  1. Police officers don't always have state wide jurisdiction, unless they are state troopers or with some other state agency. For example, a police officer cannot follow you out of county lines and still pull you over. The only way that something like what you are speaking of may occur is if there is some kind of chase, and the surrounding counties are given some kind of permission to enter the county, or if a cop in the one district asks for support from surrounding districts. I know about the car pull over thing because one of my tickets was thrown out of court when the judge found out that the officer pulled me over out of his jurisdiction.
  2. Well you actually use the bathroom. I haven't mastered the whole lifting up the lid thing. I figure it just goes on the floor anyway, so i go in the hall way. I went in to wash my hands though. No i did not make a pass at the individual. S/he is a friend of someone else and they are invited to watch the Bills game.
  3. You invite someone over or someone is invited over to watch the Bills game. You think to yourself, "Okay, this might work out" or "Maybe they will bring some added luck". The individual arrives at your house wearing some kitty sweater vest like he is Gregg Williams. Now they don't seem to be in the spirit, and you think to yourself, well maybe they just don't want to look like a complete fool until you do, that's fine. Now i am not sure about everyone else here, but during your viewing of the Bills game, does everybody have assigned seating? If you don't, you might want to fix that. But you come out of the bathroom to get everything out of your system so everything you have is focused on the game, and the @$$hole has stolen a chair in the ring of usual suspects. Now you go over and stare at the fe/male, and they don't get it, they remain seated. The game comes on, and you scurry to a near-by seat to watch the game. Everything seems to be going well up until a certain point when the quarterback throws a pick or the defense is scored on. You think to yourself, this kind of thing happens all the time. Maybe it is just me. But the dabocle continues and the Bills are quickly down by a score of 10-0 or 14-0. What do you do? Tell the douche to get his ass out of your chair? Find a clever way to get him out of your chair? Or ignore it? Every other time you have had that chair the Bills have done well. They didn't win them all, but they have stayed close. A wild card spot is on the line, last game of the season.
  4. Damn those are great prices. Local stores: X-tra Mart: $2.89 Getty: $2.87 Coastal: $2.91 Stewert's: $2.93 I would consider most of the prices i've seen from here so far would be heaven. I also heard something about how they are expecting prices to be down to $2.25 by Thanksgiving.
  5. Just trying to get a feel for what some of you around here think. Try to refrain from Beatles and main stream stuff from early rock 'n' roll.
  6. Note to self and all, don't make any dirogatory comments about police officers. It doesn't go over very well. Nice save with that "not that i don't agree with and the" or "take sides on the matter".
  7. The only Victim in any case with the Patriots is the other team. The Tuck Rule. Case Closed. In that case, the Raiders were the Victims since that call seemed like something straight out of a stereotypical shower scene in a prison movie.
  8. Bottomline is that hopefully Willis comes back and has a strong year in Buffalo. Larry Johnson, well, he is having all of his success now, and it is not necessarily guarunteed in the future. It all hinges on whether or not the Chiefs can continue to pump out the talent on the offensive line. But Willis McGahee was the better pick for the long term solution in my own opinion. His skills in college were on a parallel that superceeds any blue chip draft pick running back since O.J. Simpson. There is no way that you pass up a talent like McGahee. The only question that still remained was his injury, and we are living in a time where recovery from those injuries is a lot better than it was when Gale Sayers was hurt, or even Robert Edwards. If we can get McGahee a decent offensive line, a decent passing attack, and keep him away from the press just enough so that he is happy but not disappointed, i think Willis could potentially have quite a few years of success. It all hinges on this season though. If the Bills are a sub par team where Willis is not the feature or feels the love in Buffalo, he will book for a southern team (Carolina).
  9. I could see Matt Bowen being added to this list down the raod. The Bills don't do so well with Caucasian players in the secondary.
  10. I have the Bills going 7-9 or 8-8 didn't go through the schedule, but the number just seems right. The reason i say this is because there are far too many questions at this point in the season, and hopefully by the midway point we have the kinks worked out of the system. For example, i think the Bills are going to have trouble finding a respectable second receiver with the squad they have now. I am picking the dark horse, and hometown hero, to win that spot in Andre Davis. I expect all of this to be worked out by week six or so. The other thing that disturbs me about this team also has to do with the WR's. Since Evans is the number 1 receiver, his production will go down as a result of double coverage, due to the absence of Moulds. Evans has proven to be Losman's favorite target on game day when the team needs a TD, and i think the fact that options to Evans will be sealed for most of the game, Losman is going to struggle unless we have a second receiver or a tight end that must be covered by a safety (Praying on Kevin Everett). Lots of questions on defense as well. TKO? Who knows. The defensive end slot opposite Aaron Schobel may as well remain vacant, because i do not believe that the answer to that question is on the roster. The defensive tackle rotation is shaky as well. McCargo's out put this season leaves some negative feelings about this spot as well as the sub par play of Tim Anderson. Williams and Triplett are the best guys available for the system the Bills are trying to run (with the exception of Rocky Bernard). But I am still left questioning whether we are going to have a bunch of Jeff Wright's, or a defensive line unit that i can't imagine. It's saddens me once again to say that this team will probably rely too heavily on the special teams unit to keep them in games. By week 9 the team will be ready to roll, but it will be too late to make a respectable playoff run. 7-9 or 8-8
  11. Doesn't that piss you off. They just jump right on the badwagon, and they don't even know that they aren't welcome. Very seldom now-a-days do you see the media and those in the media sticking with their opinions that they stated early on. The way they jumped on the Patriots bandwagon after the Super Bowl win was truly disturbing. I remember early in that season they were saying they would be good, not great, but good. They still said that it would be a few years before they were serious contenders. Then Bledsoe got hurt, and they all said the were DOOMED. Then Tom Brady steps in and they all act like they predicted the coming of the anti christ. The media is willing to jump on anything where there is a story. There is little loyalty in that particular profession, and i guaruntee that midseason, most of them are off the Sabres bandwagon when they hit a slump.
  12. Miller not signing would concern pretty much any Sabres fan. He was the glue of that team last year; especially in the playoff run. Game after game, he came up with big play after big play and personally i think he was one of, if not the, main contributors to Buffalo's success last year. They need to sign him before a larger market team like New York swoops him up.
  13. I tried uploading a personal photo into my profile and was unable to do so. A banner came up across the screen that said "Upload failed. Contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem". I couldn't email the staff based on how they suggested i did it with the window that popped up when i clicked on a link to email the staff. Any help would be useful at this juncture.
  14. That would be the war against Kids, from the view point of the fresh prince.
  15. Bare with me people. Now i said some stupid things last night while i was in the middle of a battle with insomnia, and when i had a low tolerence for other peoples opinions and thoughts. Some of you may have been offended by what i said, actually i think most of you, and i would like an opportunity to clarify what i was saying and also try to help some of you understand where i was coming from. But first i must address this post which stuck out to me. I may be age nineteen, but i have the maturity level of a 26 year old male. Trust me, it has been tested by experts. I believe that i am more of an !@#$ than a douche bag. I am also a full time student with a 3.9 GPA during the day, and i have a full time job at a warehouse during the night. I work probably just as much as you do and have quite a few responsibilities that some never have to deal with, and i have probably been through more sh-- than you. So don't question my ability to comprehend, analyze, or dispute anything that happens to me or around me. It's not a good idea. By saying stupid sh-- like that you are merely sounding almost as ignorant as my last two posts in this thread. I had been awake for 63 straight hours, What is your excuse? I never said that extending condolences to his family was wrong. But when i was discussing security i was not only talking about the physical security of the state of individual. What i was addressing was the abstract idea of security, in a way, which i think you just played into my friend with the writing in bold. With the term security i was also discussing the security over life that we feel. We usually never think about death on a daily basis, and it usually takes something like this or 9/11 for us to realize the frailty of life and how easily it can be lost. Therefore everyone of our security has been challenged. I still have not gotten any sleep, so try to fill in the blanks or message me if you can't figure out what i am trying to say, or just respond to this post. I never said that those who know or are related to state troopers were in the wrong. Atleast i don't believe i did. I hope that you are taking my words out of context and that there is no bad blood here. I received your PM, and i respected it. That's why i was so interested to see what you posted. You're right, i will never be able to understand the loss of a trooper from the perspective of those who know them personally, just like some people will never know what it is like to mourn from the perspective of an individual who lives on an army base, and a soldier is lost. You do know it from the trooper perspective, and there is no reason why you shouldn't mourn. Once again you are right in the respect that no one needs special credentials to mourn. But some of the people are mistaking mourning for personal worry and the threat of "security" in the abstract sense. At least that is how i took it. Steve Irwin was an entertainer who was brought into our households on a weekly basis. Besides offering condolences to his family, is anyone truly mourning Irwin? How many people are claiming to be scarred because of Irwin's death? I saw in a thread on the subject that a member fondly remembered the times that they and their son sat and watched Irwin and his show. IMO i don't think that the member is mourning Irwin, but instead is reminacing and missing the lost times that s/he and his son spent watching Irwin's show. Maybe he is, but that is because Irwin allowed for a connection between s/he and their son. In which case the person did in a way know Irwin. I'm not sure if i said that very clearly, but if you think about it, i think you can touch on what i am thinking.
  16. Ungrateful !@#$? How so? And what seems to be the problem with my post. Just because i am one of the only people around here who is willing to call people on what i believe smells like bullsh--, this means that i should automatically be ridiculed and be cursed at? I think that people are only acting this way about the trooper because police are a symbol of security, and when that goes, or when that is threatened, i don't think people are really thinking about the trooper, instead i think that they are thinking squarely on behalf of themselves and their self image. The bottom line is that if someone's death really meant something to the people that are posting stuff like this, they would keep it private. P.S. This is not just directed at cable lady. I know i quoted her and that was just the first one that came to mind. I actually respect what cable lady has to say because of her seniority on the board, and her insights on football and personel. In that respect i misdirected the post, and i extend an apology for singling her out. No hard feelings.
  17. I'm not sure there were too many who were firm supporters of Bucky Phillips. That is like saying that someone was Pro Hurricane Katrina or something to that affect.
  18. Don't get me wrong, a tropper's death must be taken very seriously, and i feel sorry for his family and my friend used to live around the street from his house. But, I'm sorry, some of you guys make me absolutely sick with some of these posts. Most of you guys have no reason to be getting upset about this troopers death; and the only reason some of you are getting upset and saying things like "!@#$ you Bucky" is only because you feel as though your safety has been jeoprodized. So why don't all of you over fabricating individuals that are suddenly outraged by this troopers death, stop pretending like you feel sorrow for the trooper, and start realizing that it is in fact not the trooper you care about, but instead, you are worried about yourselves. No one is going to sit there and say "wow that person is a kitty for saying that they are scared". Stop acting outraged as though you even knew this guy existed before he was shot, and start acknowledging what your real problem is with bucky Phillips. Not to insult, but this is just the way i see it. Atleast it was not dirogitory like the bow and arrow comment. Let the rage against me continue, because i don't think many will agree.
  19. ' Johnson is a good FB. He is kind of a mix between Sam Gash and Larry Centers. He can block like a linemen and catch like a tight end that is on any other team besides the Bills in recent history.
  20. I so called that one.
  21. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  22. I like beast. It fits well. Or we could just start calling him diesel, cause i think diesel tastes just short of how bad milwaukees best tastes.
  23. It just seems odd that there is a guy with talent like Gates has that is released. There has to be something else involved.
  24. I said that there was no real basis for any argument. Just thinking out loud. But Henry did have a cocaine problem and that is why he was signed to that one year extension for $1 million. Just some similarities kind of from a hung over persons perspective. Don't shoot.
  25. Gregg Williams is not on the tape blowing anybody. He probably has a video of Ralph spending a lot of time with a goat or something to that affect.
