Is it a league with a group of guys who are all friends with each other, if so is there any inside joke among your group that you could work into the league name? that will go over well....our league did that. While it might sound stupid to outsiders, for all of us its pretty awesome. One of the best parts about fantasy football is the camaraderie with the group if it is a league where everybody knows each other, almost like a fraternity in a sense.

I've already decided I'm not taking him in the first round. Seeing as its all local WNY guys in my league, there's no way he drops past the first so I've already determined I will not be drafting him on my 2015 team this year and I'm ok with it....I agree with the guys who said stay away from Bills players at all costs in fantasy drafts

See I knew Bruce would teach Mario a thing or two when they were hanging out earlier this year

2:40 mark....Love watching a Bills player put an ass whooping on a Miami Dolphin

Walter Payton
Ronnie Lott
85 Bears defense
Brett Favre
Troy Polamalu
Lawrence Taylor(as a player)
Jerry Rice
Reggie White
There are just so many greats out there

I'll always remember him more for getting steamrolled by Mario Williams than the Richie Incognito thing

LOL. Shady for the win

I've watched that video 1,000 times. One of the all time great moments in Sabres history.
RJ: "Now they're all chasing after Campbell!"
That's Caps play by play man Joe Beninati saying: "Ohhhhh! Campbell. Just destroyed Umberger."
There's a whole series of great calls in that video.
Great play by play calling takes sports viewing to a higher more enjoyable level.
But RJ's call killed all the other commentator's. Probably because of all the Van Miller talk this past week but watching this clip made me not only appreciate what an awesome hit that was by Campbell but how awesome Jeanneret's playcall was on that one

I think it's time for Thurman and Freddy to pay Shady a visit and have a discussion on what it means to be a professional football player.
Ummmm Thurman partied his ass off when he was a professional football player
-
but what do you think is in Shady's gift baskets? Probably stuff from Dollar Tree.
Better than what Bill Cosby is handing out in his gift baskets

Kinda strange to hear about this. When that movie dropped Brett Favre was the king of the league, a Drew Bledsoe cameo wouldn't have had the same impact IMO

No not at a time when the Bills are finally becoming relevant again, a felt this way a few years ago but my excitement has definitely been rising again

Nice thread. I think you're being a little kind to 2004 on the DL comparison. That was a good DL, no doubt, but our D line is leagues better now, and it's not close.
We had good Defensive tackles in 2004 but our Ends were awful(ok Schoebol wasn't awful but def overrated by Bills fans). As a whole our defensive line is light years ahead of 2004

who?!
There are alot of people out there on the messageboards(not just this one) that make it sound like its already a foregone conclusion that Mario is going to be traded or released within a year because we need to sign Dareus and Dareus is younger/more valuable.......Ridiculous I know right

Bills
Sabres
Chicago Bulls
Syracuse Orange for College Hoops
Big golf fan but no particular rooting interests; for the most part I like to see all those guys do well

I've been trying to tell anybody who will listen that Mario is FAR from washed up! He actually looked to be in his physical prime just last season. Dude is just one of those genetic freaks that obviously takes care of his body during the offseason. There should be no reason to trade, release or do anything to Mario besides restructure his contract until the day he is ready to call it quits. It pisses me off that so many Bills fans are already writing him off as not being a part of the team much longer. This guy is still a very big piece to the puzzle. No way Rex lets him go. Best defensive line in the NFL-BILLS

I've been tuned into WGR, 97 Rock and 103.3 The Edge all day when I've had the opportunity and its been great hearing all the Van Miller stories and famous playcalls....VAN MILLER MONDAY!

i work with a lot of Steelers fans. They are die hard and suicidal when they lose. Last year they wanted to fire Tomlin and trade Ben until about 3/4 through the season. Don't even mention LeBeau, they wanted him gone years ago. He's finally gone and now they are worried it might not be him that was holding them back. Now they are ok with Ben but still hate Tomlin. And they whine about their defense as much as we whine about our offense. It's pretty funny.
Lol as annoying as that sounds, you've gotta admit the Steeler's organization has given their fans some pretty high expectations with all of the success they've had over the years

The ESPY's haven't been very good in years but I may tune in for a little bit to get my sports fix

Rminds me of when Spinal Tap was on the Simpsons.
Haha yes! Love that episode

The jokes would've been way better in this thread if this happened to Donte Whitner instead

Met Ralph Wilson once just a few years before he passed. He was hanging out at one of the real seedy strip clubs off of Lundy's Lane- like not the Sundowner. Anyway he rolled in with a bunch of other real old guys and they were really yuckin it up. I'm talkin grabbing and pinching the strippers' asses, etc. They were getting warned by the bouncers but Ralph was quick to pull out the "do you know who I am?" card and soon after, a manager came over and pretty much told the bouncers to let it slide unless he got overly belligerent. Anyway later that night, Ralph found himself in one of those real pathetic situations where he overextended himself with the lapdances and the stripper had to walk with him to the ATM and hover over him while he took out the cash. Evidently he was insisting that he only got like four dances and the stripper said he got six. So eventually he took out $100, flung it in the stripper's general direction and said, "listen sweetheart, I'm used to dealing with dames four times your age and I aint getting into it with you. You can take it or leave it" and then he blew a cloud of smoke from his cigar right in her face. It's funny too because he sounded like a guy straight out of an old movie from the 40's or something. Anyway fortunately his buddies grabbed him before there was much of altercation with the bouncers but they walked him out right then and there. I had the privilege of talking with him outside after the incident- I actually bought him a hot dog from one of the vendors outside after one of his buddies bummed me a Players. Ralph was wasted and all disheveled, untucked, etc. (he'd been drinking Scotch all night long) but he talked about how much he loved the Bills and he thanked me for being a fan and supporting the team. The guys turned out to be his tennis buddies- they were a riot and said that they'd been frequenting strip clubs with Ralph for 40 years. Anyway he passed away shortly after that and I never got a chance to meet him again. I'll never forget that night.
I kept waiting for a punch line....but I'm starting to think this was a serious post...This really happened!?

Well one of his nicknames on the Bills was "Horsecock" (for anatomy reference not temperament).
I totally get Bills fandom but it is alittle alarming you know this tidbit
Robert Woods-Wow!

I agree with everything you just said there 100%. This team has certainly gone through a culture change over the last few seasons. I'll take a guy like Robert who plays with a passion and may occasionally take a bad penalty once in awhile over a guy who has no desire but doesn't take any penalties. I seem to remember Andre Reed taking similar penalties like that here and there and that only got him to oh I dunno...the Hall of Fame
