  1. He showed some flashes but it was frustrating watching him fall over all night long including that one really bad give away when we were on the Power Play that almost resulted in a short handed goal for Ottawa. I like Casey and I've been rooting for him since he got here but sometimes I wonder/worry if the game at the NHL is too big for him to really break out.
  2. I like this. It's Sports, the away teams shouldn't expect Country Club conditions. I know that isn't commonplace now but I think once upon a time it was. I remember hearing stories about the Lakers having to deal with horrible conditions when they would play the Celtics in the old Boston Garden.
  3. We do a yearly road trip game for the Bills and Washington is on the schedule next year and my buddy keeps mentioning that one as the possible destination and I keep trying to tell him going there isn't even going to be worth it. Sounds like a miserable experience.
  4. Ralph is cheap I remember when Dick Jauron said it's Hard to win in the NFL...I know Sean McDermott just recently said the same thing but it was just different when Jauron said it
  5. What is the best record in the main Pick Em League? I am currently holding down first place in the backup Pick Em league at 49-29
  6. On the flipside of this what is the best platform to put tickets up for sale? Not sure if I'm going to be able to make it to the Green Bay game and I usually just sell games that I can't make to friends but the resale value of these tickets is through the roof right now so I might try to put them up and see what I can get.
  7. Before my time but I remember going to games in the 90s and the things that stick out were people bringing huge Binoculars and AM/FM radios and headsets to listen to Van Miller calling the game
  8. It's getting absurd at this point. Brandon Beane and company have built a MACHINE in Buffalo. Our depth is fantastic
  9. Just edited my original post, not sure why I added the word "place" in there
  10. I'm good with this but would have liked to seen an additional A go to Alex Tuch
  11. Van Miller had so many great ones! Nothing else comes close in my book
  12. I absolutely agree...The exciting part for this year I think they are going to take a significant leap from what they built up on the back half of last season. Gonna be so weird for the Bills and Sabres to be good at the same time...but I am so here for it!
  13. The Sabres are going to be a real treat to watch this season. Can't wait for next week to get here
  14. It's funny because when he made that throw I remember thinking the only other guy in the league who could make that throw so effortlessly is Rodgers. Feels surreal to have a Bills QB possess such elite traits Look at Shaw's post below yours to understand why that throw was so incredible
  15. He always looks like a Mad Man out there.....Matt "Mad Man" Milano....I like it
  16. Once again I'm not saying this team is on that level of the Super Bowl teams. Those are still my all-time favorite years in Bills history by far. My point is after that era being a Bills fan we were pretty much just stuck living in that era and celebrating those teams for the next two decades because we had nothing else. I feel like now that we have turned the corner and become a perennial playoff team who has made an AFC championship game, has a franchise QB, favorites to win the SB that we will no longer have to resort to 90s Nostalgia to feel good about being a Bills fan. I just think a new era is underway and we no longer have to live in the past. Even if this current group doesn't win a Super Bowl either I'm not sure if fans will return to that state of "living in the past" with the 90s team again. Part of it is just time moves on and it's hard to keep celebrating the same thing over and over 30 years straight.
  17. Oh I agree, as of now the 1990 Bills team is still the best Bills team I've seen in my lifetime....the AFL Championship teams were way before my time. I wasn't trying to say I think this current Bills team is better than the Super Bowl teams yet.
  18. Interesting take, I feel like that could be true from a Bills fan perspective but will that still be true from an overall football fan perspective? The 90s Bills will still be the only team to go to 4 consecutive Super Bowls. I guess that's one point I didn't make in my original post. I think until it happens again..and it probably won't for a long time if ever...then the 90s Bills will always have their place in NFL history. I actually am a huge 90s Nostalgia fanatic in general. I'm just talking about how Bills fans were kinda stuck in the early 90s for 25 years because of how bad the organization became after those years. I think now that we have finally become a relevant franchise again we won't ever have to go back to those days.
  19. This is the correct take. I'm not big on making excuses but I don't think anybody saw these type of injuries occurring this early into the season. I think we can win tomorrow but I won't go in full panic mode if we don't because we haven't been playing at full strength. Still a long season to go and outside of Hyde we should be able to get everybody back for down the stretch when it really matters.
  20. Just a question for fun but I'd def be curious to hear how others feel about this. As Bills fans we spent many, many years re-living and celebrating the Super Bowl era Bills teams and I know it was an incredible era and what those years meant for WNY. But now that we finally have ushered in a new era of exciting Bills football (I still think the best is yet to come and we will make it back to the Super Bowl whether it's this year or another) will the 90s Nostalgia finally die out? It definitely seems like it has already lost a lot of steam as people are more focused on the current team as they should be. The second part of the question is Are YOU ok with it? I was a huge fan of those teams and would not be the diehard Bills fan I am today without them but I'm at a point where I'm ok to let go of some of that Nostalgia. I think because of how bad we were for about two decades following the Super Bowl runs we really beat it to death re-living and reminiscing about the old glory years. Obviously the memories will always be there...but maybe we will no longer have to rely on them as Bills fans like we had to prior to Josh Allen and the Process coming along. The only thing about it that makes me sad is the younger generation coming up today won't truly know the history and understand what those Bills teams meant to the Buffalo/WNY area but at least they will have an amazing team of their own to claim.
