  1. That's been around since the Michael Jordan days and probably even before that
  2. It always blew my mind how many people harped on his stats or even worse what his college stats were....it was like what games are you guys watching and how are you not seeing this off the chart potential he displays!?
  3. I'm cracking up at some of these replies. I knew I would catch some flak for this post and I was still ok with it because I wasn't trying to claim I discovered Josh Allen or anything like that but it's just cool looking back to that first game and seeing a little gleam of hope after all of the suffering we had been through up to that point. You have to keep in mind that this fanbase was entirely split down the middle if not more people not being happy with the Allen pick at the time(I was at the field house the night he was drafted and people were booing the pick and chanting for Rosen). If you guys really wanna criticize someone's opinion, we should dig up all the posters who were claiming Josh Allen was going to be trash
  4. Fair which is why I specifically said nothing earth shattering X's and O's wise but this was the first time I truly felt like we drafted the guy that could be THE guy if that makes any sense. Even to this day it still feels kinda surreal to me that this is where we are. I also remember at least 50% of the fanbase were not sold on him until his breakout year in 2020 but I always saw the flashes of greatness being there from his rookie season.
  5. I just received a thumbs up alert from a post I made after Josh's first preseason game back in 2018 so I was able to go and revisit it, nothing earth shattering as far as X's and O's but I'd say I nailed it! And here we are with one of the most explosive offenses in the entire league ☺️ "The kid is Raw(as was advertised) but my god the potential is there...give him some time to learn the NFL game and improve his fundamentals and bring in some legit Receiver's and we could have a very explosive offense in a couple years" Source: Bills' Preseason Week 1 Game Day vs. Carolina - 7 PM ET at New Era Field - Page 46 - The Stadium Wall Archives - Two Bills Drive
  6. A bit before my time but I always heard about how special those teams were. I would watch that one too!
  7. I haven't paid much attention to Philly at all over the past couple years...is their roster outside of QB really that talented!? This is news to me lol
  8. He sure as s*** wasn't the most overrated guy on the team last year either
  9. I'm not suggesting he's on Aaron Donald's level(nobody else in the entire league is) but you are going to eat those words this season my friend!
  10. I'm much more concerned about the play of the Offensive line. That's the wild card that will dictate the play of the Offense this year in my opinion
  11. "Where else would you rather be, than right here right now!?" Cheers on 97 Marv!
  12. Ed Oliver got that dog in him. This Defense will be on another level from last year
  13. Agreed! Was thinking about that back when RJ retired earlier this year and hearing the news about Vin Scully brought those thoughts right back.
  14. For anybody who has seen her Twitter posts before this is nothing unusual. She is BRUTALLY honest about all sorts of stuff on there. A bit weird to be that candid about something like that but not shocking in the least bit and anybody who thinks otherwise is Naive.
  15. Yes Thurman did make that quote...and ironically enough I just referenced that Thurman quote with a Co-worker of mine who grew up in the Bronx a few days ago I think I'm just a junkie for those Sports docs in general, especially the ones they are starting to make into a series now. I have been saying they needed to make one about the 90s Knicks in a similar fashion to the Four Falls of Buffalo for awhile now. As I've already mentioned sometimes I think the story is a little more interesting from the perspective of the team that just couldn't get over the hump.
  16. Guess there wasn't as many Knicks fans on the board as I thought
  17. Agree that the play of the offensive line is going to be key. The line struggles were the reason behind the Bills rough start to the season last year in my opinion not because they were getting too full of themselves and not taking things seriously like so many posters were suggesting last year.
  18. https://www.amny.com/sports/spike-lee-documentary-series-1990s-knicks/#.Yuemw9m67GM.link I loved the NBA in the 90s...granted I was a huge Bulls fan growing up but I always liked those Knicks team and Patrick Ewing. In hindsight that's a Sports team I wish would've gotten at least one ring back then. I think this should be pretty good, sometimes the stories about the teams that didn't go all the way but were right there on the cusp(see Four Falls of Buffalo) are more interesting than the champions stories. I know there are some Knicks fans on the board so wanted to share.
  19. He can show dramatic improvement and yet still suck in the big picture. They don't have to be mutually exclusive thoughts
  20. Probably not the poster child for Humanitarian of the year but this guy built an EMPIRE. I watched WWF religiously growing up. Product has definitely fallen off over the years but it's super hard to sustain anything for that long. Hell of a run for Mr. McMahon
  21. The 02-04 era Bills teams. This is the team I thought/was hoping we were getting back then. I thought it was going to be the reincarnation of the 90s Super Bowl teams. I mean we had Drew, Moulds, Price, Travis Henry, Takeo Spikes, Pat Williams, London Fletcher, Sam Adams, Winfield and Clements. It sounded so good on paper....sooooo good! I was wrong, boy was I wrong. After that I never really allowed myself to feel that way again with any of the following regimes/era's until McDermott, Beane, and Allen came along and here we are!
  22. Would love to see a 90s quality version of this for last season....these things were made so much better back then
