His arm wasn't anywhere close to Marino and Elway, and it faded badly in his early 30's. There is a reason he retired at 36. He was physically spent his last 2 seasons.

He also suffered a shoulder injury in college that probably derailed some of his natural arm strength.  Didn't have the same arm strength of Elway and Marino but let's not act like he didn't have an arm on him

  2. Not a Wrestling guy anymore but was a big fan growing up.  There's a behind the scenes documentary on Peacock about Wrestlemania 9 that was really good.  That event took place outdoors in Las Vegas and at the time was so different than any other WWF events I had ever watched so it was something that really stood out back then.  Pretty cool to see a behind the scenes look at it all these years later.

Kelly held his own. That wasn’t an easy locker room. Nobody ever questioned who the Bills quarterback was, and tried to kick him out the door and rebuild with a big draft day splash. He was used up when he retired, but it says a lot I think that the Bills were at home in the playoffs and a decent favorite for his very last game. The game as a mess and ended his career, but I think he gets some nice bonus points for that, and not having two abysmal seasons end his career, which seriously could’ve happened in Buffalo. We’ll see with how Josh’s career.. Jimbo was.. kinda George Washingtonesque doing is a favorite and walking away. We had one Todd Collins season and then were right back with Johnson/Flutie/Defense.

Yeah I mean the Kelly is a bum takes are asinine.  If you want to argue he was "overrated" that's fair game because there are some Bills fan that probably do overrate his overall career but the people that act like he was just a guy surrounded by a talented team are nuts.  Kelly played a pivotal role in the success of those Super Bowl Bills teams and is a legit Hall of Famer and was a big star in the NFL in the late 80s and early 90s.  I think time and narrative causes people to get things twisted.  Now that Josh Allen has arrived and surpassed Jimbo some are going back only viewing Kelly's career in a negative light.

  4. Wow I didn't see any mention of this anywhere until now either surprisingly.  I remember him from Dazed, Boston Public and Boiler Room too.  So young 😥

  5. Hate watching us get bullied and pushed around.  One of the top priorities for this offseason should be bringing in a legit tough guy.  I know it's not the 90s or early 2000s anymore but there's been far too many games this year where we have just gotten pushed around.  I admire Tuch for dropping the gloves but he can't fight for s***.

  6. Interesting stat.  Also kind of infuriating as a Sabres fan.  If you would have told me at the beginning of the season all 3 of those teams would be out of the mix I would have felt pretty confident the Sabres would've made it in.

The Bills only realistically had a chance to win the first SB.  The other 3 were against better teams.

As for the first SB, I chalk it up mostly to the team, as was its wont back in the day, partying up until the wee hours of SB morning and being out of shape when game time rolled around.  I also think that Marchibroda should have told Kelly that they're not playing the run and to keep feeding Thurman until they do.

    I don't think that's a hot take at all.

Look I really like the Fitz as a person but sometimes I get agitated at how much love he gets from the fanbase these days.

He had the nickname Picks-patrick or Fitz-tragic as a Bill for a reason.

This is a take I agree with 100%...and I too like Fitz.  But him being built up as a football hero in Bills history was a product of how bad the 17 year drought was.  It reminds me of when we gave a way over the hill Terrell Owens a key to the city when he played here that one season.

If Fitz came around after Josh Allen it would have been looked at completely differently lol

They still have great coverage of college football & college basketball.

    That's about it.

I don't really follow college sports too much except for following some draft coverage around this time of the year

You're not mistaken... the original one is still on East Main St in Batavia but it's not owned by the Pontillo family anymore. The new owners couldn't talk the old man into keeping the Pontillo name when they bought the place so it's called "Batavia's Original Pizzaria" now.

Just curious...is it still the same recipe?  Never had Pontillo's before and would be interested in giving it a try

Darts! (Not sure if it qualifies as a "sport") During the heyday of the 80's - 90's pub darts craze, i got seriously hooked. Bought a few sets of darts, had lots of different flights, my own bristle board, etc.  i spent hours, days, weeks, months (yes - probably invested a good 8 months in this)  in my parent's basement practicing.

I got marginally better, but (like golf) was wildly inconsistent and could never rely on a shot going exactly were i aimed it.  Sigh . . .

There's a nice pub a few towns over called the "British Bulldog." they have TONS of dartboards and even have league. I've stayed away....

The secret to playing Darts is the drunker you get the more accurate you become
