Now that Tommy Boy's gone, I guess Bill needs a new main squeeze...

IDK. Capitalize the view or other locational advantage vs. the other lots and maybe its a wash. Higher resale value might recapture those upfront costs...

"At the time, an ignorant 31-year-old Orr was blinded by potential pageviews and quote tweets..." So, still ignorant at 33. Go figure...

Thanks. That's the kind of local knowledge that's so hard to come by.

I'm in the same boat. We're looking for a nice, quite retirement landing spot but worry about 'buyers remorse' without having enough local knowledge to differentiate quaint from tourist trap. One place I want to put on my explore list is Highlands, NC. I love mountains and temperate climate. I worry that, like Ashville, it gets over-run by tourists in the summertime (the population supposedly goes from 1,200 to 18,000+). https://www.niche.com/places-to-live/highlands-macon-nc/ https://www.highlandschamber.org/

I stoped watching baseball in my teens but sure rooted for Tom and the Mets as a kid. RIP...

+1 Ashville used to be my favorite place in NC, but it's outgrown its charm as all the "best places rated" stories drew more people there...

So they add an extra week to the season. Not a problem, weighed against the progress it might bring (even if that progress addresses just 0.0000000000001% of the issue). The NFL is a television show. Hard to get upset about that vs. the impact of addressing systemic racisim on millions of people...

A car full of Irish nuns is sitting at a traffic light in downtown Dublin, when a bunch of rowdy drunks pull up alongside of them. "Hey, show us yer teets, ya bloody penguins!" shouts one of the drunks. Quite shocked, Mother Superior turns to Sister Mary Immaculata and says, "I don't think they know who we are; show them your cross." Sister Mary Immaculata rolls down her window and shouts, "Piss off, ya fookin' little wankers, before I come over there and rip yer balls off!" Sister Mary Immaculata then rolls up her window, looks back at Mother Superior, quite innocently, and asks, "Did that sound cross enough?

Is anyone else less invested in this season than normal?

Barnwell - Bills biggest achilles heel

Exactly. That took all of two seconds to think of and offers nothing more than the hundreds of other hot takes we've seen this summer... -
Barnwell - Bills biggest achilles heel

Bill Barnwell is the achilles heel of ESPN's NFL coverage. That site used to have some really good analysts but now has to carry guys like him... -

Gilliam now listed at TE on roster
Lurker replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They've been talking about Gilliam more as an H-back lately. That's what DiMarco was originally touted to be when he came from Atlanta (although I never saw that receiving element in his game)... -

Food for thought. Maybe it was nine-lives future son-in-law Jason Croom who stepped on Kroft's foot... -

Deja vu... Sept 3, 2019 https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/tyler-kroft-anxious-to-contribute-as-he-nears-return-from-foot-injury/article_879286e5-30ea-542f-933b-71eee9a7a23a.html Kroft said he does not believe his foot is at increased risk of injury, given that he gave it the proper time to heal. He was hurt during the first practice of the spring when he was stepped on, then had surgery the following day. -

I'll say it again -- Kroft's ankles and feet don't look big enough to carry his weight. If I had to guess, he seems like a natural 190-pound guy who's bulked up and his body can't handle the stress from the extra weight... -
