honestly don't remember that being a thing? Do you have any articles or anything to back that claim up? I thought Drury wanted to go play for the Rangers because that was his lifelong dream since he was a kid and the Sabres wasted their time trying to get him to sign meanwhile it was Briere who wanted to stay here but they neglected him and he ultimately signed with Philly. I really don't remember Drury's wife being involved in any of the drama? -

It sounded like Miami had legit interest but I wonder if the trade they swung for Ramsey is going to change their interest level in Poyer now. Don't think I have seen him linked to any other teams through the Rumor Mill. -
This is the most rational Tremaine Edmunds post I've ever seen, by far.
