Rounds two and three are where playoff teams pull away from the also rans, IMO. Good drafting here is what moves organizations forward. I'd like to see Beane use some of his draft capital to move up or land extra picks in the second and third rounds, which wouldn't be as costly as moving up in round one--and could really plug a number of holes, rather than one big one. There were 4-5 guys in the Senior Bowl who'll go right around there who would add a LOT to the Bills in 2020 (and beyond). I agree, it will also be tough for guys drafted after the 4th to make the team. So I hope we see some wheeling and dealing of those day three picks...

Kyle Dugger would be a perfect fit in McD's scheme. With our safeties getting older, he could come into a petfect mentoring situation like we've seen at so many other positions...

Bills need a 4th quarter song

None of the OTs distinguished themselves in pass pro today. It's just too tough to evaluate them in a game setting with only a week of practice...
-
Serendipty! And they said during the game that Jefferson was an accomplished gunner on the UF punt team--so all the better...
-
I can see why a lot of scouts skip the game after the week of practices. The WRs were almost afterthoughts today and it was really not much of a day to evaluate them. I hope the coaching staff and scouts got a good read on guys they like during the week...
-
He probably elevated his draft standing into the late 2nd/early 3rd round this week. Not sure the Bills want to go RB that soon, but I'd be happy to have him...
-
He was excellent in the game. Sneaky smooth with great vision. Totally different running style from Singletary, so yes, he'd be a nice change up. I've read that he's a good receiver too.
-
I liked his vision and gliding running style. Always seemed to make good decisions. He'd be a nice complementary back to Motor, but probably raised his draft stock too much for the Bills to snag him now...

Pro Bowl Player Poll--Worst City to Travel To

Life long WNY-er (63 years). Glad you're happy elsewhere... -
Damian Lewis, the OG from LSU, and Kyle Dugger (S from small school Lenior-Rhyne) hve had nice games...
-
Frustrating game so far for evaluating the WRs. Bad O-line play with meh QB play is keeping the WRs on hold. Guys who've impressed me so far are Bradlee Anae (edge, Utah) and Joshua Kelly (RB, UCLA)...
-
Huh? We watching the same guy? I see a guy with good movement and hand skills who's abusing the OTs with his speed/moves...
-
Bradlee Anae is killing it as an edge rusher. Looks like a young Jerry Hughes...

Pro Bowl Player Poll--Worst City to Travel To

So, where do you live (and how old are you)? A whole lot of stuff to unpack in that viewpoint... -
I won't include the write up, but for those with an Athletic subscrition this is a good read. Virtually all of these guys are at positions of need for the Bills and I'd bet 1-2 might be drafted by Beane, given how much he likes the Senior Bowl. Hope we can get Van Jefferson, my favorite mid-round WR right now... (sorry for the all bold, I can't get it to format right for some reason) https://theathletic.com/1560854/2020/01/25/senior-bowl-stock-report-14-prospects-who-made-money-in-mobile/ Senior Bowl Stock Report: 14 prospects who made money in Mobile Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton (6-foot-5, 251 pounds) Joshua Uche, Edge, Michigan (6-1, 241) Jason Strowbridge, DL, North Carolina (6-4, 267) https://247sports.com/college/north-carolina/Article/UNCs-Jason-Strowbridge-Impressing-at-Senior-Bowl-142591868/ (He sounds like a process guy who could help replace Alexander) Sitting at No. 77 overall on my draft board entering the week, Strowbridge was already highly thought of before the Senior Bowl. But his blend of athleticism and power made him a top performer from start to finish this week. Whether he lined up on the edge or on the interior, blockers had a tough time containing Strowbridge, who displayed the agility to work around blockers and the upper-body power to go through them. But more impressively, his handwork was violent and purposeful, using his upper and lower halves in unison to defeat blocks. And during team drills, when he couldn’t get home, he used his bit mitts to find the passing lane and knock down throws. While some teams might be hung up on fit questions, other teams will see the value he offers as an effective lineman inside and outside. Kyle Dugger, LB/DS, Lenoir-Rhyne (6-1, 217) Bradlee Anae, EDGE, Utah (6-3, 257) Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor (6-3, 206) Van Jefferson, WR, Florida (6-2, 197) As the son of a former NFL receiver and current NFL receivers coach, Jefferson learned the art of route running at a young age, sharpening those skills throughout high school and college. And it was that refinement that created a buzz during practices, relying on pace, tempo and timing mid-pattern to tie defensive backs in knots. Scouts knew he held a master’s degree in route running coming in, but seeing his effectiveness versus talented corners during practice amplified his strengths. It felt like Jefferson was going to be squeezed out of the first two days of the draft because of the vast depth at receiver in this class. But talking to scouts at the end of the week, the words “third round” were mentioned, as opposed to a month ago when it was “fourth or fifth” round. Harrison Bryant, TE, Florida Atlantic (6-5, 242) Troy Pride, CB, Notre Dame (5-11, 193) K.J. Hill, WR, Ohio State (6-0, 192) Ben Bartch, OT, St. John’s (Minn.) (6-6, 308) Damien Lewis, OG, LSU (6-2, 329) Larrell Murchison, DT, NC State (6-2, 294) Hakeem Adeniji, OT/G, Kansas (6-4, 302) Jalen Elliott, DS, Notre Dame (6-1, 205)

Pro Bowl Player Poll--Worst City to Travel To
Lurker replied to Lurker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hockey players are way, way different than NFL guys. Most of them grew up in East Corncob type towns and to them, Buffalo is the big city. And just like being in Canada, for those born there. That's why so many ex-NHL-ers still live around here... -

Per The Athletic: https://theathletic.com/1554733/2020/01/24/pro-bowl-confidential-players-on-marijuana-testing-coaches-theyd-like-to-play-for-worst-city-to-travel-to-more/ Worst NFL city to travel to: That naturally sets up the opposite. And if they had hesitation even anonymously identifying individual players as overrated, there was no such kindness here. One player offered up four cities before being politely asked to choose the worst one. BUFFALO, yes, was the runaway winner, named by 10(!) players. “No charm, and all the negatives of Green Bay,” one player said. “Anywhere on the East Coast” was another response, declining to pick a single city. Said another who rarely leaves the hotel on the road: “I judge a city by the locker room, and Oakland has the worst.” Also receiving votes: Cincinnati (4) Green Bay (4) Oakland (4) Cleveland (3)

Be sure to ask about how many weeks of vacation you get and what their "summer hours" policy is... But seriously, do a little research on the company so you can ask intelligent questions that show why you want to work there. I can't believe how many folks I interview don't do that, walking in cold and unprepared. It doesn't have to be extensive, but showing the interviewer that you've done some homework can be very helpful...
