I suspect they'll be conservative the first few weeks of the year and stick with Eli while they feel out how bad they're going to be this year.

Tomorrow night will go a long way toward determining that. If Bates has a repeat performance, I could see McBeane going for the young guy with upside, especially since there's a lot of veteran experience already on the O-line...

Sadly, gone but not forgotten. Many of those "better live than recorded" groups were old school guys who were top notch musicians who could play the **** out of their catalog live. No auto-tune or recorded backing tracks for these guys...

He's simply getting used to being healthy again, IMO. Like driving a new car for the first time in a long while, you don't go full out into the turns or keep the pedal to the metal until you gain more confidence in how it handles. Regular season is still weeks away, IIRC, Bruce Smith looked like a scrub in preseason every year. Not comparing Murphy to the GOAT, but not going to over-scrutinize 22 snaps as well...

Murphy had 8 snaps vs the Colts and 14 vs the Panthers (vs. 8 and 21 for Lawson). Not a big body of work to judge him on, But with all his injuries, it looks like he's making progress getting healthy, which is step one for now...

That happened to us at the U2 concert at New Era. Great show, great seats and these damn people next to us kept getting up to get beer--then getting up to get rid of it--all night long. Really took something away from what was otherwise a great night...
