  1. He hasn't had Alabama's O-line to block for him against over-matched 20-year old kids. His upright running style may have worked against air in college but it's not been effective in the NFL, where holes are smaller and contact balance is a necessity...
  2. They're only open for medical-related treatment. So Harrison can be evaluated and rehab. But not available for general workouts, unfortunately...
  3. I'd rather shoot him and put him out of his misery...
  4. I wonder what services the flight attendants on that plane offer...
  5. Personally, I find draft guides less and less helpful and have gravitated to Youtube video of full-length games, where available. Unfortunately, while that coverage is pretty good for the big schools, it's pretty spotty for the small fry. The late Joel Buchsbaum was the GOAT draftnick and no one since has been able to touch that level of insight, IMO. I miss his draft guides massively as he could capture the essence of a player in just a few lines better than anybody (Kiper couldn't hold Joel's jockstrap)...
  6. Well, he sort of is. He's 3-4 years older (24 years old) than most of the guys he's playing against...
  7. This to me would be the final piece of the passing game puzzle to make this offense truly dynamic:
  8. I stopped reading after his “running backs don’t matter” straw man. I can't think of a single fan who would say that. They might say "running backs are devalued" or "don't use a high pick on a RB"--but no credible football fan would say they don't matter...
  9. Agreed to some extent. But that's also how you turn into Atlanta or the Rams. I don't see McBeane being those kind of "put it all on red" type of risk takers...
  10. A new poll conducted March 27-30: https://www.grinnell.edu/news/americans-showing-resolve-through-covid-19-crisis Tell me if this is something that has already happened because of the coronavirus, if you expect it to happen in the near future or if you do not expect it to happen anytime soon. N=1,009 MoE = ± 3.1 percentage points
  11. Depth isn't as much a concern as age. Wallace may be the young CB they can groom, but Norman and Gaines are just stopgaps (if that) right now. McD likes to develop young players who can step in after a year of mentoring, so it would make sense to draft a CB, S or WR prospect this year to keep the train rolling in 2021...
  12. Based on the draft value chart, the Bills could move up 16 spots, to 38th, by trading their third (#86). Or up four spots to #50 by trading their fourth (#128). They could move up eight spots in the third, to #78, by trading their fourth. This suggests that trading pick #86 is the only one that allows a significant value move up the board. So if they sit pat in round two, I doubt we'll see much moving around in latter rounds, unless it's to jump ahead 1-2 slots to prevent another team from taking their guy...
  13. Good analysis of both guys: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/kyle-dugger-jeremy-chinn-risers/ Dugger was an early draft darling but I think Chinn is passing him as the better prospect. He's two years younger (22 vs. 24) and has more upside to work with...
  14. Lol! Beane is a bad, bad man. Don't play chicken with him...
  15. What is the definition of gullible 1. gullible [ a ] naive and easily deceived or tricked Examples: "at that early age she had been gullible and in love" Used in print: (Jack Kaplan, "The Health Machine Menace: Therapy by...) With these gadgets - impressive to the gullible because of their flashing light_bulbs , ticks , and buzzes - he then carries_out a vicious medical con_game , capitalizing on people 's respect for the electrical and atomic wonders of our scientific age . Synonyms gullible green fleeceable Related Terms naive 2. gullible [ a ] easily tricked because of being too trusting Examples: "gullible tourists taken in by the shell game" Synonyms gullible Related Terms unwary
  16. Chinn is blowing up all around the Internet with a lot of teams now looking at him as a top 40 pick. Snagging him at #54 will be unlikely, although he'd be perfect as the "big nickel" McD loves so much...
  17. That is 110% of why I want Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He's Thurman Thomas 2.0, which would make this offense on par with Kansas City if all the parts work together...
  18. The comments to Rapoport's tweet are hillarious...
  19. He was nowhere near the most productive or "best" DL last year. Anybody who says so should make a cash offer for the Brooklyn Bridge, ASAP. IMO, Phillips is like so many free agents who underwhelm after getting big contracts. Stats alone don't tell the story, but time after time, supposed "football people" get locked in on them and think they tell you who the player is...
