  1. Clearly you've never had the Ribs at Alex's Place
  2. This is the first time in over a decade I am disappointed to see the season come to and end. I had so much fun watching this team through it's ups and downs starting to come together. Already can't wait for next season and to see the next jump we take. I have no doubt in my mind that these young kids will work their ass off in the offseason.
  3. I've always hated this argument. If the guys from back then played today they would have trained and used the modern nutrition programs of today and would be just fine. If anything I've always been amazed at how the athletes back then performed knowing how hard most of them lived off the field, court in those days.
  4. I haven't had this much fun as a Sabres fan since 2007
  5. I was at the game, was close to being sold out and the arena was electric. You can tell the Sabres brought their A game in effort today. Lots of big hits, blocked shots, and an overall sense of urgency played with. Nice to see them get rewarded with a W against a great team and get to receive some standing ovations from the fans. They might not make the playoffs but this is the strong finish to the season the fans have been asking for.
  6. That was a good, hard fought win against a team that is in a pretty similar point in their rebuild to the Sabres so I felt like that was a good test. It's hard to get too mad when they don't look great against teams that are just better than them at this point like Boston and Toronto etc. but it was great to see them fight toe to toe with a pretty even contemporary and get the W.
  7. A huge part of the dropoff in play has been Dahlin and Tage not being at 100% for awhile. But it makes me feel even more optimistic for the future because we know what they look like when completely healthy. Plus you can still expect to see significant jumps in play from Cozens, Quinn, Peterka, Power and then add in the young kids like Savoie and Kulich. Don't even get me started on Devon Levi. I just don't understand how any Sabres fan can't be anything but super excited for the future
  8. Yeah that's fair, I didn't get to live through that era but I've always said I would have loved to experience the 60s and 70s too
  9. It feels great having a meaningful hockey game in April, it's been way too long!
  10. Biggest game in the last decade tonight?
  11. Good memories watching his fights in the PPV days
  12. The kid looks the part....super smooth and quick, confident with some swagger to him. I think we've finally got ourselves a good one in Net.
  13. I mean I definitely want more but as a Bills fan if this is what this era ends up being I'll take the damn SB Win all day!
  14. I remember the Carolina Defense that made it to the Super Bowl was a very physical, aggressive Defense. But I think that might be more of a personnel difference than schemes and systems. I don't know why but it feels like Beane and McDermott have built more of a finesse Defense at this point in Buffalo. When we hired McDermott I was excited we were going to see a mean and nasty Defense like the Panthers had.
  15. Happy Devon Levi Day Sabres Fans!
  16. It just feels good to not see the Bills at the top anymore. Still have some lingering PTSD
  17. That would be scary and a wasted pick. Not a big college fan, does anybody that follows college ball more closely think he has a ceiling closer to a Kuechly than a guy like Pos?
  18. Another gem from Pulp Fiction...almost went with this one myself And you can tell Rolling Stone magazine that my last words were... I'm on drugs!
  19. Sometimes I guess there's just not enough rocks
  20. So far the 80s is running away with this...I still think I could go either way. The 80s and 90s were the bread and butter of American Pop Culture in my opinion. Modern times couldn't hold a candle to those days.
  21. There really is no right or wrong answer, but I think it makes a good discussion
  22. I've had similar thoughts and have also thought this might be a bigger reason why they were willing to move on from Tremaine Edmunds
  23. Generally agree with that sentiment but in his case he already won a Super Bowl and has history in Seattle. I respect it
