  1. Glad to see McD's blunt assesment after the game: “You’ve got to be smart,” McDermott said. “You can’t throw the ball over the middle of the defense like that. I thought that was a play that changed the momentum of the game. Before that, their offense really hadn’t done much, and I thought our defense did well. And then that really, to me, changed the momentum of the game. In particular, turning the ball over on our side of the field. So we’ve got to learn from that and play smarter football. That’s really what I’m looking for, is to play smart.” https://buffalonews.com/2019/09/22/buffalo-bills-josh-allen-needs-to-be-man-enough-to-learn-from-mistakes/
  2. It took a botched FG attempt by TB to get that W, but whatever...
  3. It's madening they throw those WR screens on 3rd down when they have such good wideouts ...
  4. The Bills wold be scary good with a guy like Bob Woods...
  5. Go down the field...
  6. Lol, the Jests... https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/ny-adam-gase-gregg-williams-leveon-bell-jamal-adams-luke-falk-patriots-20190922-hzrsbcztkjd6xnzzct65ypjefe-story.html
  7. Great ball placement on his throws but his arm doesn't look that stong. Sort of floats the ball a bit... Of course, that's immediately after watching Josh throw...
  8. Beasley at the slot (Y) position is getting a lot of targets (10 today!) and doing his part. But Zay at the traditional #2 / Z position is just not giving Allen enough reason to throw it his way more that 3 times a game...
  9. They need more from the #2 (literally and figuratively) WR spot. 1-2 catches a game don't cut it in a passing league where the ball is thown 30+ times...
  10. I think they get conservative in pass rush inside the 20, choosing to rush four and drop the LBs into coverage. I'd like to see them be a bit more aggressive in blitzing, but's that's a double-edged sword. And the percetages seem to favor McD/Frasier's scheme...
  11. It's a funny game. Take away the two INTs and I thought Tre was having a very medicore day. He got beat in coverage several times and took some poor angles in run support. In the end, though...Just Win Baby! But Tre has to step up some more and get his lock down status back. The Pats will be a real test...
  12. The absense of a credible third WR option allows teams to sit on Brown and Beasley. I'm afraid we'll have to wait another year for that, however...
  13. Same here. Daboll needs to give him some hot reads for all the blitzing he's seeing. Of course, it would be nice if Zay (1 catch a game) Jones knew how to read them as well...
  14. Damn grade inflation...
  15. Josh first half: B Josh third quarter: D Josh fouth quarter: A- Weighted GPA of 2.65 or C+. Yeah, that seems about right...
  16. Still hate Collinsworth...
  17. When watching the play live on TV, my wife and I both said when he released the ball, "...good he's throwing it away out of bounds. He learned from that intentional grounding call." Then the play continued and our jaws droped when we realized the ball was still in the field of play...
  18. I didn't turn on our ceiling fan when the wife asked me to, because she was hot. I didn't want to change ANYTHING that would disrupt the gameday karma, since we started watching the game with it off...
  19. If the Bengals can do that, think of what Belichick will dream up. Every game is different, but sometimes they're not...
  20. A Great pancake block by Lee Smith didn't hurt either...
  21. Opposing defenses now have the book on our offense. The O-line does a poor job against blitzes and Josh holds the ball a long time. Daboll has to get more out of the quick rythm passing game, but since we only have two legit WRs (Brown and Beasley), teams are taking that away...
