  1. Seems like a pretty big implication to me. Why isn't it more likely that it was a football decision made by Buddy (mediorce performance + high salary + need to re-sign young guys that contribute more = goodbye DF). While tin-foil hats are always in fashion at TSW, it's a big stretch to say Littmann's fingerprints are on this move...
  2. "Author" is a bit grandiose, since it's the BelcherReport. More like poster...
  3. persuasive Anybody can yell "Fire!" in a theater. The best columnists use facts, reasoning and insights from other knowledgeable sources to educate the reader and be persuasive in their arguments. Sully does none of that. In fact he seems to constantly take the path of least resistance. Or, as I've said before, write like a drunk on a barstool. I actually hope Tim Graham can work toward taking Sully's columnist role as he'd bring a working journalist vibe (a Larry Felser for this generation) to the role. That would be like an Oasis in the desert of mediocrity that now characterizes the BN's stable of columnists, sports desk or otherwise...
  4. Simple. One guy speaks out of his ass and the other uses his brain, contacts and experience. Based on TSW demographics, both have large and ardent followings...

  6. They're projecting the Bills to trade up to #2 to get their franchise QB...
  7. Yes, Tim's a pro. Now if the Snooze could load up on talent like the Bills have this off-season, I could give my bird something else to **** on...
  8. It was on July 27th, but I suspect they didn't realize how fast Aaron Williams was going to develop...
  9. Good for Tim. Hopefully, he can keep Sully honest (if that's possible) by throwing some of his less-well thought out bombs right back at him...
  10. A year ago, they had no depth and were over a barrel. Now they're not. Not that surprising, given what his cap hit was...
  11. That's Mensa-level for a CB...
  12. Pretty close...45 full time teachers in the whole district. I watched a bunch more Monmouth clips last night and I'm feeling better about the kid. Still don't see much of a rocket arm, but his field awareness is very good. His college team (ranked 17th in D-III) was just a machine against the opponnents they played, so he had a lot (in a relative sense) of talent around him. It would be really cool if he could even make the PS. But a guy from D-III Augustana made it once, so there's a precedent...
  13. IIRC, this is the first time the camp hasn't been the weekend immediately after the draft. Seems odd, but maybe there are some commencement conflicts they're trying to avoid (South Carolina's is on the 5th, so maybe they want Gilmore here)...
  14. He was needed a year ago and after this draft, not so much. If the Bills had taken Mark Barron instead of Gilmore, he'd probably still be here. Things change, that's the transitory nature of the NFL...
  15. $4.9 million according to this link.
  16. I watched a Monmouth game highlight package where I got the rainbow impression. Every throw was an arc dropped into the hands of his receiver, rather than gunned into a tight window. It may well have been due to the quality (or lack thereof) of his WRs and/or the DBs, however. He was pretty impressive on medium (10-15 yard) fade routes into the corner of the endzone, which are throws similar to many of his trick shots (i.e., throwing it into a garbage can)...
  17. NFL velocity is gonna be hard for this kid, IMO. You can't throw too many rainbows on 20-yard outs or seam routes--DBs are just too good at this level...
  18. Since it was immediately followed by a question about Nick Foles, the QB they drafted in the third round, his remarks seem a bit disingenuous...
  19. Man, what a hoot. Young was the QB for one playoff season (2007) at Tennesee in which the Titans never won more than 3 games in a row (10-6 record overall). They then lost 17-6 to the Chargers in the wildcard game, in which he went 16 for 29 for a grand total of 138 yards and a pick. He also had 12 yards rushing. In 2008, he only started one game and it was Kerry Collins who led them to a 13-3 record.
  20. The radio guy that got that interview is the selfish one, if you ask me...
  21. Speaking of Wonderlic's, it would be quite a coup to have the highest (Fitz - 48) and lowest-scoring (Mr. 6) QBs on the same team. A 27 mean is still pretty good...
  22. Agreed. It's like monkeys thowing **** at each other on that board....
