  1. You do know that the Bleecher Report is written by amateurs, right? Matt Miller bio: "Matt was the secondary and special teams coordinator for the three-time league champion Joplin Crusaders of the Central Football League." Heavens to Betsy, what qualifications...
  2. He's nowhere to be found in their preseason list from June 2011. He had a nice start to the season, got hurt and wasn't a diference maker during the second half swoon. SS can certainly be upgraded...
  3. I respectfully disagree. Byrd is a ballhawk, but not that special in run support. Wilson can't cover the TE's in our division and isn't that physical either. Wanny could use a bigger, tougher field general who could deliver better run support and be a better disruptor than what we have now...
  4. I wish people that want Kuechly would watch the Clemson game tape from 2011 (one of the few quality opponents) that BC played last year. The guy was embarasing...
  5. Adding toughness and youth to an very average secondary...
  6. That's my three as well. Just say "no" to Kuechly....
  7. The Clemson gave tape from and should be required viewing for anyone that wants Kuechly. To call him Poz 2.0 is an insult to Poz...
  8. Maybe it's a TARDIS and he can draft Anthony Munoz, Lance Alworth and Ronnie Lott. Throw in Montana with the compensitory pick...
  9. Mike must have . He dosen't even look like a 7th rounder against Clemson. In fact, that's the worst game I've ever seen from a supposed premium player. Sombody tell me I'm wrong...
  10. Given that this is sourced from Charlie Casserly, whose ties to Buddy and Chan seem negligible, I tend to doubt it...
  11. bump... If it's a smokescreen, it's a pretty effective one.
  12. This can't help. Kid sounds like a walking train wreck...
  13. Pro Football Weekly has him rated 41st which might put him in play for us. I've not seen any tape on him, but Nawrocki has a pretty good eye for lineman (then again, he didn't visit OBD). Bottom line: A model of consistency on and off the field, Allen makes the game look easy and is one of the best pure pass protectors in this year’s draft, with the unique balance, coordination and agility to warrant late-first-round consideration as a left tackle prospect. Versatility, football smarts and durability could allow him to start immediately and play at a high level for the next 10 years.
  14. Is there an alternative? Fourth round, no higher, and I'm fine with it. He certainly IS a football player...which you can never have too many of.
  15. Still, that a lot of draft capital in the deep backfield. I like Barron a lot and don't have a lot of hangups about taking a guy based on talent vs. postion. But even I wouldn't feel comfortable going saftey-safety with two premium picks as soon as KC's contemplating, if they're indeed interested in Barron...
  16. I just realized he had Barron going to KC after they picked Eric Berry (a top 5 pick) a few years ago. Strange...
  17. "It's hard to draft in the NFL..."
  18. Without doubt. But a blanket statement that Buddy just wants to shock people with the first pick is silly, IMO...
  19. Yeah, that Dareus guy sucks. Spiller too...
  20. Haven't you heard...Mort likes us now!
  21. Thanks. Now I've got to clean the coffee out of my keyboard...
  22. Doubt it. I don't suspect that teams are scouring each other's websites for drafting hints...
  23. I'd be very happy with that. The second round seems to be the place to fish this year...
  24. Being one of the tallest munchkins doesn't make you an NBA prospect. Playing on a bad defense and padding your stats doesn't guarantee sucess at the next level, IMO...
  25. Toche! His partner in crime last night said Barron was the only safety he projects as a first-round pick, and he has him going early...
