  1. Adding the names of proven all-pros next to unproven draft picks is a bit misleading. While I think OT is clearly the Bills' greatest need (who needs a WR if your QB is on his back all the time), I'd have to take Fitzgerald from your list (he currently ranks fourth all-time in league history in receiving yards per game for a career). The probability of Floyd being that good is a BIG, BIG, BIG if, however...
  2. Based on everything I've seen, the only draft rankings that have Glenn in the second round were published more than 2 months ago. He's moved up significantly since the combine... Reiff was invited and chose not to attend...
  3. [/url] Looks like Mayock agrees...
  4. There's greater value in drafting an OT than a pure OG. As Buddy says, if the guy excells at tackle, you've hit a home run. If he can't handle the edge, he can be shifted inside and will at worst be a very good to excellent guard. Personally, I'd rather have a guy that can play 3-4 spots on the O-line at a high level than one that can only play two.
  5. Not according to a brief sampling of TSW...
  6. If only giving up the 41st pick would do it, then yes, I'd be all for drafting Kalil. However, I doubt that's all it would take, despite what the trade value chart suggests...
  7. Why the Economic Impact of the Super Bowl is so Controversial
  8. "The impact of the Indianapolis 500 alone is $336 million – more than four times the $104 million economic impact of the Indianapolis Colts, according to statistics from Purdue University."
  9. Off a bit. Try $150 million... Or how about a $350,000 loss.
  10. Your draft guides were likely published a few months ago, I'm thinking...
  11. ??? That's nowhere in the story that I can find...
  12. Looks like others are coming to the same conclusion...
  13. Maybe ol' Gil doesn't know/recognize NFL scouts as well as he used to...
  14. The 27 teams number comes straight from Notre Dame, so I suspect they counted the credentials handed out...
  15. It's likely someone from the Bills' attended, though not Buddy himself: "Representatives from 27 of the 32 NFL teams were in attendance, including several position coaches, coordinators and scouts, as well as two general managers and two head coaches."
  16. Seems like a waste of a top-10 pick if that's the most likely outcome...
  17. Not so much worried about Pro Bowl appearences (it's a popularity, "I've heard of him" contest that favors veterans over younger players) but that they're effective starters early in their careers with the potential to play multiple roles/positions as they develop. O-linemen can do that more effectively than wideouts, IMO.
  18. No and maybe...
  19. And this is why I'm worried about taking a WR at 10...
  20. Agreed. Good player, more a product of Iowa's offensive system than a true LOT. It may even be that said system is the reason he's been hyped so much by draft gurus ("Hey, he's an Iowa lineman--he must be good!").
  21. Way to go, Bubba...
  22. Charlie Casserly thinks his best position is at Will backer. With our big front four, he's be covered up to fly to the ball and be a real disruptor.
  23. I call bull****. He had Orapko and Everette Brown both rated ahead on Maybin...
  24. Green Bay draft history Ravens draft history Hits and misses, just like everybody else. It helps to be drafted by a good team with fewer holes to fill and coaches that can put young players in a better position to succeed.
