  1. And damn it, I've got to delete someone again to make another new addition...
  2. Zebrie Sanders? He went on IR, wasn't cut. Please, please, SDS...16 pages is NOT enough! (see the post above this as well....)
  3. Meh. Not much to evaluate there...
  4. Curious they thought this was the place to pick Meeks. His bio reads like an UDFA....
  5. I think we'll see a lot of bunch formations. The small, speed guys running behind some pick-like interference, rather than the traditional X, Y and Z formations...
  6. I had the same thought. He has a lot more "football player" movement skills and instincts, IMO...
  7. So how many of those deep passes did he outrun and have to re-track because the QB didn't throw the ball where it needed to be? If you check out the Ole Mis game, you see that many of the deep passes he's been targeted with have been underthrown and he's had to pop the drag chute to come back to them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5HXbFuAi3g
  8. Just making $hitt up? http://www.nfl.com/v...arquise-Goodwin http://www.usatoday....s-buzz/1943727/ Risers Marquise Goodwin, Texas: Goodwin was outstanding from start to finish, and the speedy receiver is causing excitement. He was the fastest receiver on the field, clocking an official time of 4.27 seconds. His speed was evident during drills, too: He consistently outran passes delivered by the strongest-armed quarterbacks. Proving to be more than a straight-line sprinter, he ran terrific routes and caught the ball well in the short field. Goodwin continues to build on the momentum he started at the Senior Bowl last month and further elevated his draft grade with his combine performance.
  9. It's a good possibility that much of Texas' offense scheme is installed at spring practice. If Goodwin was running track then, it could very likely be the coaching staff just went with route packages and schemes not designed to take advantage of his skill set--sort of "out of sight, out of mind." Once he rejoined the team in July, the offense was set and he was sort of an afterthought, except for the odd bubble screen or reverse.
  10. Not if it's against the Bills twice a year...
  11. Good. Now what's tomorrow's lottery number?
  12. So this is exactly the scenario talked about the other day--Dansby and the Bills waiting until after the draft to see who got picked and how it would impact the LB corps. There's still a need for Karlos, so hopefully we'll see both sides come back to the table this week...
  13. Good read: http://mattwaldmanrsp.com/2013/02/27/the-kaepernick-project-fsu-qb-e-j-manuel/
  14. http://www.dailytexa...st-second-round "Goodwin is the kind of player that changes games. In his last one with the Longhorns, he took a reverse 64 yards for a touchdown on the first snap of the second quarter after Texas hadn’t gotten a first down for the entire first quarter." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/-nfl-draft/news/20130419/2013-nfl-draft-marquise-goodwin/ "In his four seasons in Austin, Goodwin had 120 receptions for 1,364 yards, coming mostly on deep routes across the field or bubble screens to the outside. To put that in perspective, Tavon Austin, the second-fastest wideout at the combine and the likely first receiver off the board, caught 114 balls for 1,289 yards in 2012 alone. Austin and Goodwin have similar builds and explosiveness, but it's these statistics that separate them as prospects in the eyes of NFL personnel. However, the Olympian attributes the huge numbers gap to one thing. Opportunity. "If I had 1,000 yards or even three extra touchdowns nobody would even question if I was a football player," Goodwin said. "If I got as many balls as Tavon Austin no one would even question if Marquise Goodwin is a top pick in the draft." http://www.nflrush.com/video/5193 "that was a 4.25....." http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2013/02/24/nfl-combine-wide-receivers-workout-marquise-goodwin-creates-buzz/1943727/ Risers Marquise Goodwin, Texas: Goodwin was outstanding from start to finish, and the speedy receiver is causing excitement. That’s one of the things you don’t always think about with those guys who are really, really fast — just how precise they run a route. I think he’s got a good foundation for moving forward in the NFL.” http://sportsblogs.s...ay-showing.html "Because he has never concentrated solely on football because of his track commitments, Goodwin says he will only get better in NFL when he is focused on football year round."
  15. Google "Marquise Goodwin: 5 Things You Need to Know About the Texas WR" (I can't insert the link for some reason) "Speed, speed and more speed. Goodwin is going to instantly be one of the ten fastest wide receivers in the NFL—if not ten fastest players, period. He is the kind of player who has to be accounted for on every play, because he turns minor mistakes by defensive backs into touchdowns." "As a returner and slot receiver, pro coaches are going to scheme ways to get Goodwin the ball in space. " "With the proliferation of wide-open, space-based NFL, it becomes hard to ignore that type of speed. Whether you are a team that likes to go vertical or a precision West Coast attack, there is always room for sub-4.3 speed." "Re: WR Marquise Goodwin, Mike Mayock: He reminded me of Mike Wallace. Had a good Senior Bowl Week. No way he gets out of the 3 round." "Goodwin played in 50 career games, making 22 starts at receiver, and ranks among the Longhorns' all-time leaders with 120 career receptions (11th), 985 kickoff return yards (sixth) and amassed 2,776 all-purpose yards." http://espn.go.com/espnw/more-sports/9207614/2013-nfl-draft-track-success-hurt-marquise-goodwin-nfl-dreams
  16. Nah. But back up your statement, rather than spouting hyperbole, and maybe you'll get more of an argument ....
  17. Yep. Unless you're privy to the war room, all this 'analysis' is just wasted electrons...
  18. Exactly. TSW only has an opinion when it thinks a player sucks....
  19. Agreed. Definitely should be moved here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/145121-censored-my-gf-says/
  20. I'd agree with that assessment. Any dishing on the pick you saw was because it went against the 'expert advice' these guys try to sell the public for the past few months. When 'experts' get it wrong, they loose the only thing they have to hang their hat on--credibility. McShay would likely be selling insurance if he couldn't make people believe he had some innate knowledge on the draft that's superior to what any of us have... P.S. Bucky Gleason's a douche. If you can access the video of he and Milt Northrop on the Snooze website last night, you can see why the era of Larry Felser and Jim Kelley will never come this way again: http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2013/04/video-news-sports-reporters-react-to-bills-picking-ej-manuel.html
  21. It seemed almost perverse how the ESPN director focused so much attention on him. Made me think of a kid with a magnifying glass and an ant hill on a sunny day...
  22. The national media sees all, knows all...
  23. EJ And the server melts down in 1...2...3...
