  1. Liked Kendricks--nice pick for the Eagles....
  2. Glenn can play much sooner--even day one--while Martin will need at least a year to get stronger. Buddy said "win now" and he means it...
  3. No way. He's going to get the first shot at LOT. With Chan's quick strike passing game, he'll be fine. And we have a real road grader if we want to run left...
  4. Excellent pick and value. This guy can cover 4 of the 5 O-line positions. We not have a good young line that can stack up with anybody.
  5. wOO hOO!!!!!
  6. Come on, Cordy...
  7. Yeah, I was going to add "let's not and say we did." The only thing you're grading against are the draft publication/guru's opinions--which are like a$$holes, since everyone's got one...
  8. I suspect Osweiler goes in the 2nd (only because the QB position is over-drafted), which the Bills can't afford to gamble on given the big holes they have to fill at OT, WR and LB.
  9. It would take at least the 3rd (#71), and both 4ths (#105 and #124) to get back to just a mid-50s pick. That's too much, unless the guy is a bonafide day-one starter. OTOH, a deal involving next year's second rounder and this year's #105 might get you in the same place if, say a WR they love sides down a bit. I suspect Buddy's too conservative to do something like that, however...
  10. You do know that Winfield's listed at 5' 9" and 180 pounds, right?
  11. Wang 2.0!!! Tend to agree on the pumped up TE body type. That's why I wish we could trade up for Glenn. That guy's a brick schithouse who can still move well. Every time Buddy or any Bills scout has talked OT, they've emphasized length and mass. If you're big enough, pass rushers have to spend an extra tenth of a second running around you, which makes all the difference to the QB. Glenn (or Massie) fits that profile, so I'm hoping they'd be bold enough to go up and get him...
  12. Yeah, those guys had Reiff already buying a house in Orchard Park before the draft. How dare Buddy go with BPA at an area of need other than OT...
  13. Yeah, he'll be a Bill if he's still there at 41...
  14. Good pick, although I wish it were Glenn. Unless we keep Fitz upright, it won't matter what WRs we have...
  15. With the ample history of first round busts, the "new" approach to trading up runs a mighty big risk of falling on its face. Time and time again, it's been shown that quality players can be found in lower rounds---if you know what you're doing. Those teams that gave up picks to 'get their guy' better hope their aim is true since they have fewer bullets in their guns today...
  16. "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a miracle worker...."
  17. Yeah, it was a bit over the top. Like they were lifelong friends or something. Then again, with all the Commish has had to deal with lately, he's probably is looking for a few hugs...
  18. You got that right...
  19. These "wasted pick" posters never seem to offer up who should have been taken and why (in terms of draft value), or acknowledge that CB was an area of need. Just whaa, whaa, whaa. No insight, no value to their posts. Put 'em on ignore... McLuv'n would never have been a Buddy pick based on the conference he played in and level of competition he faced. In Buddy's mind, production against top-flight SEC teams is the crucible that makes a potential NFL starter, not dazzling measurables or the dreaded "potential" label. Pretty smart approach...
  20. Buddy better be prepared to package some of the 4th or 5th round picks to trade up if there's a run on OTs at the start of the round. I'd love to get Glenn for his versatility and immediate contribution or Massie for his upside. Even Schwartz (who I bet the Pats nab to replace Light) might be a good pick here, even though some boards have him going in the 3rd.
  21. I'd love to know what draft publications you were looking at...
  22. Yeah, that Troy State level of competition is really good preparation for the next level. Going up against SEC receivers should give Gilmore a bit better training, I suspect...
  23. This is where I'd like Buddy to get aggressive and package a few of our extra picks to get the Colts #2 so we can take care of the OT problem with either Glenn, Massie, Adams, Shwartz--whoever they like best--so they can get their guy. Fingers crossed...
  24. And Pittsburgh wins the lottery...again. Nice pick for them. Pats D is getting a nice refresh...
