  1. I'd agree with their take, so I'm not sure why you think it's trolling...he's been the tallest guy in the Land of Lilliput during an era when the passing game is featured, no matter who is playing QB. Number One wideouts are much more in the "difference maker" category, IMO, than what Johnson has provided so far to the Bills, despite the back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons...
  2. Well, if he needs more help on that, we could always see if the Jets would let us bring back this proven miracle worker...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Lee_(American_football_coach)
  3. Yeah, I like the new unis... http://prod.images.bills.clubs.nflcdn.com/image-web/NFL/CDA/data/deployed/prod/BILLS/assets/images/imported/BUF/photos/clubimages/2013/05-May/tempMR1_6855--nfl_mezz_1280_1024.JPG?width=960&height=720
  4. What this tells me is that they know this is a "building the culture" year--code for "we're gonna suck, but young guys will get reps and experience, good and bad." A solid vet like Dansby on a one year deal would just delay that process, I guess...
  5. Like fiat money (Look it up, Thurman!), the term 'sportswriter' has been devalued in the Internet age...
  6. At this level, the players have to be accountable to themselves. If it takes a 'fire and brimstone' speech (or air horn), you've got the wrong guys...
  7. Screw the hockey heaven angle...I like it just because it's a thumb in Bucky Gleason's eye!
  8. Yeah, you're right...that's a pretty weak site, even if I agree with the order. The Pro Football Reference link I posted after it (and again here) has a lot more meat to it: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/career-receiving.htm I'll also admit, that I have a real antipathy for Johnson. I've seen talented WRs in the Bills unis over the years, and to me, Steve's just a 5-foot giant in the Lilliput land we've been stuck with in recent years...
  9. Agreed. That site's a bit sketchy, even if the rankings seem pretty good to me.. How about this one: http://www.pro-footb...r-receiving.htm The only guy in that top-10 that I'd say Johnson is better than is Josh Reed...and possibly Price, although Peerless had some pretty similar stats.
  10. It's frustrating when these kind of statements get repeated round and round the campfire without putting them in context... of the NFL now vs. the NFL then. Johnson, despite his 1,000 yard seasons, is not even in the top 10 all-time Bills WRs (talent wise), IMO. This site's opinion, as well: http://www.rankopedi...Step1/9492/.htm
  11. Too bad the body of work pre-injury was so limited...http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/ButlJe00.htm
  12. As a public service, wouldn't it be better to just use the ignore feature a little more on bomb throwers who want attention, rather than spill their bile all over TSW floor...
  13. Yeah, Michael Jordan has it all figured out: http://www.theonion.com/articles/michael-jordan-accidentally-leaves-for-honeymoon-w,32274/
  14. Their relationship must have went south pretty quickly: http://media.mystar1025.com/a/67890850/on-demand-the-better-half-of-the-bills-erin-marzouki-12-11-12.htm
  15. Only if I break down and click "view it anyway"...
  16. A lot of pressure on the fins to win NOW. Otherwise, with all the money they thrown around, they'll be in cap hell for a number of years to come...
  17. The key statement in this whole discussion. As a former lineman and position coach, I don't think Nix or anyone else is going to pull the wool over Marrone's eyes about what he has. That said, I'd still like to have Brandon Moore (or some other quality vet) for the leadership/mentoring that would mix well with all the young guys...
  18. Can't see it happening. As long as ticket prices don't go the NHL-route (and with TV money to subsidize the owners, that's doubtful to happen), the exclusivity of being among the 1%-2% of a regional population that can say around the water cooler/concession truck/quilting bee/circle jerk that "I was at the game and...." will remain a draw.
  19. That kid's not even on the paper's payroll...still, I suppose his 'insights' are about as keen as any of the other 16 pages of folks I've got on ignore here.
  20. No, I see two different guys, with one thing in common. Goodwin seems much more shifty (almost RB-like) and athletic, while Graham's more straight line-ish. TJ could be the "over the top" guy, while Marquise would be an underneath weapon...
  21. Nothing 'jerky' about anything he said, IMO...
  22. Reporter?!. More like this, with less insight... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USHZZ5bwASU
