Sammy Watkins says Buffalo Bills are still his team
BillsPride12 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember how many fans were butt hurt when Beane and Mcdermott came in here and shipped him out.......We ended up with the better 14 by far! -
Just caught a couple of the classic Simpsons treehouse of horror episodes last night as I was falling asleep. I forgot how good those were! Gonna have to watch a few more of those before Halloween is over.

I'm not disputing that but I'm just saying it would still be a MAJOR deal around here if Buffalo won the Super Bowl. A good analogy would be in my opinion the Bills winning the Super Bowl would be a much bigger deal in Buffalo than say Pittsburgh winning a Super Bowl in 2022 v.s. the 70s or even early 2000s.

This might be true from a societal perspective overall(I think many would agree the NFL was in it's prime during the 70s-90s)but I don't think that's true from the perspective of Western New York. I'm a local and it's Bills all the time, everyday, everywhere you go. Drive through any neighborhood in WNY right now and you will see Bills flags, yard signs etc...driving on the thruway you see Bills decals on every other car, go to the local grocery store and everybody is decked out in Bills gear. It's all people are talking about. Winning the Super Bowl would absolutely carry it's weight in Western New York.

Are there food trucks in the bills lots or food vendors??
BillsPride12 replied to Adamb412's topic in The Stadium Wall
You would be doing yourself a huge disservice going to a Bills home game(primetime at that) and grabbing food from a food truck instead of wandering the lots and meeting Bills fans and getting treated to authentic tailgates. -

Aaron Rodgers … Leadership for Dummies
BillsPride12 replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Favre started off as an amazing leader in his early playing days but as his career took off it seemed like he developed a big ego and his personality completely changed and he wasn't the same person during his later years. It's funny speaking of Favre though I remember watching an electric tough as nails Favre in his prime years and wishing so bad the Bills had a QB like that...25 years later here we are! -
RIP Coach...the memories from that era will live on forever

How much does that cost to subscribe to?

Wait..your last name is Dingus? Seriously?

Halloween week is upon us....anybody have any Halloween specials they were really into as a kid or ones that still try to watch today? I grew up in the 90s so the Roseanne and Home Improvement Halloween episodes were always pretty solid. Simpsons Treehouse of Horror were fantastic in the heyday of the show. I'm gonna try to watch some Halloween shows this week to get into the spirit so just curious what everybody else was into.

Do you talk or argue to co workers about sports?
BillsPride12 replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Yes. I live in WNY so it's pretty common. I've had some jobs that were way more fun as far as the common sports fan aspect than others. I started a new job over the Summer and it's not my favorite place as far as the Sports fans but I also keep in touch with some of my old co-workers I used to talk sports with. At the end of the day we always have these boards to fall back on if we can't get any good Sports discussions going at the office -
Are the Sabres getting to be just as good as the Bills?
BillsPride12 replied to Draconator's topic in Off the Wall
They are trending in that direction for sure. Probably still 2-3 years away from being the 2022 Buffalo Bills. But as it's been said before who is going to be their version of Josh Allen? As of now this Sabres team is actually starting to remind me more of the 05-07 Sabres but would love to see them take it even father than those teams did. -
My name is pretty self-explanatory but I'd like to add the Caveat I came onto the boards in the early-ish stages of the Drought. The morale was very low at that time being a Bills fan but I still had so much pride from the glory years and always was plugged into that feeling I guess. I chose the number 12 because at the time I thought it was the most synonymous number associated with the Bills but I've been very tempted to change my name to BillsPride17. Ultimately decided to just keep it the same because it represents where my mind was at during the Drought years and at this point those are like proud battle scars.

Bills fans help old man in Steelers jersey during game
BillsPride12 replied to BoccesOnTransit's topic in The Stadium Wall
Must've been an Erie, PA guy -
Plus you get all of the 30 for 30s and can watch Primetime during the football season. It really is great

Sabres!!! That was by far their best game of the short season. Miss RJ but great call by Dunleavy tonight "they're playing like the Harlem Globetrotters out there"

So much Passion from this team!! I love it!!!

I went to this game and although the game sucked the weekend and atmosphere were a blast. One of my favorite Bills road trips I've ever done. I would say catching a game in Green Bay should be on the bucket list of any diehard NFL fan. So much history there and the fans are fantastic. I vividly remember hanging out and shooting the s*** with a Packers fan at the Bills Backers Bar the night before the game and he was talking about how bad the Packers were for almost two decades before Brett Favre came along and completely changed the course for that franchise, he thought Josh Allen could be that guy for the Bills. Looking back at it now that guy must have been a Prophet sent from the football Gods.

Philly only unbeaten after Thursday. 17-0?
BillsPride12 replied to 1onemangang7's topic in The Stadium Wall
No -
Something random I was just thinking about recently. I remember going to my first game as a kid in the 90s and we did the NFL experience at the Field House and it was great. You got to kick extra points, catch passes from the Juggs machines and a bunch of other cool activities. It's obviously more geared towards kids but I never hear anything about it anymore and for all I know this is something that they might have ended years ago. But just curious if anybody knows if they still do this or if anybody else has any memories from getting to do this when they were a kid?
