  1. I like the list, although I think alot of teams will be looking into Julian Peterson's services.. Chester Taylor probably gets resigned by Baltimore, as they have let Jamal Lewis become a FA.. and you forgot Joe J. is Seattle..
  2. Speaking of FA's.. anyone remember Eddie Robinson making Vinny Testeverde look like Mike Vick, on his way to the endzone? In a nutshell: Vinny runs left, Eddie's gonna beat him to the corner, Vinny fakes right, Eddie drops his jockstrap and falls to the ground.. Jets TD.
  3. Jeez, I remember saying something to that effect after Drew's last season with us, and before Losman's 1st year as the "co-starter".. Hell, all JP had to be was AS GOOD as Drew was (which sucked horribly) and we'd be at least 9-7 again. So much for that.
  4. I didn't /don't mind Teague as much as some around here seem to, he would have been a nice insurance policy in th event that we don't get a top shelf interior lineman in FA, or that Preston doesn't develop this season.. as far as Reed goes.. Meh, who cares? It's only Josh Reed. Was probably going to be our #4 at best, anyways.
  5. I'm all for it!!! To Hell with 5' something" WR's.. I want some big bastages in here who can go after the high ball, and block downfield on the running plays. Face it.. the only reasons Reed and Parrish were drafted by the last regime, was their (TD, but mostly MM) love for Slash-like players.. (Kordell, Randel-El and to a lesser extant, Ward.)
  6. If the Bills got Randy Moss, I'd root for some other team.. I can't stand the guy.. Ditto for Owens. As far as my WR.. I'll go for something a little more 'down to Earth'.. i.e. attainable: Joe Jurevius - Good hands, good clubhouse guy, nice route runner, TALL, and blocks downfield like a madman.
  7. My brother and I play htis game every now and again.. We call it "Sports Love Children".. Examples: Ty Cobb + Yao Ming = Ty Ming Booger McFarland + Mark Eaton = Booger Eaton Toi Cook + Leon Lett = Toi Lett and my personal favorite... Buck Williams + Eric King + Bronco Nagurski + Isiah Rider = Bucking Broncorider
  8. I agree, totally.. I think Eric needs to go regardless of whether he'd accept a paycut. Are we gonna get the same kind of threat in a FA WR? Probably not. But, Eric deserves the chance to compete on a contender. (Phili, K.C. or S.D.) Not to mention, J.P. deserves a WR that won't try to retard his growth as a QB.
  9. How do YOU score? Go to ESPN 2's Wonderlic Test I got 13 of 15, in 5 mins.
  10. I have yet to see anyone refer to Jason Peters as a great LT.. I'm not asking the Chiefs to turn Willie Roaf into a TE here..
  11. Am I the only one that thinks that putting him at an OL position is a huge waste of his talent/athleticism? Not to say that I wouldn't love to have an athletic OT, but I would love to see him made into the everydown TE.. use him much the same way the Redskins of the 80's used their TE (as a 6th Offensive Lineman.) Turn this into the power running team this team was supposed to be under Mularky.
  12. Petr Prucha of the Rangers has 25.. but, considering he'll be out the next 3-4 weeks with a knee injury (damned Flyers) that probably dashed any slim hopes he would have had. Good time to get injured though, with the 2 week layoff for the Olympics.
  13. Whatever mom makes.. heh. Not to mention my fair share of Bloody Mary's. (I hate beer.)
  14. Welcome to Canton, Reggie. The late DE was elected into the Hall of Fame today, 13 months after his death. Joining him are Troy Aikman, Harry Carson, John Madden, Warren Moon and Rayfield Wright. As reported on ESPN.com.
  15. Bills trade #8 pick to Cleveland for the #12 pick and a 3rd rounder. Cleveland selects: Jay Cutler - QB - Vanderbilt Bills then trade #12 pick to Eagles for #14 pick and a 4th rounder. Philadelphia selects: LenDale White - RB - USC Bills use #14 pick to take: Tamba Hali - DE - Penn St. Heh.. or maybe they'll just take Ngata like I'm hoping.. but, I wanted an original prediction.
  16. 5) Count me in the minority, but I don't think our "keepers" like London Fletcher and Schobel are as good as some suggest. Add to that, that Willis opened up real questions about himself this past year, and I don't know if we really have any true "anchors" on this team. We would have if TKO comes back 100%, but by all accounts, he'll have to have lost at least a little something. I whole-heartedly agree..
  17. I suppose you're right.. I'd be alot more worried about WR screens than I would TE's though.. I'd line-up a DE over the TE and blast him into the backfield every play. Granted.. it would take very athletic DE's.
  18. Ummm, here's the quick answer to your questions.. No. Anyone.. or damned near anyone, can be a 1,200 yard / 12 TD runningback with a decent O'line. Hell, look at Emmitt Smith.. he wasn't anything special as a RB.. not extrodinairally fast, not the strongest RB either.. but, when you're 5 yards downfield, before anyone lays a hand on you.. it's easy to make the Hall of Fame.
  19. C A C C D D C B B B.. Bonus: D I didn't look any up. Guessed on a few.
  20. I completely agree, but I just wanted to start a thread that didn't include the word "coordinator".. heh My list of team needs is as follows.. DT, OG, OT, Tall WR
  21. Everyone in the free world knows that the strength of a defense need to be, first and foremost, up the middle.. this means, DT, MLB, SS and FS.. Now, as far as what I have seen as to what is going to be available with the #8 pick, I think we go with Ngata. Which brings me to my point. I think we need an upgrade at MLB. I know, I know.. "London Fletcher was our best/most consistant member of the defense." London had in the neighborhood of 210 or so tackles this year.. but, how many of those were made 6-10 yards downfield. I can't remember the last time I seen London shoot a gap or beat a ball carrier to the hole and stick him for a 1 yard gain. All you hear about this guy is his 'non-stop motor'.. which I give him credit for.. he uses this to compensate for his lack of size. Which kills him from time to time, as he's a master of over-running the play.. and when that happens my grandmother could block him out of the play. Now, before you ask, no, I don't have a solution to the "problem", either through draft or FA. I just thought I'd give us so food for thought. Thanks for listening. All long as I'm here.. anyone think a 5-2 defense would be feasible at the NFL level? I'd treat it as a 4-3 with an extra DT and minus one LB.
