  1. The Seahawks have a pretty good OL and that didn't stop them from calling a dumb play...brain cramps happen.
  2. Man, the Browns front office is questionable. Too bad that wasn't a text, rather than a tweet.... I had the same thought. It's becoming really hard to keep star players beyond their first contract and a lot of bad teams without franchise QB's continue to let good players leave and then have to replace them. It's a self-reinforcing cycle that the Bills have been guilty of for too long as well...
  3. Hard to believe this thread is up to 14 pages (but then again, this is TSW, so maybe not). I suspect a lot of teams would like to be able to say this about a drafted rookie--yet, not too many can:
  4. I doubt he gets past Tampa at 34... http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2015/05/breaking_down_potential_landin.html
  5. Yeah, pick 81 is a role of the dice anyway. At 50 we need a solid contributor. Cann would be a good pick, as would Donovan Smith who would move inside to guard but could backup RT in a pinch. OTOH, Marpet and especially Clemmings would need a lot of technique work and probably wouldn't help out much this year....
  6. I'm confused. Your original quote was: "The fact he has not been drafted is a strong indication that teams know something." Now you're saying the "unknown is too great." That's a big difference. I think we agree that it's easier to not take a risk when you don't have all the facts than it is to take a leap of faith. But it's likely that no team has any clue about what the current status of that investigation is despite, as you say, having ex-police/FBI types in security roles.
  7. Not really. It's easy to not pull the trigger on the unknown, especially in round one. What will be interesting is to see who has the biggest balls tonight. I can see a guy like Chip Kelly or Belichick taking a flyer on him...
  8. IMO, Fisher's better suited to a zone blocking scheme like Denver, while Smith is likely to be a RT or pushed inside to guard. If Glenn is in good shape (as reported at the vet camp) he'll still be the LT... Bulaga's a RT, so their pursuit of him had nothing to do with Glenn...
  9. A lot of teams ahead of the Bills would have an interest in him... http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2015/05/breaking_down_potential_landin.html Saban sure is beating his drum... http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2015/04/landon_collins_nfl_draft_mock_2015.html
  10. Predictable... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000489141/article/2015-nfl-draft-day-1-quicksnap-grades-for-afc-teams
  11. I'd rather go with Jake Fisher or Donovan Smith than Clemmings, who's still very green and needs a lot of work.
  12. Humphries went at 24...
  13. The Jets unfortunately are the only big winner I see...
  14. That opener just got tougher...
  15. Those two guys have been joined at the hip grade wise. Not looking good to snag Cann at 50...
  16. Yep, that's another guy who falls into the lap of a good team
  17. Sort of like this year's draft class. The NFL could have taught P.T. Barnum a thing or two...
  18. The Stillers always seem to get a great pick at the mid- or bottom of the round...
  19. That was John Murphy's guy tonight on his show...oh well.
  20. Who was picked at 41. Chip is giving up some value...
  21. Seems high for Agholor...

  23. At least he's not carrying the other guys' helmets...
  24. Actually, I do. With the Sabres, they took the risk of tanking for McEichel realizing a radical rebuild was the only way to get the ammo to be "hockey heaven". With the Charles Clay sining they didn't flinch on setting the bar high. They gave Whaley the green light to get Sammy last year. I don't think they play by the same 'old boy' NFL owner rules. It would be a huge risk/reward...but who understands that concept better than an oil and gas man...
