  1. Lol... too funny. I think Gailey is right on the money here. Fitz HAS earned the praise, and it will (hopefully) continue to give him the confidence he needs to perform every week. Also, the Bills need to start thinking of other options besides Luck anyway. The D needs to be addressed quite a bit this off season. No better place to start than at #4 overall and a stud DE/DT.
  2. Right now you they a single way of determining "who get's to play for the title", but using the BCS poll AND a playoff, I think we'd be onto something there. There should be NO talk from the #9 team if you have an 8 team playoff... never has a #9 seeded team played for the National Title. And, realistically, IF the top 2 teams are as good as they say they are, they'll still come out on top. Have an 8 team playoff with either a full-on 8 team bracket, OR have it set up where the top 2 or 4 ranked teams get a bye. Evryone including the money makers should be ok with this...
  3. What??? Auburn played then #6 LSU and Alabama played then #7 Florida... THAT'S IT for top 10 teams between them this year...
  4. No need to stand over a guy or taunt, but what Stevie did is fine he wasn't standing in front of Cincy's D gloating, he showed his stuff to the TV cameras. I watch football for the competition, and TO BE ENTERTAINED. If you'd ever played ball competively, I think you can agree to some emotion on the field... no need to act like a jerk, but this was minor and wasn't "taunting" or "gloating".
  5. While your points are valid, I again think you're assuming that some of these traditional "large schools" are in fact better than they might actually be. All I can say is that Boise St and TCU have both handled their buisiness with either ranked or unranked opponents, and they have beaten them as soundly as they should. I can't tell you what would happen if Boise played Oregon or Auburn, but... THAT'S MY POINT!!! I WANT TO FIND OUT!!!
  6. True, but Oregon has only played 2 ranked teams all year themselves... #9 Stanford and #24 USC... And while we're at it Auburn has only played 3 ranked teams.... ALL at home no less.
  7. Again... I understand all of this, BUT the title game should be played against the top two TEAMS, not the teams from the top 2 conferences. Now, I know that in most cases the top teams come from those conferences, BUT I don't know if that's always going to be the case. I think we all THINK that's the case, but we can't say that for certain. What I do know is that I believe a playoof system is the ONLY way to end all of this. If Auburn is truly better than Boise St, then prove it head to head. Same for anyone against TCU. I just want to see teams get the chance... what can I say I'm a Bills fan, I always root for the underdog! On a $$$ note... I see a playoff as being GOOD for everyone... more games, more revenue, more satisfaction that the right team wins... what's the major downside?
  8. I know of the realignment from last year... so, does the Pac 10 become the Pac 14 soon? Not to be sarcastic on that, and I think there's more to it than just football teams. I believe this has to make sense for the entire Athletic Dept. Boise's football program has just outgrown all of its other sports. Either way... should it matter? If you're good and have proven it on the field against tough opponents, you should have every right to play for a title. So, back to the playoff system we go!
  9. More food for thought... how does Boise St start the season ranked #3... beat up on all comers... get as high as #2, but somehow "fall" behind a TCU team that they beat head to head in last years Fiesta Bowl??? I mean "C'mon man!"
  10. I dont disagree with you but not every school can get into a major conference. How does Boise St get into the SEC??? First they aren't even close regionally, which makes travel tough and expensive. The Pac 10 is an option for them though... but when do you think that invite will come?
  11. So very true... first time in a long time that I'm looking forward to watching this team play (well, not so much when we're on D, lol). I agree completely!
  12. I'm really liking what I see from this team, but I'm a realist to know what kind of competition we've faced the past few weeks. That being said, I also realize winning a game in the NFL is still winning a game. Cincy and Detroit might not have great records, but they're still more than capable of making some noise on any given Sunday. Playing Pitt will be an entire different ballgame, and although I think we can play them tough, I don't see us coming away with a W. Mostly because we still don't know how to stop the run and Pitt will NOT abandon their running game especially playing against the Bills in Buffalo in late November. The O needs to keep us in this game, and the D and ST's each need to make a BIG play or two. Without any of this, I can see a double digit loss here. Realistically, that's what we are right now... that's the team we are. This is why I'm PREACHING the drafting of multiple defensive players as well as some help through FA. The team is OK on the offensive side of the ball, but the D is in need of some help. No moral victories, but to me keeping the game competitive will be a big boost to this team and its fans. You wont see me ever rooting for a loss, but if we play tough football and then lose, I'll be ok because it will help get the draft position that we have EARNED, and that we need to get better. Here's to the master plan of getting this team healthier...
  13. I never cared one way or the other about Ohio State, but I'm beginning to despise them. They hardly ever show up to a big game and now they're calling out a Boise St team that HAS shown up in every big game they've played the past few years!! Ohio St has been living off of past glory for years now. They need to show they can play with the "big boys" as much as anyone. The thing is... until you have a college football season that allows ALL teams to play against each other, you'll never be able to see how these smaller schools fare against their big school powers. I know that some of these smaller schools can compete, and in many cases, BEAT some of the "big" schools. So we're left wondering because the "big" schools wont even let the small schools get the shot. That to me is plain p**sy like!! This too... All conferences need to either HAVE a championship game, or eliminate the conference championship game from counting for or against a teams record. There are too many good teams that get penalized for this. Unfortunately for us true fans of the game, $$$ dictates who the "champions" are... this is the case in almost every sport, but at least in the pro games there are playoffs and anyone can spend the $$ if they choose to do so.. just because Pittsburgh doesn't spend $$ to make the Pirates competitive doesn't mean they aren't allowed to. It's their choice. In college ball... without a playoff, and with a SHAM of a BCS system, we're screwed...
  14. The NFL is ridiculous... how pathetic it is to fine players for being fun and emotional wen their actions don't harm anyone/anything. I myself love all the antics the players come up with, it makes them more personable to me.
  15. I hope T.O and Ocho both have double digit catches against the Jest, and I hope they knock pretty boy Sanchez on his ass too. The NJ Jest are solid, but they're not as good as they think they are. Saying all that, they should handle Cincy pretty easily, but DAMN it would be nice to see them humbled on a national stage! And yes, I spelled Jets as "Jest" on purpose
  16. We need D, D, D, D, D, D, D and then D, D, D, D and more D!!!!
  17. We played the Bengals... not much of a threat up the middle. This weeks game will be VASTLY different!
  18. I've looked at some 2011 Mock Draft's just for s**ts and giggles too, but there's too much change that will happen between now and the Draft... a lot of season left to play, Free Agency, the combine, THEN finally the Draft.. I enjoy the speculation and discussion though...
  19. Not sure of the thoughts on Young as a QB here, but a lot of people were bashing Vick too. Look who's laughing now?
  20. I was thinking the same thing... I think he sped through his points in his head without fully describing his thoughts. Of course we need to get through the season... then we'll see where we stand on most of our positional needs. I still fully believe the O has what it takes to score 24 pts a game, but the D still can't stop ANYTHING! That being said, we need to focus hard on D this draft. Even if we "Luck" out and take Andrew in Rd 1, we need to hit DE/DT and LB like crazy!
  21. Dan Patrick referred to the Bills as "My Buffalo Bills"... when did this happen?? We all knew of Berman's love of the Bills, but when did Dan Patrick ever have a thing for "our" Bills??
  22. Of course Steve is a Bills fan, and he can be as irritated as any of us watching this team. Why should any of us be satisfied with a 2-8 record. Yes, we're improving, but lets not kid ourselves here, we have a ways to go.
  23. Just you; and BTW...I loved Johnsons emphatic calls!
  24. Yes Yes Yes and Yes! If anyone reading this doesn't understand what I highlighted above, they need to have their football fan card revoked!
  25. There is a POSSIBILTY that this team goes 4-2 the rest of the way, but that's about it. Minn and Mia are both good possibilitites, Clev and NYJ (resting players) are the other 2 possibles. Other than that... nope. I'm happy with this team continuing to learn to win and build confidence... keep 'em close and exciting and I'm all gravy.
