  1. I still enjoy the camaraderie with fellow Bills fans even though we've been in a constant state of mourning for almost 20 years now. But yeah the connections and bonds I have with other die-hard Bills fans make it a fun past-time right now while the actual product isn't a fun past time at all.
  2. Gotta admit it will be tough sitting through the rest of this season if things continue to be this bad. Going into today I was actually excited to watch our defense play, but they were just as bad as our offense. I will continue to watch every game this season because I'll always watch win or lose but as a season ticket holder there is no way I see myself going to the rest of the games and I am seriously considering dropping my seasons after this year. It is really becoming a chore to watch the Bills instead of a passion and that just breaks my heart.
  3. Terrible post. 80% of this board probably doesn't even live in WNY currently so you lost all credibility with your first sentence.
  4. Yeah that's crazy, the Bills-Patriots game feels like it's been 7 years ago but I'm finding it hard to believe the B&B reboot was that long ago but it's funny how your mind can play tricks on you. Yeah I was excited for it too, and I liked the episodes I caught but I didn't watch it religiously unfortunately because I just had too much going on at the time. I think there's probably some truth to that about the younger generations. Beavis and Butthead didn't really run in syndication much at all, and you have to think about all the cartoon shows still around or ones that came out after B&B The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park. There is a whole generation out there that didn't grow up on Beavis and Butthead and the majority of people from our generation are busy raising families and working two jobs to make ends meat right now. To me Beavis and Butthead is a classic case of you had to have experienced it in its heyday to really get it, so I can see why the younger generation didn't get hooked.
  5. I'm honestly not sure what the numbers were but I just remember there not being a very strong buzz about it when it came back, I just think way too much time had gone by and people had moved on to other things. Just my opinion. Wow that was 2011 when they came back? I thought it was only 2-3 years ago. It's crazy how fast time flies by these days!
  6. While I agree that it may never happen lol...I have to disagree that people would still hold onto Wide Right and No Goal. If anything I think it would be the complete opposite where Buffalo fans would finally have closure and be able to move on from those moments. It is pretty pathetic people still dwell on them with how long it has been now yet also completely understandable because neither team has won a championship yet so there is always that what if.....but if the Bills and Sabres brought home some hardware I absolutely think the majority of fans would be able to leave Wide Right and No Goal behind them.
  7. I called it as soon as they were brought back that the comeback would be brief and wouldn't make it to a second season. As I mentioned in my post earlier, that show was around at the perfect time in it's heyday. Things are just so different nowadays I knew it wouldn't catch on to be a mainstream hit like it was in the 90's.
  8. Now there's a show I haven't thought about in a long time. I used to love watching it back in the day though, it was just perfect for that time period.
  9. I had a miserable hangover that Sunday, watched it from home and the way I felt matched the atmosphere of the game. Will never forget that one...unfortunately
  10. It's funny how that works....the Tremaine posts seem to be a lot different than they were after preseason and Week 1 ?‍♂️
  11. I think Mighty Taco is probably still the most popular WNY chain place, but Anderson's is also right up at the top along with Ted's.
  12. The best part was when Sal called out the guy who was saying the Pegula's should take survey's of former QB's and that Peterman has a pinched nerve on how he was mispronouncing the Pegula's name lol
  13. Man I wish I was listening...priceless moment!
  14. It's the way the sport has evolved. All coaches are like that nowadays. Long gone are the days of Lombardi, Ditka, Jim Mora, Denny Green, and even our very own Marv Levy. The sport was so much more entertaining when coaches weren't afraid to show emotion and call it like it was but nowadays everybody wants to play it safe.
  15. Fans shouldn't be in that proximity right after a heated ball game where they can record(or even see it themselves for that matter) the emotions and things players are saying immediately after a rough loss. It's a very emotional and passionate game. Things get said in the heat of the moment that are raw human emotion that players would probably like to take back once they have some time to regain composure. Just my opinion.
  16. Never had em before, will have to give them a try sometime
  17. Gotta love Buffalo! Where were the wings from?
  18. If you take Hasek in his prime and put him in Net on the 2006 team we win that Cup hands down! My biggest gripe with the Sabres as an organization was how do you not surround the greatest goalie to ever play the game with a better supporting cast? It was criminal that we couldn't build a better team in the Hasek era and remarkable at the same time he was able to carry the Sabres to a Stanley Cup final. The 05-06 team was definitely a better team all around even though they didn't get as far as the 99 team did. I agree if not for all the injuries to our D down the stretch we most likely get past Carolina and go on to smoke the Oilers in the Finals that year. The 716 was rocking that year in a way I hadn't seen since the Bills Super Bowl runs.
  19. I'd say a reasonable comparison(and I say reasonable because obviously every situation is unique and going to be a little different) is Brett Favre. He had some raw athleticism and a cannon of an arm but he wasn't very polished at all coming out of college. He showed flashes here and there of what he was capable of but he had to really develop his skills before he became a stud. It took a few years but the biggest thing that sticks out to me was he was working with some great offensive minds and the master himself Andy Reid who is doing wonders with Patrick Mahomes in KC. Do we have the right guys in place that can maximize Josh Allen's talents?
  20. Like I said I was just taking a shot without actually looking at any stats when I threw Rodgers name out there, but I had no idea he was that far behind him. What Brees has accomplished in his career is really mind-blowing when you think about it especially because of the way he has gone under the radar due to the huge spotlight on Brady and Manning during his era. I think this record will be pretty safe for a LONG time knowing that Rodgers has no shot chasing it down and there really isn't anybody else out there I can even think of that I would be worried about catching it.
  21. Luck has absolutely no shot at it....the only guy offhand without looking up any stats that I figure would be in the ballpark to break it down the road would be Rodgers?
  22. Some people on here have no ties to WNY and other's might have family ties but never lived in the area or moved away when they were really young. Hockey isn't very big in many parts of the U.S. so I think that's where you are seeing the disconnect. Just my theory. But in Buffalo people are very passionate about the Sabres as well.
  23. I take it your not a local WNYer? The Sabres are big in Buffalo but a lot of people on this board are not locals
  24. Don't worry about getting a deli sandwich. Bring some beer, mingle and make new friends at the tailgate and I'm sure somebody will take care of you with something right off the grill!
