Where does the 10th win come from?
Lurker replied to letsgoteam's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sadly, IMO, it doesn't. I used to think Pittsburgh, but not anymore. They're 4-0 in the last month and their next six games come aganst teams with a combined 17-37-1 record. They look very tough on defense right now, which is not good news for a struggling Bills offense... -
Do you wonder about Beane's drafting?
Lurker replied to billsfan714's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not just Beane making those pick, though. McD is also heavily involved in making the "type of player I want" decisions. I would like to see Sean become more comfortable going off his "personality profile" board and spice the team up with a few flaming a-hole types who can bring more anger/edge to the Bills. Too many times lately they seem soft, yet nice, respectful and humble. I think on a 46-guy active roster, there's room for the agitator/bully kind of player (or 2-3) who can set a tone and impose their will on the opponent.... -
100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.
Lurker replied to Allen2Moulds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to see them just forget about the deep ball. I know you have to "keep the D honest." But really, in today's NFL, who really relys on the deep ball anymore? That's old school football. Most high powered offenses today rely on short and intermediate throws and RUN AFTER THE CATCH. That's the thing Buffalo can't seem to do with any frequency. Singletary's 49-yard play against the Skins is the prototypical long ball in today's NFL: https://www.buffalobills.com/video/highlight-devin-singletary-s-49-yard-catch-and-run -
I know the sky is falling...BUT (uplifting post)
Lurker replied to Ghs24mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Respectfully disagree. Edmunds sack aside, he was consistently out of position / over-running plays. Opposing offenses are taking advantage of his two weaknesses: (1) over-pursuit and (2) relatively low anchor strength/drag down-reach around tackling style. He's slow in his reads on two many plays, especially at the beginning of games. To his credit, he seems to "get going" as the game progresses. As the youngest MLB in the NFL, there is hope he can continue to improve. But right now, he's a liability in the run game IMO... -
Football is a violent game. Intimidation and exerting your will on an opponent is an important part of that game. I'd like to see some anger from this team...

Or anybody on defense that can lay the lumber. They're all drag down defenders...

Maybe if you used the 'ignore user' feature, some trolls might however... -
The Bills beat the Titans, so no problem when we play the Chiefs in the wildcard game. Right...

This loss could be the start of the collapse (schedule talk)
Lurker replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who? Dallas, Baltimore, the Pats? No way. Pittsburg is the only game of that type remaining and right now the Steelers look like a tough out... -

Whatever they learn and fix today...they'll F-up something else next week. -

The Bills are too small and soft to win against a physical team on the road. Especially one with a great OL and running game on Turkey day in Big D... -

Only if they can beat Pittsburgh on the road. And the Steelers are a better team/tougher place to play than the Browns... -

No collapse, but it probably takes 10 wins off the table. Then again, even if they get a wild card slot, does anyone think they'd have a ghost of a chance of a road win? -

That's what's so damn frustrating about this team. They're so, so inconsistent. Fix one thing. Something else breaks. Fix that, something else goes. They can't string series after series together, let alone game after game... -

The offensive scheme always makes it harder on themselves than it has to. Simple 5-yard flares and slants? Nope. 5-yard hooks to the TE? Nope. Throws to the RBs? Nope. GD, they beat themselves over and over on fancy routes and half-field options. Does McD know anything other than defense and clapping??? -
