What Bills road trips are you doing this year?
BillsPride12 replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
I expect a big Bills fan turnout for that game. Sounds like the marquee destination trip this year -
Was the NBA considered bigger than the NFL in the 90s?

There's no doubt Jordan was the biggest athlete in any sport in the 90s -
Sounds like some of that stuff could have some actual value. I would get the stuff appraised.

That's a Thank You gift for all the revenue she brought in last season -
Half the excitement of schedule release day is planning out what Bills trips you are going to make. My group is planning on doing Seattle

They have been right on their other leaks so far, otherwise I would not have posted. Obviously this could be wrong but I feel relatively confident -

Who will be this year's Terrell Bernard??
BillsPride12 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm hopeful it can be Dewayne Carter. It seems like a lot of people on here have low expectations for him and some even writing him off as a bust. But I'm hopeful he can be an impactful player and get a lot of playing time as part of the DL rotation. He seems to have the drive to want to succeed. I'm rooting for him -
Yeah it's a super cheap and easy hobby. I have a display case for them hanging in my basement. It's fun to look at them every once in awhile because each one brings back all the memories from the Vacation.

I collect shot glasses anytime I visit a significant city Not exactly collecting but I keep track of every golf course I play and what city it was in on a spreadsheet. I wish I would have collected a logo ball or logo ballmark from all of these courses but I'm not about to start now I do have a bunch of Bills and Sabres memorabilia as well

No schedule leaks thread? (This can be it…)

They absolutely will. Sunday night football is the premium time slot in the NFL. Josh Allen automatically punches our ticket to having one of those games -

Would you consider yourself a nostalgic person?
BillsPride12 replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
I am. It comes kind of naturally because I really enjoyed the time period I grew up in, I have so many great memories from those days so it's pretty easy to look back on. I am also a bit of an old soul so I think I just identify more with the simpler times. In my opinion movies, pop culture, Sports, music were much better in the 80s and 90s. For the OP it sounds like your parents are not very Nostalgic but one thing I am pretty appreciative of my parents are fun to talk about old times and memories with whether it is old family memories, local WNY history, old neighborhood stories. Those are some of my favorite conversations I have with my parents. One thing I have noticed in life there are really two types of people when it comes to this subject. People that are not Nostalgic at all and the past is the past and they could care less about reminiscing and then people who are very Nostalgic and can get caught up in taking a lap down memory lane. I have learned which people in my life I can have good conversations about the past and other people to not even bother having those conversations with. -
I'm not even sure how much coaching changes mean right now. Watching these playoff games I can't help but think the Sabres are still so far away from being a legit NHL contender. It's so disappointing

Bills Rookie Media Day Mic'd Up DeWayne Carter

I'm hoping he turns out to be more like that other defensive tackle we took in that draft -

Exactly. Having the spotlight on Thursday, Sunday, and Monday Nights on top of all day Sunday is more than enough. I don't have it in me to to add in Wednesdays and Fridays now. I love football but I have other interests in life too, and I enjoy a traditional Christmas with Family. Obviously people will watch but I hope the ratings don't hit their targeted goals. They will continue to push for more until people show they won't tune in. -

Yeah it's ridiculous. Unless it's a Bills game I am not going to watch football on Christmas Day, I probably won't watch the Friday night game in Brazil between the Packers and Eagles either. I hope this plan to have NFL on every night and every holiday backfires on them and they don't get the ratings they are hoping for. I have always been an "NFL Degenerate" that will give up my Sundays and Monday Nights during the season, my family and friends all know this. But I will not give up every night of the week and holidays such as Christmas Day to watch the NFL. -
Was the NBA considered bigger than the NFL in the 90s?
BillsPride12 replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
Great point For instance, I'm sure nothing was bigger than the NBA in Chicago in those days -
I was checking out some old NBA on NBC videos online that I came across and was reading through comments where people were declaring back when the NBA was bigger than the NFL. Sounds crazy but made me stop and think for a minute about that. The NBA was huge back then during the MJ heyday, the Dream Team, Space Jam, some great rivalries. I loved the NBA at the time and definitely remember it being huge but hard for me say it was bigger than the NFL. I also get the comments I was reading could have been coming from biased NBA fans reminiscing on the glory years of basketball but it was amazing to me how many people were liking and agreeing with those comments. Just curious what your perceptions of that statement to be? I feel like the NBA was huge but still not bigger than the NFL

2015 Carolina Panthers: Have we ever been as good?
BillsPride12 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
The thing that stands out to me is how much more physical that Carolina team was especially on Defense. Even though we have had good Defenses under McBeane we haven't been able to get to that level Carolina was at in 2015. Not for lack of trying or using resources but Beane has struggled to put together a dominant Defensive line here, one of the biggest things holding the Bills back from being a true Super Bowl contender IMO.
