  1. This is a great thread, I too remember those greatly entertaining wrasslin days, my all-time favorite era was the early 90's of WWF and the later 90's was good as well. Its a shame for young kids growing up today that are missing out

  2. i heard some sports guy on the radio last week talking about this situation and claimed that there are potentially dozens of other chicks out there. he claimed that Tiger has a freaky side to him that Elin wasn't willing to give him and as a result he went elsewhere to find it.....i suspect this is merely the tip of the iceberg and that Jack Nicklaus' record is pretty safe...i think this will take a toll on Tigers game and he won't recover.....

Yes, but the question is will Wilt Chamberlin's record be safe?

  3. It looks like Im jumping into this topic a little late, but as someone who saw it from a mutual standpoint(I worked as a busboy when I was in high school at a restaurant) there was definitely friction between the cooks and servers. I later worked at a couple car dealerships part-time when I was going through college as a detailer and it was the exact same thing there between car salesmen and detailers/mechanics. There was alot of contempt for the salesmen as they did absolutely nothing but bull **** customers into buying the cars while we did all of the actual work on the cars. The salesmen did more bitching and moaning than anyone else there and if they wern't dealing with a customer you could find them flicking rubber bands around or hitting on the 18year old receptionists while we were cleaning the floors for barely over minimum wage. It was funny to as a young adult seeing first hand the difference between guys who made their living by doing blue-collar laboring work in the mechanics and on the other hand all those lazy salesmen who hated to get their hands dirty and just the complete difference in the personalities and lifestyles they had.

  4. When talking about attendance levels another thing to keep in mind is that I'm sure there were large amounts of college/college aged kids that went out and got bombed halloween night and were too hungover to make it to the game sunday. I talked to a couple people that said Chippewa Street was completely packed with people up and down the whole street saturday night.

  5. All I know is Death Row was some crazy ****. I remember watching some documentary about them back in the day and Suge Knight had half that place employed with bloods and the other half with crips. Everybody was packin heat there and I guess just alot of overall tension, lots of fights and people getting their ass kicked, people drinking and smoking weed there. Must have been an absolutely chaotic place to "work".

  6. I agree with the OP on almost all those points and would also like to add:

    * The game is getting too soft with the horrible roughing the passer penalties that are out there nowadays, back in the day the name of the game was blasting the Qb if you played defense. Deacon Jones has gotta be sick to his stomach.

*No more primetime...whether I was at the Ralph for the day or at a bar or my buddies house wherever, I used to really look forward to going home and knowing I would get to see all of the days highlights and action put together in a very entertaining fashion.

*Players are growing up with too much hype and getting perks as early as high school and definately college. By the time they make it to the NFL they feel like they don't have to prove anything, that they have already made it. Back in the day, that was just the beginning there was still alot more left to be proved. Just ask Thurman :wallbash:
