  1. Joshua Kelley ran 4.50 and 4.56 at 6.0'' 210 pounds. He's a butter smooth runner who's plenty fast enough and I think he'd be the perfect compliment to Motor...
  2. Well, we always knew it would be a bidding war. But like Olsen, I'd bet Hooper would jump at having Rogers as his QB vs. playing in Buffalo...
  3. I think they want more speed and explosiveness: https://buffalonews.com/2020/02/25/brandon-beane-buffalo-bills-wide-receivers-nfl-draft-combine-analysis-edge-rushers/ Beane acknowledged the need for more big plays. “John Brown probably gave us our most explosive plays, and Dawson had a couple explosive plays, and Devin had a few,” Beane said, referring to Dawson Knox and Devin Singletary. “We didn’t have enough explosive plays. The less explosive plays, the more 10-, 12-play drives you’ve got to have. What makes those hard is one penalty sets you back. All of a sudden you get a holding and you’re in second and 20 it becomes hard to get a first down. That’s where you saw the Chiefs have a Tyreek Hill, and he takes it to the house in one play. You’re always looking for explosive guys.”
  4. Yawn. The national narrative is getting stale. They keep slotting "big" possession-type WRs to the Bills--when Beane has repeated said the team needs a dynamic playmaker a'la Tyreek Hill who can score quickly / do big chunk plays.
  5. Help! I don't get the NFL Network. Is there any other source to get updates on what's going on?
  6. Billie Eilish in 1...2...3...
  7. Bupkis. The Bills mishandled his ankle injury and his play suffered as a result. Getting a concussion in Cincy didn't help either. If his physical checks out, Glenn would be a fine low-cost pickup, along the lines of Spain last year...
  8. Does that count as one interview or two...
  9. Technically, you're probably right. Although there's a wide, wide gulf in talent between the current roster and that 1990 team. Still, given the desert we've walked through since the glory years, it's nice to finally see an oasis in the distance (even if it might still be a mirage)...
  10. IDK, I've read there are questions about whether he can handle speed rushers, as well as how long his arms are. May be pre-draft FUD like Cordy Glenn (Hey, he's a guard!), but I wouldn't be surprised if he slides... https://theathletic.com/1628662/2020/02/24/iowa-football-tristan-wirfs-nfl-draft-tackle-prospect-combine/ "Among some analysts, playing right tackle in college comes across as a demerit in the evaluation process and a half-step from the automatic kick inside to guard. It often becomes the first topic mentioned during their assessments, like from ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., who said, “Wirfs is a right tackle. He played two games at left tackle. There’s mixed opinion on him.”
  11. My sleeper: https://theathletic.com/1635212/2020/02/26/nfl-scouting-combine-40-yard-dash-times-vertical-broad-jumps/ Tristan Wirfs, OL, Iowa Our No. 1 Freak last summer, the 6-5, 320-pound Wirfs set an Iowa record in the power clean by powering out four reps at 450 pounds. He is an absolute beast in the weight room, and it does carry over to the field. The former state champion wrestler also vertical jumped 35 inches last offseason, which would have been the second-highest jump by an O-lineman at the NFL Scouting Combine in the past seven years. He’s also gone 9-5 feet in the broad jump.
  12. In addition to a lot of what's been posted, I'm convinced the weather played a role as well. I was at the game and even though it was in the low 30-degree range, watching the Oiler sidelines, you could just see them slowly seize up. Not unlike the 51-3 playoff game against the Raiders...
  13. Ruggs played a ton with an amazingly talented WR group. Judey's projected to go even higher than him, maybe 8-10. And DeVonta Smith's going to be a top pick in the 2021 draft...
  14. IMO, it's time to pivot away, within reason, from hoarding draft capital (to get as many reinforcements as possible) and embrace taking a swing at getting a difference maker. I think many folks are still scarred by the Watkins trade up--which in retrospect was dumb/premature, because we didn't have the rest of the team ready for a WR like him. The current Bills roster is a much different animal. The core of the team is now in place. What's lacking is the 'explosive playmaker' that Beane talked about at the combine. IMO, adding that guy to the current mix would be worth giving up an extra second or third round pick (we would be swapping pick #22 for something higher, so 'trading our 1st' really isn't an issue)...
  15. Amazing to do that on a hardwood floor. But what the hell kind of promotion is that at a basketball game?...
  16. The truth will set you free...
  17. I think the slot you have to trade up to makes all the difference. Trading up into the top 10? Way too expensive (as we saw with Sammy). Trading up to 15-17? Very doable and worth it, as we saw in the Edmunds trade. If the difference-maker WR they covet is there at 15-17, I think they absolutely should -- and will -- trade up...
  18. Parsing Beane's interview, I strongly suspect they go up for Ruggs if he's still there at 15-17. He mentioned they want a Tyreek Hill-type explosive player--not a move the chains possession type guy. https://buffalonews.com/2020/02/25/brandon-beane-buffalo-bills-wide-receivers-nfl-draft-combine-analysis-edge-rushers/ Beane acknowledged the need for more big plays. You’re always looking for explosive guys.” The only problem is if Ruggs runs a 4.2 and raises his draft stock. Maybe the Bills should hire someone to "Nancy Kerrigan" him at the combine...
  19. Yep. Above average LT's cost a lot of money...
  20. Whoa! Where do yo think Ruggs would be picked? Top 10? Can't see it. More like 15-17. The Bills moved up to #16 two years ago to nab Edmonds and only had to give up #22 and and a second (#65), plus they got Baltimore's pick at #154 in return.
  21. I would be very happy with this pick. But since it's Kiper, no way in hell does it happen...
  22. Indeed... https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/02/24/greg-olsen-couldnt-pass-up-opportunity-to-play-with-russell-wilson/ “I just felt that Seattle’s been special,” Olsen said, via Alaina Getzenberg of the Charlotte Observer. “I just feel like their track record of consistency. We’ve seen it up close and personal here in Carolina at times. And obviously Russell Wilson. He’s an elite, special guy at the quarterback position, and [coach] Pete Carroll. It’s just a really elite situation, and they showed so much interest in me. It was just too good of an opportunity to pass up.”
  23. The home team got to sleep in their own beds the night before. And the word 'thrive' seems a bit inapropriate, IMO. Perhaps 'survive' would be better..
  24. LOL! Not very athletic looking. Shades of Pill...
  25. The Penguin message boards are hating the trade - so that must be a plus for the Sabres... The Jets were a dead tired team on the tailend of a back to back. I wouldn't read too much into that 9+ minute defensive gem...
