  1. I concur. But I sure didn't want to hear he was a turnstile to date either. Just checking up...
  2. I expected nothing less from this board, lol... Thanks for the responses!! Not expecting an "enormous" change, but at least a change from previous years versions...
  3. All, Been pretty busy with things lately, and I haven't been up to speed with camp. I was curious if anyone has any info on Dareus? It seems pretty quiet regarding any info on our new "stud" DL. Any info would be great...
  4. Looks like an agreement with Atlanta..... damn....
  5. This is understood by most... but what shouold we do... NOT sign anyone until we get a RT or LB...?
  6. What's not to like...? He'll eat up a QB spot and provide the versatility of a WR/KR and as a QB that can play in a Wildcat formation, or out of a pro set with the ability to move the ball with his legs... What's not to like...? So now as a D you have to watch for Freddy, CJ, Roscoe, Lee, Smith and Stevie J... now get me a sweet TE and a RT!
  7. You don't seriously believe that Nix and Co would do that do you...? It seems to me that many people here have evaluated MUCH better than the front office have... of course, we have the liberty of making our own decisions without the "Ralph" influence...
  8. Spending the appropriate amount of $$ on a position (or two) of need hardly warrants that kind of response. I'd take the consensus of front office moves that were suggested by this board over the nonsense we've seen from the Bills front office over the course of the past decade...
  9. Take a look at this... subjective, but still... 1. Doug Free, OT, Cowboys. Age: 27 Re-signed with Cowboys (4 years, $32 million; $17 million guaranteed) Doug Free played exceptionally well in his first year as Dallas' left tackle. He'll command a huge contract this offseason. 2. Willie Colon, OT, Steelers. Age: 28 Willie Colon missed the entire 2010 season with a torn Achilles, but his recovery apparently has gone pretty well. Colon is an outstanding, Pro Bowl-caliber right tackle, so Ben Roethlisberger would love to have him back. 3. Marshal Yanda, OT/G, Ravens. Age: 26 Re-signed with Ravens (5 years, $32 million) Marshal Yanda had a very good season, surrendering only four sacks. He's capable of playing both right tackle and guard effectively, so that versatility should help him this offseason. 4. Jammal Brown, OT, Redskins. Age: 30 After a very sluggish start, Jammal Brown played well down the stretch once he got over his hip surgery. 5. Tyson Clabo, OT, Falcons. Age: 29 Tyson Clabo is a pretty decent right tackle, but a Pro Bowl appearance may inflate his market value.
  10. Free is a better OT, $7.5M is about right for Clabo.
  11. We have more pressing needs... not sure if he's a one year wonder or not.
  12. Spread the field... they can't cover EVERYONE... Realistically, this game is a LOT about talent, but it's also about evaluating and prepping for the other team (we struggle there too, I know), but it's not impossible to find a teams tendancies, strengths and weaknesses and use them to your advantage.
  13. Interesting read from WalterFootball on the Poz signing... Jaguars sign LB Paul Posluszny (6 years, $42 million): C- Grade "As a Penn state fan and alumnus, I love Paul Posluszny, but $42 million over six years is just way too much. Posluszny is a good player, but he's not great. A team like Jacksonville, however, has to overpay a bit to land free agents, so I'm not going to give them a D or an F, or anything. Still though, I'm a bit confused. The Jaguars drafted for the future when they selected Blaine Gabbert with the 10th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. So why are they spending so much money now if they're in rebuilding mode? Seems a bit wishy-washy to me". Source: My link
  14. Fitzmagic needs to get into Clabo's ear and persuade him to shuffle up to Buffalo...
  15. Wil Wolford was "close" to a championship here in B-lo... he took the $$$$$$$ and left... It all depends on what motivates these players...
  16. Lol... true, so very true...
  17. Awesome... lol...! I agree with you on the lack of draft success, but I'll take a RT THIS year (Clabo please). We should still have enough cap space for a good FA TE, an upgrade at ILB and still be able to sign our own players (some) with some front loaded contracts.
  18. More posturing by 1BD...
  19. Correct. Poz was constantly tackling RB's as he was going backwards... gimme a LB that will be going forward when he makes a tackle and really sticking someone!
  20. Jasper's so big, he'll get two contracts....
  21. He's not new... that lazy a$$ has already been here a year and done NOTHING! Same with that waste of space Easley...
  22. Jax just screwed themselves.. Poz was decent, but hardly a LB worthy of that kind of scratch. Hell I could flow to the ball and shed blockers as well as he could (which isn't saying much, but I'm 5' 11" 190). Let's not get too wrapped up in this until the FO shows that they don't have/find a viable replacement (and hopefully an upgrade).
  23. Lol... I wanted to keep Poz, but if ANY of you think he's worth $7 Mil a year you're CrAZy!!!
  24. These were damned funny... keep 'em coming!
