  1. Why perpetuate false and misleading info? Oh, that right...it's the new normal.
  2. Me too, since your premise is so bupkis. Average annual population growth for the United States: Since 1929--1.2% Since 1970--1.0% Since 2000--0.9% Census Bureau Projection 2009-2040--0.9% (source) To say the U.S. is going to hell in a handbasket because population growth is going to fall one-tenth of a percentage point below the 1970-2009 average is just too Tea Party to be true...
  3. The premise of that article is completely bogus since Elliott Wave International is a fuggn' joke. May as well cite the 2012 End of Days as a reason for the NFL's collapse, since the odds of that happening are higher than the Dow hitting 1,000. It never ceases to amaze what lows writers (or investment gurus) will stoop to to attract eyeballs amid all the white noise...
  4. IMO, a lot has to do with the negative psychology that seems to permeate all discourse today as a byproduct of the Great Recession / Anemic Recovery. Stated another way, everyone loves to just B word, B word, B word....about anything and everything. (I thought Jobs handled today's press conference pretty well, BTW)
  5. ...and yet, sales are still in the top 10 among all years at the Ralph. Stupid thread....
  6. Training camp can't start soon enough...
  7. ''The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers'' Dick the Butcher, circa 1591
  8. A BIG Amen to that... A few days ago, a reporter from the Wall Street Journal wrote that 1-in-4 men between the ages of 25-64 were unemployed. When I sent him an e-mail showing how that statement was wrong, including the raw data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and Census Bureau that refuted the number, all he could say is "well, the data are a fiction, then." Meanwhile, his story is all over the Internet and now is "common knowledge" for as long as it can be searched for with Google.
  9. "Man, if I don't get my game back in gear, I might just end up selling souvenir **** in Hooters parking lots like mullet head...."
  10. Yeah, that was my first thought after the part about having to throw out the bread racks...
  11. Dumb thread of the day...so far.
  12. No way to name just one... SRV Duane Allman Ronnie Van Zant / Allen Collins
  13. ...using the ignore feature. Use it often.
  14. Look up "clueless dweeb living in parents basement" and there'll be a picture of Walter....
  15. "The resulting bubble is a mix of the hot gas and the particles from the black hole." Ah, the joys of thinking like a 13-year old again...
  16. Big whoop. Nine out of ten TSW threads are just as lame, so it's not like a new precedent...
  17. Damn you.....
  18. But not the point that James' decision makes Miami any more desireable a location for NFL FAs. The Florida weather and tax comparison trumps that, just as it always has...
  19. What a hoot! Reads more like a suicide note than a 'call to arms'....
  20. The lady in red...
  21. That's expensive tech for an ATM, and indeed impressive. Not many regional banks can dedicate those kind of resources to such a low margin business. That's how BofA operates though...spend a lot of money on systems and scrimp on the human beings...
  22. Not necessarily. Banks can choose not to pay NSF (not sufficient funds) checks. Here's Wells Fargo's policy...
