I haven't seen any mention of guaranteed money. Since he won't get a game check until September, if he flames out at SJF, the team is out just the opportunity cost of having him around. In the meantime, he can mentor the younger members of the team, just like Mike Tolbert...

Internally there’s some love for Tee Higgins

Boy, based on that third tab, Isaiah Hodgins has everything the Bills want as a mid-round pick--except he's slow (4.6 40). Still, he might be worth a shot with one of the extra 5th round picks as he apparently never drops a ball and is a great red zone target... https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/isaiah-hodgins/ https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/alshon-jeffery/ (comparable)

Maybe. But Jones was a much more physical WR coming out, who used his physicality to routinely beat press coverage (he also ran a 4.39 40, which ain't chickenfeed at 220 pounds). "Tough and highly competitive" were his signature descriptors. Higgins is nowhere near that physical. I worry about players who aren't the stick that swizzles their team in big games. A first round pick should be more than a passenger in crunch time of their team's biggest games. Some guys (like Jones) can transcend that at the pro level. Some guys can't, which is how I see Higgins. I'll gladly defer to Beane, but as a simple fan in the stands, that's my impression of Tee so far... 3 for 52 as a receiver in the 2020 national championship game, with only one catch in the second half. 3 for 81 as a receiver in the 2019 national championship game, with only one catch in the second half. Small sample, but interesting nevertheless... -
Justin Jefferson should be our WR target at 22

I have mixed feeling on Ruggs. He benefitted so much from the the other three first round WRs who 'Bama could throw on the field with him (Jeudy--2020, Devonta Smith--2021, and perhaps the best of the bunch, Jaylen Waddel--2021). He was not on the field as much as I would have thought a top-15 draft pick would warrant and his production was all over the place (good games against South Carolina, Southern Mississippi and Auburn but sort of meh against everyone else).... -

Yes he is. He's the best WR in college football. Better than Lamb and Jeudy, IMO... -

Well, in this year's "Iron Bowl" with Auburn--the best college game I saw all season--it was...Waddle (although Ruggs wasn't that far behind)... https://www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore?gameId=401110865 -

I agree with you on the Patriots. He seems like the kind of WR they've loved over the years. I would like Jefferson on the Bills, but I'm not sure about at #22. A lot more info and pro days has to bubble up yet before we can hone in on the best targets there... -

Possibility of trading up to #16 (Atlanta)
Lurker replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jags pick at #9 is in play, which is about where Lamb and Jeudy are projected to go... https://www.jacksonville.com/sports/20200304/jaguars-not-ruling-out-possibility-of-trading-up-or-back-in-next-monthrsquos-draft Asked last week at the NFL Scouting Combine if having two first-round picks gives him desired flexibility to consider trade possibilities, Caldwell said it does. “You know you have the one at 20 sitting there,″ Caldwell said, “if you want to move back from nine and pick up some picks later. Right now, we have [10] picks, and we’ll see what we have come draft day.″ -
