  1. Just goes to show, you don't need talent to be a pop star...
  2. Yes, my list is up to nearly 500...
  3. Par for the course at TSW. For the life of me, I can't fathom why people care about guys running around in their underware in May...
  4. Yeah, we're getting dangerously close to Trekker territory, where you have to learn Klingon to fully appreciate what the hell is happening...
  5. Glad to see Forbes is still relevant...
  6. Simple. He has jars of Dharma peanut butter hidden all over the island...not to mention the brewski's.
  7. If he does run, the only winners will be WEEI listeners...
  8. Or Walter Payton, Tony Dorsett, Barry Sanders...
  9. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/articl...un-for-Congress Looks like a publicity stunt...
  10. Maybe it would have worked better if they hadn't used Thomas Kinkade as a set designer...
  11. These "thougths" are meaningless until we know more about who 'thunk em. Was it Gailey whispering in Gazoo's ear, or just speculation on Clayton's part?
  12. Good post. If, in fact, the end game was to see what happens to the core characters, I would have liked to skip the cliff notes version of the mythology so the 'big unknown' could have remained more compelling, rather than simply being tacked on to answer a few questions...
  13. ...that you quote the Frost poem, yet advocate for the exact opposite of what it's point was---that following your own path/doing things the unconventional way is more rewarding than following the herd and, to paraphrase many TSW posters, "Hey, I've heard of him...we should have signed [insert name]..."
  14. Brandon never ran the football side of the operation.
  15. Not a pooper. More like how this guy must have felt...
  16. Sorry, I'm just fun'n ya It will still be a rush to see where this ends up, but more like the one after the 5th time on the rollercoaster, rather than the first (for me). Back to work...
  17. That's fine, but it could have been a lot more elegant if they'd allocated more time (more than 45 minutes, anyway) to play out their MacGuffin...
  18. They've had 3 years to develop a script, so yeah, I would have liked a denouncement more in keeping with the quality of the show's best work. I'll watch for the same reason I suspect a lot of people remain with the show--it's now about the characters/cast more than the plot. The brilliance of the original casting will be the lasting legacy of Lost, long after the plot fades from memory, IMO.
  19. Sorry, that doesn't work for me. The 'story' has been about solving the mystery of the island. Why it was important and why the events over the past 6 years have mattered. Now that the mystery's been solved, I frankly feel less inclined to care about whoever ends up as the protector, since it's just checkout counter metaphysics...
  20. That's how I felt, as well. The mythology is what we've been building up to, but the results felt rushed and to be honest, amateurish. Questions abound. If MIB is dead and needs a 'host body' to manifest himself as human, why do we see him sitting next to Jacob on the beach in the "I've found a loophole scene?" Who are the 'smart people' who enlighted MIB about how to manipulate the light? An on and on... There's a lot to wrap up in the final 3.5 hours and I hope the storyline is better than last night...
  21. No, I believe that was the strength and conditioning coach...
  22. Yep, it was really windy in WNY over the weekend...
  23. In other words, the exact opposite of what it takes to be a regular TSW poster...
  24. Thanks for another thread on this topic...
