  1. I'm a local but did the same thing and it really was a blast. Lot of Cheeseheads around but they weren't so bad
  2. I've never seen it. Is it based on any actual events or places in Buffalo? Doesn't it have a nod to Wide Right in the movie as well?
  3. Sad news! Why does it seem like every offseason we hear about some sort of Tragedy like this? Wasn't the Dwayne Haskins incident just last Summer around this time? RIP Ryan Mallett
  4. For a second there I thought YOU were going to be the first person to ever publicly admit to leaving the game early
  5. Thank you! That's definitely a major misconception nowadays with people calling it Bar-Bills and thinking it has some direct connection to the Bills. It's a WNY staple but doesn't have anything to do with the Bills directly!
  6. Congrats! Two Bills Drive housewarming party at your place this Summer??
  7. This shouldn't be a shock to anybody and there is a reason we are getting a new stadium....I love our gameday atmosphere and tailgating etc. but that stadium is OUTDATED. I have been to about 10 other NFL stadiums and it really shows when you actually experience other ones. I could care less about the new state of the art stadiums that have built in shopping malls but it was time for a fresh stadium here.
  8. During the Drought years I relied so heavily on rewatching all the classic games from the Glory Years I don't have it in me to rewatch those games anymore. Thankful we currently have a relevant team again! The comeback game will always be legendary though
  9. I remember hearing rumors about that. Kelly wouldn't throw to him for like 3 straight games because of what was going on? 😄
  10. Some places are starting to charge a small fee for their weekly concert series but there's still a lot of them going on and most of them are free. The weekly outdoor concert series is definitely a staple of a WNY Summer
  11. I think this move shows Pegula didn't want them to feel like they were on the hot seat and wanted to take some pressure off of them. That doesn't mean there won't be expectations to bring this team to a Super Bowl and I think Beane and McDermott have proven they are both self-motivated but Pegula just wants them to feel comfortable. In that sense I like this move, and it's not like they can't get fired down the road if this thing does go off the rails completely.
  12. Went to the end of school/ beginning of Summer party in my parents neighborhood yesterday and it was a great time. The kids had a blast with the bounce houses, dunk tank and slip n slides and it was cool meeting some of the new neighbors and seeing alot of the OG's I hadn't seen in forever that I knew growing up. Tons of food and booze, half the people there wearing a Bills hat or shirt lol. Prime Summertime in Western New York!
  13. Neither really does anything for me To me Thrilling would be seeing the Bills win a Super Bowl or the Sabres winning a Cup
  14. 24 hours later and I am disappointed in the lack of responses...C'mon TBD you can do better than this....not even one old-timer chiming in yet about family trips to Crystal Beach!
  15. Those were some very nice uniforms! Those and the old Kelly Green Eagles uniforms are some of the all-time best in the NFL
  16. I'm not familiar with this one at all Muppy but glad you brought it up because that emphasizes another point....there are so many hidden gems in WNY! This area gets a bad rap for being a small town with not a lot to do but I feel like it's impossible to do everything you want to do in one Summer.
  17. In my parents neighborhood a neighbor is having an end of the school year party tomorrow for the kids and we are taking my nephews. Growing up over there we always had some awesome block parties in the Summer. I know a lot of other neighborhoods around here do the same thing, not sure how common that is in other parts of the Country.
  18. In honor of the first official day of Summer I wanted to start a thread to pay tribute to how awesome WNY Summers really are! I know most people posting over here no longer live in the area but the majority at least have roots in WNY. What are some of your favorite Summertime memories growing up in the Buffalo area? Favorite traditions and activities? We might only get 3 true months of Summer but from June to August those 3 months are usually nothing short of amazing....Backyard BBQ's and Bonfires, Outdoor concert series, Patio bars, Neighborhood parties, golfing, hiking, boating, grilling...Nobody does Summertime like the 716! Use this thread to post all things Buffalo Summers CHEERS! 🍻
  19. I wonder if that Chiefs fan would post Good Luck messages on the Chiefs board right before his big heists?
  20. That's fair, I guess if there just isn't room for him it makes sense. Still sad to lose him from our program though.
  21. Disappointing for sure. I don't understand why the Sabres couldn't have made him an offer to come up to their staff
  22. I'm not gonna lie I had some fun with it going into the season last year because it was unchartered territory for me as a Bills fan as I was still pretty young during the Super Bowl years so it was kinda cool to pump your chest out a little bit as the Super Bowl favorite...but deep down inside I was terrified of the Bills flopping and that coming back to bite us so now I'm entering this season much more grounded and back to the we'll see what happens on the field state of mind. The energy level surrounding WNY during this time last year was incredible and just kept ramping up as the season got closer. It was fun to soak it in a bit.
