  1. My thoughts as well. It has nothing to do with Whaley, he'll continue to do his thing. IMO, it's more of a way for the Pegula's to learn the ropes of being NFL owners and gaining insight into how the league functions, being able to understand what Whaley and Rex are doing and generally getting up to speed with the help of someone who has a lot of NFL experience to share.
  2. Congrats to Wade. IMO, the Phillips family are the anti-Ryan's. It'll be interesting to see who wins a SB first...
  3. The HOF is a popularity contest. No way he gets in when his 'narative' has already been written by the same electors he's pissing off now...
  4. Agreed. Still, ten passes in two years (vs. 437 for E.J. over the same period). That's a pretty big leap of faith that Moore can be the guy...
  5. I like Moore but my concern is that he's only appeared in three games over the past two seasons (and thrown a total of 10 passes). Is he still the same guy who looked good in 2011, or is just someone we've heard of? Hard to judge...
  6. Hey, Fitz was pretty smart and I didn't see much improvement after Lee went to work on his mechanics. The jury's out on him as far as I'm concerned (maybe Palmer as well)...
  7. That's what I've been waiting to hear. Now, they have to follow through on it...
  8. If (as rumored) Roman is going to focus on the running game and delegate the passing game to Lee and Lal, how is that going to work?
  9. Then again, we could just ignore him and save a lot of Scott's server space...
  10. I think it was more than the hair... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2926211/The-ravishing-brunette-Colombia-takes-Miss-Universe-crown-Paulina-Vega-beats-finalists-USA-Jamaica-Ukraine-Netherlands-2015-crown.html
  11. Interesting hire...he appears to be a QB guru: https://www.scoutingacademy.com/ "Palmer has spent a career developing Quarterbacks and he has aided in the development of players like Drew Bledsoe, Tony Romo, and Eli Manning. Palmer was also the quarterback coach for the New York Giants from 2007-09 earning a victory in Super Bowl XLII." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000319371/article/zach-mettenberger-to-begin-throwing-by-next-week-trainer-says "In a couple of weeks, Mettenberger will head to Test Football Academy in Martinsville, N.J., to train with former NFL coach Chris Palmer."
  12. Especially for a 21-year old kid (who won't turn 22 until the week his second training camp opens)....
  13. It's a TSW reflex action. Sort of like tapping a knee with that little rubber hammer...
  14. Yeah. Reading comprehension is a lost art. Nowhere does that CB statement imply that Dareus or Glenn will play out their last year. He's implying that it won't be "short order" (i.e., in the next few months).
  15. Pro Bowl, Smol Bowl. That's a beauty contest based on number of sacks. All-Pro, on the other hand, is the real deal. I hope Rex sees the wisdom of using the entire D-line in a more balanced front, which IMO, from a gap control standpoint, is more suited to our DTs...
  16. You should have added "...if the ticket price remains among the lowest in the league." 10,000 fewer seats = better pricing power (ye old "supply and demand") and ability to sell premium seating...
  17. Preston Brown is a better, cheaper option, IMO. In the second half of the season, Spikes was getting fewer snaps and seemed to have lost a step. He'd be a good depth guy, but I suspect he'd like to remain a starter somewhere else...
  18. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81fd1e69/printable/lack-of-homegrown-talent-spurs-bills-to-overhaul-front-office More likely, that track record falls on Tom (I don't live in Buffalo) Modrak, Since Gibbons re-uped in 2011, the last couple of years are on him and Whaley...
  19. Nada. Bill Polian gave Gibbons his first job in the NFL. No way he'd ever say anything bad about him...
  20. http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Tom-Gibbons-Press-Conference/6d26408e-718d-4626-bf28-b6fa0a2ad19f Gibbons was originally brought in by Bill Polian back in the early 90s. My take is that his 'eye' for talent (based on what Buddy Nix and before that, John Butler liked) was different that the type of player Whaley likes. I also get the sense that Whaley wants to build a staff of his own guys, which makes sense (like a HC that wants to pick his own assistants). Gibbons is from Dunkirk, so this must have been a dream job for him. He should land on his feet somewhere, so a tip of the hat for the long-term service...

  22. You've got a great future as a headline writer, young man...
  23. Sherman, Sherman, Sherman. The guy's mouth never closes, it seems. Somebody needs to put him in a "wayback machine" for the next two weeks...
