  4. I was smart enough to take the day off from work today but man I was hurting this morning. Sore throat from yelling all day, hands felt all bruised from banging on the bleachers, sunburn. Man you just know it was a good game when you wake up feeling like that. I'm nervous though because I won't be able to get next Monday off work after the Patriot's game.
  5. I agree with everybody that understands that the NFL and gameday atmosphere is a whole other creature than what it was in the 80s and 90s but believe me I would love to see the goalposts come down again someday. Now is just NOT the time. Having a long losing streak is not the same as losing to a team for an entire decade(0-20 against Miami throughout the 70s)and it was just a different atmosphere in 1980. Once we finally clinch a playoff birth and especially if it were a scenario where we also won our division and clinched a home playoff game I would absolutely join the crowd that says yeah lets do it. It would be a terrible, terrible idea to do it next week though. I agree with the other people it would be cool if everybody stays in their seat after the clock ticks down to 0 and just celebrates in the stands for an extended period of time.
  6. I thought both the crowd and parking lots were suprisingly well behaved especially for a home opener. There were two Raiders fans sitting by me but both were classy and only received good natured ribbing. Before the end of the last drive we agreed with the Raider fan that no matter what happens either way it was a Hell of a game. Overall a great day at the Ralph.
  7. I gotta admit MNF will be taking a backseat in my livingroom tonight

  11. Thris thread reminded me of an old one about the Bills-Raiders game I saved as a favorite years ago. Gave me the urge to dig it up and re-read all the great memories. Gave me the chills http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/40034-orgasmic-happiness-15-years-ago-today/
  12. There's actually a simple explanation for that my friend...We are talking about the freakin Buffalo Bills here
  13. Lol just sounds like he was making a sarcastic comment on twitter. I highly doubt he actually applied for a job aT Home Depot.
  14. Seeing as Nix and company finally got the Bills D-line straightened out I have faith they will fix up the offensive line next. Have patience folks were finally starting to put together a real team here at OBD.
  15. His stats were putrid as an average player standards
  16. This is the type of guy who could really fall in love with WNY and the city of Buffalo. Doesn't seem like a Miami or NYC guy

  18. Went golfing near the Rochester area today, so I used this opportunity to try my first Garbage Plate from the famous Nick Tahou's... I approve

  21. Im gonna miss the SMOKER chants whenever somebody would light up in the endzones.
  22. Agreed. Could you imagine him and Favre playing together during Favre's prime? GB might have one another Super Bowl during that era.
  23. When I first saw the title of this thread the first name that popped into my head was Terell Davis but I can't say that I disagree with the o-line situation in Denver so on second thought he might not be the best choice. Another intriguing name that came up in this thread-Marcus Dupree. After watching his 30 for 30 it really had me thinking for awhile just how good this guy could've been in the NFL. A classic case of woulda, coulda, shoulda? I don't know how much of it was injury related though as opposed to just being put in a position to fail?
