If that is true..that is shocking to me...you would think they would feel the exact opposite since the Bills just made it to the AFC championship game

I've never played Dande Farms but have heard good things, will have to put it on my list to check out.

Best bang for your buck in WNY is Terry Hills in my opinion. One of the most fun courses to play and very reasonably priced. I do like Glen Oak though

It's starting to feel like us WNY golfers might finally get an early Spring for a change!

Was there anyone else like Payne Stewart? (NFL related)
BillsPride12 replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Speaking about athletes/golfers being Bills fans..does anybody know the backstory with Phil Mickelson and the Bills? I'm not sure if he's a true Bills fan but I know he likes the Bills. He was even tweeting about them last year during the run we were on. -
Losing a parent - when does it start to get easier?
BillsPride12 replied to Patience's topic in Off the Wall
Being able to vent and let it out does help to a degree even though it doesn't fix things. Listening to other people's experiences is comforting for me. I cannot relate to losing my parents yet on a personal level but there has been a lot of stuff that has happened with my extended family over the years and now nobody really talks anymore and the Holidays are always very difficult for me..this past Christmas I made a post on here just kind of venting and asking if anybody else could relate and it was very comforting and it did help me cope reading through everybody's replies. -

This is complete speculation on my part but if this is even true about him having a room dedicated to the Bills it might have something to do with the 90s era Bills in particular because that was around the time he was coming up. I would have to say Shaq is not a true Bills fan because I feel like we would hear way more about it but he might have a fondness for the Jim Kelly/Bruce Smith/Thurman Thomas days...he might even know some of them personally but like I said I'm just 100 percent speculating. I don't remember ever hearing this story. -

Not sure if this fits your narrative but the first guy that popped into my head was post-Detroit Pistons Dennis Rodman rocking all the different hair colors and his "exotic" personality. Biggest character in professional sports history in my opinion. -
Not a huge book guy but I do like reading a few Sports books a year. Right now I am currently reading Three Ring Circus by Jeff Pearlman about the Kobe-Shaq Lakers dynasty years. Probably not the reading material the OP was looking for but for any Sports fans looking for some good light reading it's a pretty good behind the scenes look at those Laker teams.

The Sabres are going to break the record for the longest playoff drought in NHL history
-
I get it because they have really become unwatchable and this has been going on for a decade now. But I still think it would hurt like hell if the Sabres left town. They have too much history here and WNY is without a doubt a hockey town. It's not like Buffalo would be given an NBA team or something like that all of a sudden if the Sabres left and there just isn't much to do in the Winter time. If they Bills could finally figure things out I have faith the Sabres will eventually figure it out. When the Sabres are playing well this town is electric during hockey season.

Season tickets selling fast?
BillsPride12 replied to The Firebaugh Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last time I spoke with my ticket rep(about a month ago) she said that the entire 100 level was sold out for season tickets and there was only limited seating available in the 200s and 300s and even that might get filled to capacity. Really shouldn't come as any surprise after the season we just had and the Josh Allen factor. Bills tickets sold pretty strongly even during the drought years. -

Has anyone here lived in the same town or state their whole life?
BillsPride12 replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Been in WNY my entire life. I do notice that it feels like the majority of the posters on here seem to have lived all over the place...always makes me feel like I've done something wrong with my life -
RIP Marty Schottenheimer

Knew it was only a matter of time once we heard he had been placed in hospice...still very sad news nonetheless RIP Marty 🙏 -
Football season is great but it is long and time consuming so I am always ok with the offseason arriving by the time the Super Bowl is over. It gives me time to enjoy other aspects in life. Being a WNYer this time of the year really does suck but normally I would use this time to catch up on movies, tv shows etc. but I'm already at that point right now with the limitations Covid has presented. The nice thing for me is my other passion in life, golf season, is right around the corner so that's what I'm counting down to now instead of waiting for next season already. Only about 2-3 months away from that and then that will keep me happy and occupied until next season gets here. I'm a Sabres fan too but I'm in the same camp that agrees the product is just not entertaining right now.

Our front 7 just isn't good enough right now. They would never admit this publicly but I wonder if behind closed doors there's some frustration on McDermott and Beane's end from the production they've gotten out of Edmunds and Oliver. These two guys were drafted to be the cornerstones of our defensive rebuild. Considering where our offense is at now and the fact we will still be able to win a lot of games in the regular season with our offense alone we will be drafting a lot lower going forward and I just wonder if Beane and McDermott are worried where they will be able to get some stud players for the front 7 going forward because I also don't think we will have the salary cap ability to sign big ticket free agents either. I think that could be a real legitimate concern but like I said these guys are never going to let on to that through the media. If Edmunds was our Kuechly/Devin White and Oliver was like our Aaron Donald our entire defense would look so much better.

Al Davis vs. the NFL (30 for 30 recap)
BillsPride12 replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love to see a 30 for 30 that focused on the Raiders football team of the 70s itself or maybe even a Raiders-Steelers in the 70s rivalry episode/series. That would be awesome! -

I'm all for getting a pass rusher but I don't like the sound of developmental DE. I feel like we already have too many "developmental" players on this roster and we need to start nailing down some sure thing talent. If you can get that from a RB at 30 this year I'm all for it. I just don't see how a stud pass rusher will be there at 30 and I def don't need to see another developmental guy drafted early by the Bills.
