Andre Reed coaching with Bills (intern)
BillsPride12 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex Ryan was on Shred and Ragan this morning(local Buffalo radio talk show) and he brought this topic up and said that he ran into Andre during Super Bowl weekend and Andre expressed interest in doing this and Rex said absolutely..He also went on to say that he wants all those legendary Bills to know that they will always have a home in Buffalo and they can come by practice anytime they want. I really like how Rex is embracing our team history. -
I remember Nate Newton stating in a Sports Illustrated article that back in the Cowboys Super Bowl years during training camp they would send the rookies out to get cases of beer and fried chicken from KFC for their post practice meals. Overall nutrition and health wasn't nearly as big of a deal or monitored back then like it is nowadays

I love the "original" Simpsons era but its beyond time for this show to be put out of its misery and this might be the perfect timing now -

Upcoming 30 for 30 on Bills Super Bowl run in 90s
BillsPride12 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is exactly the type of tone I hope the film takes. I think the 4 Super Bowl losses have been covered pretty well but the 90s Bills were so much more than that. I don't think you will ever see another professional sports team have a connection to its fanbase that the Bills did from 1986 to 1996. The players personalities(and Marv) were a perfect fit for our charismatic blue collar city. It was indeed a match made in heaven. I hope it spends some time on really showing how crazy and passionate the atmosphere was around town back then. I don't think the younger fans truly grasp it. I mean sure football is more popular now than ever but its just different these days, everything is just so much cheesier and force fed through social media. It felt more pure back then it was a simpler time and Buffalo really was just a blue collar town having the time of its life with their football team. -
Best road trip this season to see Bills?

My group had been planning on the KC game, absolutely awful timing with the weekend it falls on. Right now in the process of seeing if we can still make it work -

So many great ones The Best That Never Was was excellent(about Marcus Dupree, I enjoy learning more about some of the guys that didn't make it big that were projected to be mega stars and what their story is) The Jimmy Valvano one Jordan Rides The Bus Reggie Miller and Winning Time(as a huge fan of 90s era NBA I thought that was a great topic to cover) The one about Len Bias, although it was very sad The Bernie and Ernie show Elway to Marino as already mentioned

I know exactly what your talking about. Either 2003 or 2004 in an NFL Countdown segment on ESPN they interviewed T.O. and asked him who he thought the best 3 WR's in the game were, He said Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, and Eric Moulds and talked about how underrated he was. Apparently they used to also play some basketball together during the offseason. Moulds was a tremendous all around athlete, its a shame he never got a chance to play in an offense where he could shine...One thing I will always remember vividly about Eric Moulds was when we were playing against Baltimore and Bledsoe threw a pick that was being returned, Willis McGahee was in perfect position to make the tackle and just quit on the play, it looked like the returner was going to take it back for a Touchdown but then you see Moulds come flying down the other side of the field and makes the tackle to save the touchdown. The reporters asked him about that play after the game and he just said that he played with Bruce and Thurman and Andre and he learned not to ever quit when your out on that field and when you put on a Bills uniform you are representing those that guys that he played with and you could tell he sincerely had the utmost respect for those guys, very similar to the way Rex has embraced our football history. The whole thing gives me the goosebumps to this day

Dude thats awesome! I remember Bruce and Bennett used to tell each other "Let's meet at the quarterback" I think we finally have some current D-lineman who share that same philosophy! -

Yup and I am hoping we start to see this become a new trend with the Bills now in this new era under Pegula. Exciting times to be a Bills fan again! -

Article: Kyle Williams knows he belongs in Buffalo
BillsPride12 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love the guy, he is everything you dream of as a guy you want suiting up in the red, white, and blue. He is a perfect fit for Buffalo and def one of my favorite players during the playoff drought years, I really hope he gets to enjoy some success these next few years...could be the modern day Darryl Talley -
Looks more like a college uniform IMO...but then again more acceptable than the Arena Football Look of the Jaguars and Buccaneers
-
It was clear he wasn't 100% from Day 1 last season going back to that rib injury he initially suffered. The crazy thing is even with how good he looked as a rookie I think he still has so much more to offer and he is going to be an All Pro, when you see the lack of talent in this year's draft I think Whaley pulled the right move by trading this years first

Watching Bills games at Big Tree Inn?
BillsPride12 replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, wanted to get season tickets this year but the lower level is completely sold out already which is where I prefer to sit. This means tickets on the black market will be going for 4-5 times more than face value(as long as the Bills don't completely **** the bed which I don't see happening this year). Don't get me wrong I will still attend a few games but realistically I won't be able to afford tickets to every home game this year and like I said if this season ends up being as exciting as its being hyped up to be I'm gonna wanna soak up every second of the atmosphere in Orchard Park. Ok great this is the answer I was looking for. I remember reading somewhere there's actually a group of regulars that prefer watching the games there than ever actually going inside the stadium -
Since getting Bills tickets at a reasonable price isn't going to be a reality this year I'm trying to find a solid plan B for an exciting place to catch alot of the games. I've been to the Big Tree and its a great bar but I've never been there for a game. Anybody on here ever go there to watch the games? Seeing as its kind of a smaller place I'd be worried it would be too crowded and they don't have a ton of tv's
