  1. Having to listen to Tirico will offset any gain that Brees (or someone else) will provide...
  2. I don't know if this will be behind a paywall for non-subscribers, but here's a good NY Times recap of the game: https://www.nytimes.com/1994/01/16/sports/pro-football-bills-come-out-of-the-cold-in-second-half-and-triumph.html Two really interesting points: "After a halftime tongue-lashing by defensive coordinator Walt Corey, who switched to an eight-man defensive front, and a decision by quarterback Jim Kelly to take control of the offense, the Bills snapped out of their funk and beat the Raiders, 29-23, and set themselves up for another return trip to the Super Bowl." "The Bills -- whose game today was the coldest ever played at Rich Stadium -- will play host to the American Football Conference championship game next Sunday at 12:30 P.M. against the winner of this Sunday's Houston-Kansas City game."
  3. Just gave it a listen. Waldman sounds interesting and I'll give his work a lookie loo. OTOH, the host of that podcast was like fingernails on a chalkboard. I never want to listen to that site again...
  4. Well, seeing that Bills fans have been getting up the *** for so many years, maybe we should have...
  5. The Pats cut this guy in December, but may invite him back to training camp:
  6. Yep. Here's the weather info. The '91 game was a balmy 35 degrees, unlike the minus 25 wind chill in '94: January 16, 1994 (Bills 29, Raiders 23): https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/ny/buffalo/KBUF/date/1994-1-16 January 20, 1991 (Bills 51, Raiders 3): https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/ny/buffalo/KBUF/date/1991-1-20
  7. Nope. Frankly, I worry about posting on TSW without one...
  8. I always remember how unprepared for the cold the Raiders were on the sideline. Some guys were wearing long leather 'dusters' that looked cool, but provided no warmth. Their whole team just froze up in the second half. First downs: Raiders Bills First half 14 7 Second half 1 18
  9. Is he any good (i.e., worth $20)? I stopped reading 'draft guru's' after Joel Buchsbaum died, as none seemed to get the 'essence' and intangibles of the player the way he did...
  10. IMO, this is a bear trap, plain and simple. Short covering and momo traders only. Be careful of getting caught up in the FOMO mindset...
  11. "Who is this Matt Waldman guy?" So, I go to his 'about' page and I get nothing that tells me who he is. What makes this guy any better than a TSW poster? Anybody know?...
  12. I have a social distancing policy when it comes to Florio...
  13. A black stadium in the middle of the desert. That's got to be energy efficient. Probably drop the Colorado River an inch for each home game...
  14. Hey, being a 6th round guy, he knows every little bit helps. BB has done bupkis to support the offense for two straight years. That's gotta burn when you know the clock is ticking...
  15. John Simpson. Solid value, a good guy to groom for Spain's spot after this year. Also, I can''t see Uche lasting to #86. Jennings is a 4th round pick to me...
  16. They look great. Much better than Atlanta's new duds...
  17. The XFL called and wants their unis back...
  18. Well, I suspect he was unhappy with how BB was rebuilding the offense, especially with his 2019 draft. Outside of a very, very raw WR in round 1, there was virtually no help for Brady. I'm sure he loved that 5th round punter pick...: Round 1, Pick 32 : WR N’Keal Harry, Arizona State Round 2, Pick 45: CB Joejuan Williams, Vanderbilt Round 3, Pick 77: EDGE Chase Winovich, Michigan Round 3, Pick 87: RB Damien Harris, Alabama Round 4, Pick 118: G Hjalte Froholdt Round 4, Pick 133: QB Jarrett Stidham, Auburn Round 5, Pick 159: DL Byron Cowart, Maryland Round 5, Pick 163: P Jake Bailey, Stanford Round 7, Pick 252: CB Ken Webster, Mississippi
  19. Yeah. This has no ligitimacy at all. Let's not make TSW into Facebook...
  20. I'm leaning away from Dugger and Chinn being targets. Based on the Billsmafia chart below (showing who the Bills have had contact with), they only had an area scout visit Dugger at one practice and they only talked to Chinn via facetime. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZOA6IBeqcF2kbc6cKPYz9fky7TVsOcecaUylGpg7EHI/htmlview OTOH, they had four contacts (including one with Beane) with Edwards-Helaire and J.K. Dobbins. They also had four with Chase Claypool.
  21. Apples to pears. There are more pass rush opportunities for DEs today than when Kelsay played...
