Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)

You could be right. The last gift I remember him getting them that was public knowledge was when he got them all sets of golf clubs and memberships to Craig Burn which as a golfer myself I thought was an awesome gift idea! But that might have been a couple Christmas's ago

Yeah Lebron going back to Cleveland trying to win them a Championship and that rivalry it formed with Golden State was the last time the NBA was truly compelling to me. Although I didn't really watch much of it I was also glad to see Giannis bring a title to Milwaukee but outside of that there has been absolutely nothing in the NBA that has kept my attention after Cleveland-GS in 2016

This 100% The modern era lacks true rivalries and the passion/physical play that we saw in the 80s and 90s. These guys all bounce around to different teams way too frequently now. Haven't paid any attention to the NBA since 2016 and don't see myself ever going back at this point

I've been wondering this as well. Usually we have found this out well before now. Not sure why it is being kept a secret this year

Merry Christmas Y'all! GO BILLS

Those Kringle Juice IPA's are damn good. My parents host Christmas Day and my Mom always makes a traditional Chistmas punch with no alcohol in it but I always add a Nip of Vodka to mine to add some Holiday cheer

My take: If KC beats Pittsburgh on Wednesday…
BillsPride12 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with that. Used to happen to the Peyton Manning Colts teams all the time. They would start resting guys in Week 15 and have the first round BYE and by the time they played their next football game a month had gone by and they would come out totally flat. -
Name a player who is comparable to Josh Allen.....
BillsPride12 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
There isn't one. Josh is a true Unicorn. We are beyond lucky to have him -
Definitely a good slate of games today. I'll be able to watch the KC-Hou game but unfortunately won't be able to see much of Pittsburgh-Baltimore which is the game I would rather be able to watch. Have some family Holiday stuff going on tonight. The only downside to the NFL scheduling more and more games during non-traditional time slots

That was the mall of my childhood! Great memories

Ironically I have heard this is what really birthed tailgating as we know it today. It was before my time so I don't know how much truth there is to that but I have read that Buffalo was behind the times and the Rockpile was the last stadium where you could bring your own booze in. Fans counter punched by just drinking out in the parking lots before the game at Rich Stadium

It's amazing how some of these kids today try to minimize the careers of absolute legends. There was a Jaromir Jagr quote a few years back on the same topic but in the NHL and to paraphrase him he said something along the lines of how it was ridiculous to think the old stars would be bums nowadays. He said how he was still keeping up at age 50 playing professional hockey and how Mario and Wayne were better than he was and they would have had no problem still dominating in today's NHL. Yes training and nutrition are much different today but if you are going to make these silly era comparisons you have to factor in the old school guys would have the same elite training and nutrition programs the current players do.

I hope you were at least able to grab a complimentary popcorn while you were waiting in line

And Josh Allen didn't???

I still remember the JP Losman hype when he was drafted. That he was going to be a modern day Jim Kelly/Brett Favre kind of Quarterback. I feel like Josh Allen ended up being everything Losman was hyped up to be(and then some!)
-
It's crazy because of how good we have already seen him play but it feels like Allen is just entering his true prime now. 28 is around the age when Jim Kelly started going to Super Bowls. It's around the time in Michael Jordan's career when he started winning championships. It feels like this could only just be the beginning for Josh Allen's career. It feels amazing to be a Bills fan right now

Jared Goff didn't want to be drafted by Buffalo (unsubstantiated)

Think Buffalo Sabres now
