  1. Too bad SDS set the "ignore users" feature to only go up to 16 pages...it fills up so fast, you get stuck seeing the 'pearls of wisdom' that pop up here every day.
  2. Where's the "This topic is currently being discussed in other threads" closure post? Come on, mods, you're asleep at the switch...
  3. LOL...Walker's on vacation and still gets slagged: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/bills-qb-fitzpatrick-og-levitre-201728104--nfl.html
  4. The timing of this thread is pretty interesting, given the Fighting Blue Hen alum who'll sign the largest contract in NFL history tomorrow...
  5. That would be a great enhancement. But it's likely the same people would make the same posts under new user names when their past pronouncements were shown to be bupkis...
  6. Agreed. Nothing is certain, but those saying it's a certainty that Levitre's gone are ignoring the current regime's track record of not losing anyone they've made an effort to keep/acquire. Moreover, IMO, the elevation of Brandon to President makes it even more likely the front office will find a way to work out a contract with Andy. If Russ wants the Bills to be relevant again, this is one of the ways he can demonstrate it--by keeping one of their most valuable home grown players in the fold.
  7. I never read anything Bucky has to say...
  8. Show me where he says they expect to get bounced in the first or second round and you can waste good electrons with this thread...
  9. Joel was a true analyst, always using hours and hours of film study to make his own evaluations, rather than simply parroting the misinformation that other draft gurus (ie, Kiper) get fed to them by scouts. I miss his insights very much...
  10. Gotta disagree. To paraphrase Marv, If you have to justify your moves with the fans, you'll soon end up sitting with them. Marrone obviously has a plan that doesn't include these guys. What it is, we don't yet know. But it will become evident eventually (probably after FA starts or via the draft).
  11. Interesting thought that makes a lot of sense.
  12. I don't get why so many knickers are in a twist on this. Just because they don't assign him a 2nd round tender (i.e., locking in his salary at $2MM per year) doesn't mean he won't be back. If the Bills want to sign him to a much more reasonable $1 million per year contract, he'll likely be here. If he's as mediocre as many here claim, who's going to throw more money than that at him?
  13. Doesn't mean addressing the talent level on that side of the ball was the wrong thing to do. Revisionist history only becomes relevant when things don't work out as expected... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/15/mario-gives-bills-legitimacy-stout-defense/ http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7718582/2012-nfl-free-agency-bills-beefing-defense-sign-de-anderson
  14. Yeah, it's a B word to invest so much in our Pro Bowl caliber players. Better to spend those dollars on the mediocrities...
  15. Don't agree. IMO, Fitzs' biggest weakness at clutch time is that he tries to overcompensate for the weaknesses at other positions and ends up taking risks that his physical skills don't allow him to overcome. Is that choking...or just a lack of the necessary skill set to play the position at this level? I think it's the latter. He's a gamer, but will never make enough plays to be able to carry a mediocre team on his shoulders.
  16. Spend more time at TSW and you will...
  17. Only thing of value in this post...
  18. Yep, this description was spot on (as well as suggesting he's been misused so far): "He lacks the hip fluidity to play on an island at the next level, but he has experience lining up over the slot and maintains proper position to take away the easy crossing routes. When the ball is in the air, he has a great closing burst and the superb hands to make plays even on errant throws. He is aggressive in run support, but lacks the fundamentals to make tackles in the open field." http://www.nfl.com/draft/2011/profiles/aaron-williams?id=2495510#tab=0
  19. My first thought was that Upton's getting overexposed...but then, I suppose that's the whole point of her appeal.
  20. Could be something to do with having a physical and getting a medical sign off, since he was rehabbing. Same thing may be holding up the decision on Kelsey...
  21. Yeah, yeah...don't go all Ted Nugent on us. These kind of legislators are just exhibitionists who latch on to anything that will get their name in print. No way, no how, does Cuomo waste a moment's time on bills advanced by guys who yell fire in the theater of the absurd...
  22. I'd like to see that move. IMO, he doesn't have enough quick twitch or instincts for being on an island at the corner. However, if Pettine goes after his Jet boys, where would that leave Williams?
