The Bills sell plenty of tickets, even if they're lower priced than the NFL average. Visiting teams get paid. Teams like Tampa and Cincinnati OTOH should be more of a concern for the owners than Buffalo... The fact is that McD didn't give him a chance, as he wasn't a good fit in his scheme. Nothing I read in his quote says he was trying to justify his draft position. All he wanted to do was get on the field and compete for a spot--which he did't get to do in Buffalo. What happened after he got to KC--whether as a part-time player or not (although taking 34% of the snaps for a LB with his speed issues is pretty good, actually)--is irrelevant, except for you reading something into it...

Bills potential interest in Pats UFA LG Joe Thuney?
Lurker replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Meh. Agents work with most teams. I don't see how the Kroft relationship gives the Bills a "3-D chess" advantage. As someone else suggested, it sounds like the agent ( https://prioritysports.biz/football/ ) whispering in Forbes ear to drum up rumors. Or make New England come to the table to keep him away from division rivals... -
Bills potential interest in Pats UFA LG Joe Thuney?
Lurker replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doesn't seem like much of any leverage to me. Why would a guy looking for a $75 million contract give a fig about Kroft or Lee Smith?? -
You're reading way too much into what is a truthful, non-controversial statement of fact: "But I wish they would have given me a chance to show that I really can play and I really could have helped their defense if they gave me time. But they didn't give me the time and they traded me here. I know, my first five weeks here, they gave me the time to rehab and get back even stronger on my knee. Actually, I've been trying to make due on everything that (Chiefs GM) Brett Veach and Coach (Andy) Reid have done for me and I'm very thankful for those two to come get me out of Buffalo and I'm here playing for the Chiefs."

Accounting, finance, HR, purchasing positions, for sure. Maybe another round of buyouts for the older (ie, expensive) newsroom types...

Astro's "Pick-Six" Discussing the upcoming 2020 Bills Draft
Lurker replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm on board with that. He's my favorite middle-round WR. He'd be able to contribute from day one with his precise route running skills, something that even Beasley and Brown are only good (not great) at, IMO. He's an accomplished gunner on ST as well... -
PFF's Big Board (I know I know, but hear me out)
Lurker replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe Beane won't have to trade up. Epenesa only fits a 4-3 scheme, limiting his desirability for many teams. Bucky Brooks mocked him to the Bills in his draft yesterday: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001099246/article/bucky-brooks-2020-nfl-mock-draft-10-jordan-love-to-saints -
More than likely, he doesn't get along with himself either...

Thanks for the good laugh. A bunch of 20-somethings watching All-22 video are professionals? That's essentially what PFF is. It's not rocket surgery or quantum physics. smh...

+1 I remember a lot of throws that were in his feet. May be due to how he was running his patterns, as much as anything...

Yeah, it's a stinker. Pro Football Reference shows Singletary catching 70.7% of his 41 targets. Meanwhile, Knox caught only 56.0% of his 50 targets . Of the 37 TEs that had at least 40 targets last year, Knox ranked 36th (ahead of only T.J. Hokenson at 54.2%). The average for the 37 was 68.8%! The median was 69.1%. Knox may turn into Tarzan some day but the Bills need to address TE in free agency, IMO. They can't afford the risk that he plays like Cheata next year. BTW, Austin Hooper ranked 6th (77.3%) and Hunter Henry 12th (72.4%)...

LeSean McCoy wants to retire an Eagle
Lurker replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was at least as good as Gore and Yeldon and who knew about Singletary at that point. He was certainly declining, but it wasn't a very impressive RB group at SJF. I don't think his release had anything to do with money. I think McBeane decided Gore would be a better mentor to Motor and Shady had to go since he'd want the ball--and there just weren't enough touches to go around. Simple as that...
