  1. No, my day goes on just fine regardless of Spygate. I've actually saved a lot of time and money thanks to you and others who make this out to be less than it really is (which, it might be). I've chosen not to invest my emotion or my $$ in the NFL anywhere near as much. You just caught me on a day I felt like chatting a bit, and I just dislike when people dispell possibilities just "because". Anyone who doesn't think the whole Spygate thing could be a conspiracy by the NFL, or that it could be a complete bunch of absolute nothing is a fool. Honestly, it could be either, but when people take hard stands that something "is what it is" without having concrete proof is hardheaded and foolish. Tim, I've lost a lot of my passion for NFL football. Now that, my friend, is sad and isn't very amusing at all. I thought I'd never see the day. But when the NFL decided to be BIG BUSINESS instead of a passionate game played with emotion and integrity...well I lost a lot of interest...I couldn't invest in a game that had ulterior motives.
  2. True, however, the NFL is a fraternity and Jay might have either felt obligated or "obligated" to keep from making any waves. Tim, seriously are we talking about Jay Fielder being the "key" to unraveling all of the Pats Spygate mess? Lol.
  3. "Read my lips...no new taxes"! "I did not have sexual relations with that woman".
  4. Canned answer by Fiedler...nobody wants to be looked at/percieved to be spewing sour grapes. Look at what half of the draft pics in a given year say after being selected by a shityy team. "Hey, you've just been drafted by the Detroit Lions, how do you feel? "You know, it's a great organization, the fans are some of the best in the NFL and I feel there on the cusp of big things here". Lol...yeah just a few "canned" responses there I know they can change plays, and that ever team knows formations and plays from an opposing team, but I'm talking about the more indepth cheating as it pertains to the new technology.
  5. I hear you Tim, but again I think that the NFL (read BIG BUSINESS) wants nothing to do with anything that might spoil the sports image. I work for the Gov't...let me tell you there are TONS of things that people are "not in the know" about or lied to because its in the best interest of the Gov't and what the people don't know won't hurt them.
  6. Really Tim...there's not a whole lot of debate here...there's belief and there's not belief. I agree that many plays are changed at the lines...I'll give you that for sure, but if you read any of the article that MattM posted, you'll read that the Pats committed the vast majority of the "new technology" infractions as well. I mean when you rewrite an entire rulebook because of one teams continuous cheating, er...I mean borderline integrity infractions, then there must be a lot more to it than smoke. Seriously though, I'd love to know the whole truth on the matter, and the NFL did nothing to dispell any belief that the Pats infractions weren't extremely serious.
  7. Just like I asked Tim....do you honestly think they were stealing only one set of signals, or they were only videoing one side of the ball? Please now...let's not be too naive. Read the article MattM posted above in his post...the Pats were targeted for many, many infractions and I bet we'll learn about them all about as soon as we learn who shot Kennedy. I give Belicheat much cred though for working this angle to his advantage, even though I dislike him imensely because of his "holier than thou" personality.
  8. Holy hell! I told my wife (last night) I was going to use this word in a sentence today!! Too funny!
  9. Tim...really now. You don't think the Pats knew the Rams offense and their signals? They were filming those too. Ok, so tell me to what it is I don't know about it all. I enjoy being enlightened.
  10. I guess you're as blind to everything as the rest of us are then. I guess they (Pats/NFL) did a better job than I originally thought they did.
  11. I hear you...they are no longer CURRENTLY employed by the NFL, but speaking out against the NFL closes all doors in the future. C'mon Tim...we're not that simplistic.
  12. Easy to do when you know what play the other team is going to run.....
  13. I see you've mentioned a few times that "whining" about any of this illgal activity (cheating) by the Pats is "unbecoming". All I can say there is that's a typical statement from a fan of the accused. Why is it "whining" if the other 31 franchises, and their fans, got jobbed by 1 franchise and its "deep pocketed, evidently influential owner"? The whole Spygate scandal is a joke. Why did all of the evidence just get tossed? I mean do us a favor and answer unbiased on this (I can hear you chuckling how you got one over on everyone already). Just so you know...I think the Pats have done a great job of running their team, collecting/developing talent etc, but the added scandals have, in fact, soured me on all of their accomplishments.
  14. I never said you mentioned it in your AT story, but you mentioned it in your posts here many times. You said what they did was illegal (CHEATING), and therefore I mentioned that they were just better cheaters than anyone else. Yeah they got caught, but before that they seemed to use the info they garnered from the illegal activities better than everyone else.
  15. Are you implying that they were BETTER at cheating than everyone else and therefore should be crowned America's Team? Just curious.....
  16. He must've been cut/released from the active roster and placed on the practice squad. He never played a regular season down with the Bills according to everything I've read.
  17. Tim, we have our own brand of humiliation, we don't need anymore. I don't think Bills fans could even handle going 18-1 with the one loss coming in the SB. Buffalo and Billsnation as a whole would implode.
  18. It's been a slow day...slow week, yada, yada. BUT, I found this pretty funny article regarding the coolest football helmets in NFL history. Not too shabby to be #11 all-time in this list, but there are a few that are skeptical at best! http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...Coolest+Helmets I hope this wasn't posted before...enjoy. McD
  19. Also, if I'm not mistaken one, if not, THE reason we went to red helmets from our white ones was because Fergy had a hard time discerning our WR's from opponents. At the time the AFC East teams: Bills, Dolphins, Patriots, Colts had white helmets (the Jets had their green one). So we went with a color that would stand out to Fergy....red.
  20. Tyro!?!?! Holy hell I played Tyro football. I played for the Riverside Raiders. Purple and Gold baby! I haven't even heard the word Tyro in years!
  21. Thanks, that's pretty common knowledge to long standing Bills fans, but I guess a few younger ones didn't know about OJ's original number.
  22. "Practice"? "Practice"? "We're talking about practice man". "It's just practice". Diddling around at school? Ok...The kid has a few weeks left of an entire school year, let him finish. I seriously doubt it will be that much of an impact on him. Like I said he will see the field this year but I doubt it will ba as a starter, and even if it was, I'm sure he'll get in enough time with the team during camp, preseason, etc. I bet he has a playbook and a workout program with him.
  23. I wonder if she makes those same "UH"...."UH" sounds from when she used to hit a ball when Tommy's laying it down?
