  1. So what does that say about the folks who listen and complain about it afterwards? smh...
  2. At best, Norman is a contributor in a nickle or dime role. At worst, he's a $1.5 million (dead cap) insurance policy who can easily be released or ride the bench in a player/coach/mentor role. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/josh-norman-9964/ In 2019, Gaines had a one-year contract for $2.1 million. He'll likely make slightly less this year, so maybe another $300,000 or so dead cap if released. 3. Yes, he would be perfect in that 4th or 5th round range. https://www.dynastyfootballdigest.com/nfl-draft/can-isaiah-hodgins-be-the-best-wide-receiver-prospect/
  4. Houston ownership would step in before any Watson trade would occur. Next...
  5. Little guy (5'9", 180lbs)--Antoine Winfield-type I suspect he's an UDFA... https://utahstateaggies.com/news/2019/1/10/football-utah-state-cornerback-dj-williams-named-to-espn-all-bowl-team.aspx

  7. I tend to agree with you. The Fed has finally done what Trump wanted--open the liquidity spigot full blast--and fiscal stimulus is just a few days away. Both should be good for the financial markets, especially the risk backstops being put in place for major corporations and industries. So, risk on, baby...drive the MF stock market back up! So what if a few million old people won't get to see it...
  8. Jeffrey Dean Morgan...
  9. Signed with the Panthers...
  10. Unfortunately, the Bengel's organization under Mike Brown will never have "it", so I can see a trade happening...
  11. This has been talked about since January. The latest buzz centers around this mock draft by Lance Zierlein... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001107112/article/lance-zierlein-nfl-mock-draft-20-dolphins-go-get-joe-burrow
  12. Wow. Hadn't realized that. He must have felt like he had one arm tied behind his back. Does the Desir signing mean he's doubling down this year?...
  13. Obviously, the Cards screewd up. Maybe they needed a better lawyer! The courts have generally left player movement rules be covered by CBA language under the Rule of Reason doctrine, not the much stricter per se rule. Baseball's CBA states that players have to be on the team's postseason roster on August 31 to be eligible for the playoffs. The courts would take that as a negotiated labor agreement and not find it to be a restraint of trade.
  14. I wonder if the Jets anticipated that and perhaps outbid the Bills. It will be interesting to see the contract numbers. Strange, though, that Gregg Williams defense emphasizes man-to-man coverage and Desir is a zone CB...
  15. Timing is everything. If they knew a week ago that the Colts were going to cut him, maybe they don't sign Norman so quickly...
  16. Yes, the could have chosen to keep these workers on the payroll. My sense is that the Pegula's thought they were helping them qualify for unemployment insurance or any upcoming income support payments from Washington. Was it a cheap move? Sure. But PSE is within their rights just as much as any other employer doing the same thing right now. Singling them out because they happen to be billionaires seems odd when Fortune 500 companies like Hyatt Hotels etc. are doing the exact same thing. Just a bit of 1% bashing, I suppose...
  17. Vacation time, or paid time off (PTO), isn’t required under any state or federal laws for non-exempt employees (i.e., non-exempts only get paid when they work). However, as a practical matter, almost all employers provide some amount of paid time off to their non-exempts for retention and attraction reasons. Once that time is used up, though, it's unpaid...
  18. PTO and severance are for exempt employees only. Non-exempts like 95% of the ones the Pegulas terminated don't get those kind of benefits...
  19. The NFL and MLB have anti-trust exemptions. Next...
  20. Shia Labeouf...
  21. Baseball! The MLB rules are all together different than in the NFL. "To be eligible for a [MLB] team's postseason roster, a player must be on any of the following: (a) the 40-man reserve list, (b) the 60-day Injured list, or (c) the bereavement list as of August 31 at midnight ET.[1] The only exception is that a player who is on the injured list at the end of the regular season may be replaced on the postseason roster by any other player who was in the organization on August 31, with the approval of the Commissioner."
