  1. Well, there's something that can be universally agreed upon...
  2. Great to hear, since Glenn looked much heavier to me last season and seemed to have less lateral mobility. I suspect his 'illness' may have limited his off season conditioning. Coming in in shape plus playing for a new contract should really let him get back to form...
  3. Science + orgasmatronics? No contest...
  4. Hey, ya gonna delete this one as well...
  5. I suspect the clock is ticking on him as well. The grass will always be greener elsewhere...
  6. Assuming we don't see any transfers...
  7. +1 Edit: Gee, what happened to that brilliant post? Its gone poof--like a little flatulence in the wind...
  8. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1860763/karlos-williams "Intriguing athlete whose speed and physicality could warrant yet another position change." Hummm....former safety with 4.48 speed. Great special team player. Interesting...
  9. Neither of those guys had national platforms. I look at Shady as being of the stature of Bruce, not B-team guys like SJ or Jerry...
  10. Perhaps one of the reasons Chip doesn't like stars. The whole "no I in team" concept. I think we're going to have to get used to having an outspoken player in Buffalo. It seems like ages since we've had one of those...
  11. Yeah, that was the one quote in the whole interview that stood out to me as well...
  12. "Stevie's playing style is so different it's almost like fighting someone with an awkward boxing style. He has an awkward way of running routes, and he does a lot of different things, and that makes it harder for opponents to cover him." That applies to his QB as well... (I know, I should just bite my tougue and let this thread die in peace. But Lord I can't helpmyself when it comes to SJ)
  13. It sure is. I got the guy on ignore and I still have to see his posts. Please don't feed the trolls...
  14. Man, revisionist history is fun. The NFL was a running league when O.J. played and he was the greatest runner ever, aside from Jim Brown. To judge him by today's pass-happy standards is just plain silly, IMO. Here's one stat to put this whole debate in perspective: O.J. is the only guy in NFL history to have twice rushed for 1,000 yards in the first seven games of a season. Think about that. In Thurman's best season (1991) it took him 11 games to top the thousand mark...
  15. Thurman only won it once, in 1991... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/award_apmvp.htm
  16. Declining play. He was on a one-year $1.5 million contract for 2015... Maybe they are interested in him for his ability to mentor young players...a not unimportant role, even if he never sess the playing field again: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/04/02/kyle-long-on-roberto-garza-will-always-be-a-legend/
  17. 36 years old? That's long in the tooth for even a depth guy... http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/2104/roberto-garza "This may be the end of the line for the 36-year-old Garza, who has started 176 games across 14 seasons for the Falcons and Bears. He's increasingly become a liability in pass protection and finished last year as PFF's No. 28 center among 36 qualifiers."
  18. http://blog.timesunion.com/capitol/archives/231700/state-travel-ban-to-indiana-bars-suny-coaches-from-final-four/ Maybe its just a ploy to keep Bobby Hurley from interviewing for another job...
  19. Sadly, that's become the mission of virtually all electronic and print media in this over-saturated, white-noise filled, interactive world we live in.
  20. Nah. Guys like Rodak are a dime-a-dozen and are paid accordingly. Jerry's got (by today's newspaper business standards, anyway) a pretty good gig at the Snooze...
  21. He's never played OG or C. That takes an adjustment period, even with more highly regarded prospects... (and I don't consider 'holding your own' at Senior Bowl practices to be a good proxy for being capable of stepping into an AFC East starting lineup)
  22. I agree with you about RS. But Mick's quote seems to be genuine... http://time.com/3768461/rolling-stones-tour-sticky-fingers-zip-code/ "Rolling Stone’s return to the road coincides with the release of a deluxe edition of the classic Sticky Fingers album on May 26. Stones’ front man Mick Jagger says the band is wrestling with the idea of performing the album in its entirety during the tour. “Sticky Fingers has about five slow songs. I’m just worried that it might be problematic in stadiums,” Jagger told Rolling Stonemagazine. “Maybe we’d play it and everyone would say, ‘Great,’ but maybe they’ll get restless and start going to get drinks.”
  23. Agreed. The position change rather than the D-III competition worries me the most as far as being a contributor in 2015. I'm worried that the guys they need to target (like Fisher or Cann) will be gone by 50 and they'll have to settle for BPA. Usually I'm good with that, but the OL's ability to open holes for Shady is going to make or break this season. Maybe they can get last year's draft class to step up via better coaching and an easier "man-on-man" blocking scheme--but I think they need to hedge against the downside risk that might entail. There are guys with 3rd round grades that they might have to over-draft if they want to really address the OL...
