  1. If he's THAT good, then it's a moot point.. because he won't last until our pick.
  2. I keep seeing references to Marv having a history of not making trades in the draft. Exactly how much say do you supopse Ralph had in drafting the early 90's Bills teams? My guess? Very little. Polian is given the credit for those teams, not Marv. I have to think that if there is a player that Marv wants, Marv will do what he has to get that player. (Within reason) Also, I hate to burst your bubble about D-Brick, but if his run blocking is as mediocre as is being reported, I would have to think that Jauron is going to try to get Marv to pick someone else. He's a defensive guy, and if that pick isn't used on the D, I would think he's gonna want a punishing run blocker for his O-line. I'd really like them to figure out the OT situation, and get Peters back out at TE. He's a good enough athlete to catch a first down pass every now and again, and obviously run blocks well enough, that they tried him at RT most of the season. Use him the way the Redskins did their TE's back in the late 80's. Six offensive linemen plaowing a road for Willis.. I'm drooling at the thought.
  3. Just seen it reported on ESPN2..
  4. I could understand that.. being second guessed by the "defensive HC" all the time, might suck.
  5. Well, if those top 7 are gone, I like the idea of drafting Williams at #8.. We can give Nate the Francise tag this year, and this accomplishes two things: #1 We can assess Nates play for another season, and see if we really wanna spend the big money to keep him long term. #2 It will give Williams a year under his belt, incase Nate goes bye bye after the Franny year That being said.. I hope Ngata makes it to pick #8..
  6. I would imagine Modrak is there, being as he is the senior personnel man.. (aside from Marv) Not to mention, that I'm sure we have an army of scouts.. Hell, what else would they have to scout this week?
  7. If he can't converet to corner, think Henry Jones type SS who will shut down the TE. Safee pick in that you wil get 1st production if only as nickle back. Boy, wouldn't that be something.. not getting killed by the oppositions TE, game in and game out.. Although, I hope you're wrong about Ngata.. for whatever reason, I really have my heart setting on getting him.
  8. You gotta be kidding me.. if DJ wasn't good enough for the Lions, of all teams.. What the hell makes Marv and Ralph think he's good enough for the Bills? Good God. Quester74
  9. The problem with getting Chester Taylor, is I'm pretty sure he wants to go somewhere where he'll lave a legit shot at being a fulltime starter.. besides, who is to say the Ravens won't let Jamal walk and keep Taylor. I know *I* would consider it if I were Baltimore. It's a nice idea, though.. I really think Willis needs to be pushed by some real competition. Quester74
  10. If anything other your foot or hand touch the ground, you're down. Quester74
  11. Because Ralph is a cheap SOB.. Mularkey was the highest paid HC in team history, at just over $1M a season.. Sherman made $3.2M last season. Jauron would command signifacantly less. Maybe they like him for the D-Coord? Just a thought. Quester74
  12. Kelso wins points in my book for not mentioning Floug Dutie as "escaped talent".. By the way, I'd add Keion Carpenter to that list. He's played very well for Atlanta. Quester74
  13. Well, considering the whole New England 'dynasty' was started by one of the worst calls/rules ever (Tuck Rule).. I have a hard time feeling sorry for them. By the way Rodney.. I know Denver didn't exactly play "lights out".. but if you cough the ball up 5 times in one game, you don't deserve to win, much less whine about it.
  14. Yeah, Pitt is still alive.. but so is Denver, and the worst kept secret in the NFL is that Kubiak is going to be the next HC in Houston. As far as the previous poster pointing out that some Head Coaches are best suited as lifelong coordinators.. I couldn't agree more. I've always said the same thing about guys like: Ray Rhodes, Wade Phillips, Gregg Williams and Norv Turner. Quester74
  15. ...with all the so called 'Whiz Kids' landing head coaching jobs (Mangini, Peyton) from Coordinator positions.. how is it no one seems to be talking about Dick Lebeau?? Talk about a great fit for the Bills. The guy had Head Coahing experience, is defensive minded AND has ties to Buffalo. (Although only for a year or two.. forget exactly when he left) I'd take him over anyone the Bills have interviewed so far. Now since I'm new to the boards.. I'll just throw my two cents out here on a couple other topics. Head Coach: My preference.. LeBeau, Haslett, Sherman, April.. in that order. (of course, they haven't interviewed my 2 top choices.) Nate Clements: Offer him $3 Million a season for 4-5 years.. if he doesn't take it, let him walk. #8 Draft Pick: Oregon DT.. just a read a little about the guy.. we HAVE to get him. Our O'Line: Move Williams to guard, make him take a paycut, and make him beat out Preston/Anderson/Teague for a starting spot.. otherwise cut him loose. Moulds: Sorry Eric, you've been one hell of a Buffalo Bill for 10 years, but your pay no longer equals your production on the field. Chalk it up to J.P.'s inexperience all you want, but this kid is going to be in Buffalo alot longer than Kelly Holcomb. Cut his pay to $1 Million a season, and he can stay.. otherwise I'll be rooting for you next year in a Phili or San Diego uniform. Thanks for listening.. Quester74
