  1. Bodexpress was a hoot. Funniest horse race ever...
  2. Manning is way,way too smart to even pick up the phone if Johnson calls...
  3. Stick a fork in it already. The continual changing of actors reminds me of this scene from Ariplane--by the time Hollywood gets though, every actor in America will get a slap at the role...
  4. Three hour a day workouts for a 75 year old guy are amazing... https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/6363935/heres-how-mick-jagger-works-out-for-three-hours-a-day-to-stay-in-shape-for-the-rolling-stones-no-filter-tour/ (and LOL, those pics are the worst photoshop I've ever seen....)
  5. I'd pay money to see them together in a Coach's Corner segment. Matter and anti-matter. It would be a hoot...
  6. Gronk was unique because he could fill both rolls. Most teams have do it with two guys--a move TE and a blocking TE. While move TEs like Ertz and Kelce are all the rage, there's still a significant role for less heralded blocking TEs like Smith. I see the Bills playing a lot of two TE sets this year with both Smith and Kroft on the field together...
  7. That was no slam. It was a valid question with no rational answer or explanation...
  8. Wish him well. I think E.J. will be very successful in the next phase of his career....
  9. This is the 2018 all-around grade for Smith: https://raiderswire.usatoday.com/2019/02/25/pff-raiders-tes-jared-cook-and-lee-smith-dominated-in-2018/ "...Lee Smith, also had an excellent year for the Raiders. While he didn’t play as many snaps as his teammate (284), Lee was one of the most well-rounded blockers in the NFL. He caught just 10 passes for 73 yards, but he makes for the perfect complement to Cook. Together, Cook and Smith graded as two of the top three tight ends in the AFC West, according to Pro Football Focus." View image on Twitter
  10. That's the way I see it. He's more effective as a downfield/move run blocker than any OT now on the roster. Plus, he's the kind of veteran leader McD likes to have around...

  12. Agreed. It's a lock they keep four TEs now, which probably takes away the seventh slot for a WR. They'll probably try to stash Sweeney on the PS for a year and see how he progresses for 2020...
  13. No mention of how much that guaranteed money is, however. If it's just a million or two, I'm thinking Smith could still be cut without too much trouble if lightning strikes and the young TEs have bang up training camps...
  14. That's my take as well. I'll wait to see how easy it is for the Bills to get out of his contract after year one--as well as the amount of any guaranteed money--before passing judgement on this signing. If nothing else, he'll be a great role model in training camp for Knox, Sweeny and even Fisher...
  15. LOL. A 27-year old WR with two years of professional experience caught four balls against 22-year old camp invitees who will be starting their real life's work next week--selling insurance or working at Lowe's. Check out last year's day-1 WR standout and get back to us 'naysayers' with how that worked out...
  16. Just for perspective, this is from one year ago... https://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-5-takeaways-from-buffalo-bills-rookie-minicamp-2018 5) Proehl’s route running stands out- You always look for something that stands out during practices like these, especially when it’s so far removed from the finished product of the game of football. However, you can sometimes see some little traits that will translate into the real game, and what stood out most to me was the route running ability of seventh-round selection Austin Proehl. On many reps, Proehl’s ability to stop on a dime and turn his route from the inside out was enough to gain him quite a bit of separation from the defender. While we’ll have to see what he can do in pads, it was hard to ignore his quickness and route running — especially for a position that needs those two traits as much as the slot receiver. Now, he is listed at what looks to be a generous 5-foot-9, so his lack of height could be something that holds him back. However, if you had to ask me for a standout from the first day, my answer would be Austin Proehl.

  18. Give him a break. He is from Niagara after all...
  19. I expect Beane to be active in signing 2-3 cap casualties and one-year "prove it" FAs to round out the roster. So the 53 is still fluid in my mind... Guys on the bubble would be DiMarco, Fisher, Yarbrough, Harold.
  20. Same here. They are complimentary sources and well worth the price. Bupkis. That's why you have two 'adult' news anchors and a gaggle of twenty-something kids on the air anymore. It's not a living wage for people with a mortgage...
