  1. Trying to free up cap space to keep Clowney, from what I've read...
  2. Hey, that makes two-for-two on the ejections!!
  3. https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/as-quinton-jefferson-head-off-to-buffalo-are-seahawks-chances-of-keeping-jadeveon-clowney-getting-better/ "Many had assumed Jefferson would be back after a 2019 season when he was one of the team’s most dependable defensive linemen, and undoubtedly he will be missed."
  4. Our new croud motivator! https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-fines-vernon-butler-more-for-middle-finger-punching-220129036.html
  5. Lol! Good one... "Butler served as mostly a rotational defensive lineman during the first three seasons of his career. In 2019, he started a career-high nine games, finishing with 32 tackles, six sacks, and three forced fumbles." https://www.profootballrumors.com/2020/03/bills-sign-dt-vernon-butler
  6. Heard a money market analyst from Boston on Bloomberg TV this afternoon. He said that in his office, the Brady news was a bigger shock than the financial market melt down and he was glad the windows couldn't be opened as there might have been a few jumpers. I think he was kidding, but wasn't entirely sure...
  7. In these troubled times, we all should chip in and pay to wrap Beane in bubble wrap and Clorox wipes...
  8. The Bengals ranked 29th in total defense last year--and dead last against the run. Now, with a great interior DT combo, they might move all the way up to....25th in 2020! Whoo hoo! Way to go Mike Brown...
  9. Maybe. But probably not, IMO. Edmunds plays the Luke Kuechly role in McD's scheme and I don't ever remember him moving Kuechly around like that for the Panthers. I think Sean prioritizes simplicity and repeatability more than confusing the other team (as well as his own)...
  10. No. Think of Diggs as the Bills first round draft pick this year. The fifth and sixth rounders are camp fodder, as is the sixth rounder next year....
  11. Meh. Another national writer unfamiliar with the Bills...
  12. I agree. The Titan's are the best equipped to "win now," Vrabel's his buddy and he was investigating private school options there, which makes me think it was pretty serious interest...
  13. So, the NFL's new marijuana policy has been extended to beat reporters as well? Hadn't realized that. Thanks!...
  14. Miami made some moves. But to me, the Dolphins always seem like a collection of players, rather than a cohesive team--which is what McBeane have built here in Buffalo. I don't expect that to change this year, even with the new additions...
  15. That's a Roten idea...
  16. Any and all of them are easily replaced...
  17. As a 50-year Bills fan, I keep thinking: "We finally have a great foundation, Brady's gone, the team is going to take that next step and go deep into the playoffs...and then some new virus will appear, causing the Super Bowl to be canceled." How Billsy would that be...
  18. If Beane could somehow land a cheaper replacement for Murphy (or rework his contract like Star), that would give them a lot more flexibility to get Reader and maybe one more mid-level FA...
  19. Well, I look at it as the entire nation is conditioned to think "the Bills never win anything," so the Vikings must have won that trade. But we got the best player in the deal and the Vikes got potential. It remains to be seen how well that potential plays out for them...
  20. Hey, if you lived in Niagara Falls, you'd be a bitter crank with nothing good to say as well...
  21. https://www.dkpittsburghsports.com/2020/03/17/steelers-tyler-matakevich-signs-bills-fdl/ "Matakevich joined the Steelers in 2016 out of Temple with a reputation of being a tackling machine. That has proven to be the case on special teams for the Steelers. In 2019, Matakevich matched the Chargers Derek Watt for the NFL lead in special teams tackles with 16."
