  1. Tonight will be interesting that's for sure!
  2. Ha ha ha ha ha!!! Funny, yet true!
  3. And the same will hold true to whomever we draft. That player will say "I'm happy to be a Buffalo Bill, it's where I wanted to be". Now... how much of that is true?
  4. At least one site mentions 5 Bills games as the worst for the 2013 season. I don't blame them on 3 of the games: Bills @ Jets, Chiefs @ Bills, and Bills @ Jags (funny they don't mention the 2nd meeting Jets @ Bills???) The others I think could be entertaining: Bills @ Browns, and Bills @ Pats. The Bills are mentioned in 5 of the 10 snorefests, while the Jags are mentioned just 4 times. I know mainstream media gives us **** all the time (not that I blame them completely), but I feel they're wrong about this team this year. I know we have a long way to go, but I feel the O will be worth watching and the D should be completely "unvanilla" and should also be fun to watch. Never know what the record will turn out to be, but at least watching this team should be much more palatable than in recent years. 5. Question is.... is there a franchis QB in this draft?
  6. If you think Stevie's Tweet was in poor taste, then what do you think of The Family Guy's creator (and native New Englander) Seth MacFarlanes Family Guy episode that depicted mass deaths at the Boston Marathon? While it's certainly in "poor taste" to view now, it was meant to be humorus at the time and in no way should be viewed as a "cause" to the recent tragedy in Boston. http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=802916
  7. First off, my condolences to the victims of the bombing yesterday. It was the calculated result of a twisted mind, and anyone that feels Stevie Johnson had ANYTHING to do with this is and idiot to the highest extreme. If Stevie would have tweeted something about bombing/nuking Boston AFTER the attacks it would have been classless and a complete disgrace to himself and the Bills' organization. But no... he made a non-serious/non-threatening joke based upon someone elses comment and people overinflate it take it WAY out of context. I was wondering what fool would chirp in on this first and/or with the most vigor. Now we know. I suppose we should be all pissed at James Orchard who authored the "Three Little Pigs" for his horrific description of "huffing and puffing and blowing your house in", which to many of you CLEARY represents/forecasts the Twin Tower collapse. Jiminy freaking Christmas people!!!
  8. It all comes down to value and need in a trade with Minny. Is there little value at the the top of the first round? Is there value at the bottom of the first round? What areas of need do you (we) need to fill? We have need at many positions: LB/WR/QB/G/TE/DB, thats 6 picks and I'm not sure past rd 3 or 4 if you can fill all of those positions with quality (well with the Bills current roster we prob could). If the "IMPACT" player (future multiple Pro-Bowl caliber) just isn't there at #8, but good value (solid starters w/potential for Pro Bowls) is with 2 picks at #23 and #25. It makes a lot of sense to pull the trigger on the trade if it's available, plus we'll fill an additional position by picking up that extra draft pick.
  9. Speaking of bombing anything... If Obama says this, it's a real world issue... If the Secretary of Defense says this, it's a real world issue... If a Senior Military Official says this, it's a real world issue... If Stevie Johnson says anything about bombing anything (esp in a joking manner)... its a COMPLETE and TOTAL NON-ISSUE! Go read every Twiiter account out there and criticize EVERYTHING that is said by EVERYONE before you throw SJ under the bus. Do you know how many people call for Brady's or Belicheats head on a stake in the parking lot before a game against the Pats? Damn people, you're some sensitive (as Thurman would say it) Mofo's!
  10. I assume he was dealing with a heavy bout of depression... even the most physically gifted, mentally hardened people can get seriously affected by depression to the point of complete and utter apathy. In some cases (combat zone) there's little time to completely deal with it because of the life and death situations, but a 23 yo kid that has already personally dealt with so much loss of life... and then for him to be pretty much alone in Buffalo while the rest of his family was back home dealing with it TOGETHER had to make it extremely difficult. Even when he was able to shake off the depression, it would be in spurts. Trust me.. I KNOW.
  11. ^^^This, plus I would look to trade # 8 for Minnesota's 2 first rd picks (#23, #25). You can prob get a QB like EJ Manuel or Barkley at this point as well as a WR like Patterson (could fall here) or Justin Hunter or Keenan Allen... could go LB as well Ogletree or Minter...?
  12. In your scenario you could trade your # 1 this year for a low #1 next year, tank the season and get 2 of the top 10 next year.
  13. I'd be ok with Smith or Wilson in the first.
  14. Funny thing is... as a Yankee fan I started rooting for them when I was 5 ('74) and even they were ****ty for a few years during that time. Then they won a few years and went back to "pretty good, but not good enough" during my teen years (Donny baseball is still my favorite Yankee). But, yes, you're correct that I can at least look at a few WS Championships from the Yanks to help keep my spirits up. Saying all of that... I celebrated when the Yanks won WS, but I think I'd come completely out of my skin and celebrate like a mad man for a month if/when the Bills win a SB...!!!
  15. Our #1 WR threat was a 7th rounder... just like every other position in football, it doesn't matter WHERE they're drafted, it matters who the player is and if he "has it" or not. We need to find more of those players because we only have a small handful of them. Does Patterson "have it"? Does Geno Smith "have it"? Chance Warmack? Hell boys, it's the scouting dept that's done us in for the past decade+. Most of you will say "no **** Sherlock", and those that don't need to get a clue.
  16. While the Giants defensive game plan in SB25 was good, it was their OFFENSIVE game plan of pounding the football and keeping out of Buffalo's hands that won them that game. The Bills scored 19 pts in 19 minutes (ok take away the safety), but still 17 offensive pts in 19 minutes isn't shabby.
  17. The Bills first EVER selection, in the first round of the 1960 AFL draft was QB Richie Lucas.
  18. ^^^ This multiplied by infinity cubed!
  19. I love the time and effort you put into this. All of your plans seem feasible, practical and would definitely enhance the game day atmosphere as well as provide a year long reason to visit the stadium. If I would suggest one thing it would be to include a Bills Express railway from downtown to the stadium. I can't say I know if any existing railways could be used or not, but I think that would alleviate a lot of congestion for fans that really don't go to tailgate, etc... McD
