  1. "This is a tough time but Buffalo is a tough town and they will get through this"- Bill Polian on ESPN today
  2. RIP Ralph. I feel privileged to have been there in Canton to see you inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009. Thank You for bringing this region its most prized possession
  3. Unfortunately nothing this year For the remainder of tax season I am helping out an accountant buddy of mine who is shorthanded at his office right. Between my regular job and this I have been very busy the last month and a half and will be until the middle of April. The extra income is nice but I haven't been able to keep up with sports nearly as much as I would like to lol so this year I probably won't be paying too much attention and it looks like Cuse doesn't have the mental toughness to pull it off anyway so I'm not as upset now. On the plus side somehow between both jobs I was lucky enough to pull having the day off today so I am about to be heading out soon to get my Irish on Enjoy your party Gordio it sounds awesome!
  4. Over the years between numerous tailgate parties, St. Patricks Day celebrations, Vegas trips, golf outings and nights out partying that turned into early mornings I would say I have probably drank at all hours of the day some point or another in my life
  5. I love those Bills teams as much as anybody but the truth is they weren't even close in 3 out of those 4 Super Bowls so I'm having a hard time taking this topic seriously
  6. Maybe they wern't statistically the #1 v.s. #1 but the Pats-Giants Super Bowl from just a few years ago was pretty much the same scenario Best offense v.s. Best defense and the final score was 17-14 and then again when they played each other a couple years after that it was 21-17. Alot of the pro Denver people are really selling Seattle's defense short
  7. Rooting for Seattle I think they will win but I admit its going to be close and its def not a gimmie Debating whether or not to lay a bet down on the game, already decided not touching the over/under in this one
  8. No argument there, I wish they could've at least toned it down
  9. Quote off an article from bleacherreport; i tried posting the link but received a message stating the administrator does not allow links to that website. But the main article was more about the Seahawks however this was a good exercpt: ""The last Super Bowl team that was actually fun and interesting during the week was Buffalo in the 1990s. No team partied like the Bills. I'd see half the team out on the town every night. I'd be leaving some place, and the Bills would still be in the joint, closing it down, young women on each arm. They were lively quotes all week, loose and fun" I wanna say the 96 Packers team was pretty wild too if I remember correctly, that year the Super Bowl was played in New Orleans and I remember seeing clips of Brett Favre out partying on Bourbon St. that week but yeah nowadays teams are pretty lame. The Patriots had absolutely no excitement factor any of the times they made it to the Big Show
  10. I like the Schwartz signing but your reaching for the stars with the Belicheck comparison
  11. I hope he also kicked him in the nuts before he gave him his walking papers
  12. In my post I was referring to John in Jax as he was refusing to give this kid any credit, saying that he's only good because he's 6'3, and how hard is it to just run down the field with another guy, blah, blah, blah Okayyyy buddy
  13. For those of you who refuse to give Sherman any respect for his work ethic and think he is just having success off of natural ability PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch this video and then tell me what you think. If you don't change your mind after this, then you have no credibility as a football fan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbQGlO0B5nY#t=6m54s
  14. But you know what, watching a team as talented and powerful as the 49ers fail to get back to a consecutive Super Bowl really reinforces just what an amazing accomplishment it was for the Bills to go back 4 years in a row regardless of the SB outcomes IMO
  15. I agree I thought the same thing last night
  16. Best nickname ever for an interior lineman haha
  17. Once again the boneheaded favre errors got worse as the years went along. He was on a Peyton/Brady level from 95-97(you know when he was the NFL MVP for those 3 years straight), he slowly started to decline but even from the late 90s to around 2003 or 04 he was still pretty damn good. Then he had that unbelieavable year in Minnesota in 09. I get it the guy completely tarnished his legacy and it even has hurt his reputation with me as a fan of his, and I can understand if you don't like the guy but people can't take away from all of his accomplishments and how great he was in the mid 90s just because they don't like him. I think so many people even forget how beloved he was in the 90s and then he became the poster boy for the media attention(which is what began to turn people off from him) in the 2000s but it wasn't his fault that is just when the 24/7 sports media coverage was really coming into play and he was "that guy" at the time and now they are doing the same with Brady and Peyton.
  18. Straight up: Pats and Seahawks ATS:Pats/Not touching the Niners/Hawks game
  19. I will say this though a major part of the problem is there just aren't a lot of great head coaching candidates out there right now. A lot of the older, veteran head coaches that have proven their worth have retired the headset for good.
  20. This lackluster hire has gotta really sting for Lions fans because they actually have a lot of talent on that team and should be a playoff team. I also post on a golf forum and there are some Lions fans who post there who are not pleased with the hire at all
  21. Vince Lombardi is the greatest of all-time. He turned an awful Packers team into Champions without upgrading the roster but by motivating the guys he had into winners.
  22. I can't believe we are 3 pages deep and only two people have mentioned Brett Favre. I can't think of a player who ever tarnished their image more than that guy his last few years in the NFL. If he would've just retired and stuck to it the first time he announced it while he was with Green Bay I have a feeling he would be on the majority of people's top 5 lists. I'm certainly not saying he is #1 but he has to at least rank #4 or #5 but his prime years were so long ago now that I just think people go by his later years in the NFL(which there were a lot of since he played for such a long time) but in the mid to late 90s there was nobody better. Tough as nails too
  23. I love how you just contradicted yourself in back to back sentences
  24. Haha yeah I agree with that 100% Because the Buffalo Bills season is over and there really isn't anything Bills related to discuss right now and its just interesting to me that some people can't be bothered by watching actual football games right now, games that actually mean something, but have no problem investing their free time on a football(even though it is for the Buffalo Bills) message board. P.S. sorry if I am coming off as a jerk on here that is not my intention and not the tone I am trying to communicate with here. I'm not saying theres anything wrong with that, its just interesting to me that's all
