  1. "excuses him from media" Huh? Too bad they can't all be in protocol then...
  2. Maybe bill should spend all his waking hours on the Internet like everyone else in America...
  3. Per Peter King's column today, the Colts have been talking to Luck about retirement for the past two weeks: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/08/26/fmia-andrew-luck-the-colts-and-the-retirement-that-rocked-nfls-world/ "Luck said he didn’t imagine retiring till two weeks ago. But once he started thinking about it, one source said, it made more and more sense to him. He was tired. He felt like if it wasn’t one thing, it’d be another. Reich and Ballard both spent time between Tuesday and Friday feeling out Luck about whether he’d reconsider—he never wavered—and then making sure Luck was sure he wanted to do it now. He did. Neither Reich nor Ballard would disclose the contents of their conversations with Luck. But late in the week, Reich said, he and Luck had a longer meeting in the coach’s office, an emotional meeting. “It’s like we were saying goodbye,” Reich said from his office Sunday afternoon. “I knew, knew in my heart, he wasn’t going to change his mind. He seemed to have great clarity and peace.”
  4. Not to mention that the guy's full time gig is being a communication manager at Travelers Insurance in Connecticut. Doh! https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthew-cannata-74613a8a https://muckrack.com/matthew-cannata/articles https://www.profootballnetwork.com/contact-pro-football-network/
  5. Well, if we needed any more confirmation that he's retired for good, this is certainly it...
  6. The Pro Football Network guy floating these tweets, Matthew Cannata, also writes for the Dolphins blog Phin Phanatic. Curious that he'd have Miami as a player, knowing they're one inch away from tank mode... https://www.google.com/search?q=Matthew+Cannata&rlz=1CAKSOU_enUS765US765&oq=Matthew+Cannata&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i61&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  7. That one-year rental bothers me. I could see him wanting to sign with the Pats next year. Isn't Gilmore like his BFF (they played together in high school)... https://nesn.com/2018/09/stephon-gilmore-knew-jadeveon-clowney-was-a-freak-before-anyone/
  8. Yep. Why couldn't he be more like all those old time players who now have degenerative arthritis and CTE. Can't deprive the fantasy team players...
  9. Maybe they're trading their whole roster for him...
  10. I don't think enough people realize what a different kind of guy Luck is when it comes to football or to life in general...
  11. Perhaps you're right. But even so, was Ed the worst in NFL history? (asking for a friend)
  12. While he was indeed a disaster, he had 3 starts, which is enough to be credible IMO...
  13. LOL! Good one rockhead. The strike/replacement year was very memorable (sadly). Each week, you just shook your head and thought "this can't get any worse" And then it did. Anyway, got to click that upper right-hand corner and a few drop down boxes now. C ya...
  14. The broadcast booth is for ex-jocks who have no other skills to fall back on. That is absolutely not who Luck is... True. But more and more, guys like RGiii and Wentz... https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/ct-spt-young-qbs-getting-hurt-nfl-20171221-story.html
  15. I've watched the NFL for 40+ years and every decade the velocity of the hits and the kinetic energy released by contact has gone up. While there are unicorns like Brady and Brees, I suspect the average career of NFL QBs (especially given the $$$ they can sock away) will be shorter, not longer..
  16. As is yours, for the rocks in your head. I saw every one of those guys play and sadly had tix through many of those years...
  17. Scott Radecic says hello.... https://populous.com/people/scott-radecic
  18. Nope. Can't see it. He's a smart, thoughtful guy and football is a a brutal, brutal sport that eats its own. He'll walk away and never look back...
  19. F that guy....ass****
  20. There are other players beside Allen that need to develop rhythm as well. Like the OL and TEs run blocking, which was not featured in the first two games...
  21. Let me start off by saying, I was not a fan of Williams when camp opened. However, I've been impressed with his play the last two weeks and do indeed think he could make a fine red zone specialist. I doubt he'll ever get much separation on NFL dbs, but if he can continue to overwhelm them physically (sadly, the new PI rules may make this harder), that's a valuable role on a team with a bunch of smurfs and unsettled TE play. And if it helps send ZJ packing, all the better...
  22. LOL! What the hell are you hanging out at TSW for then...
  23. Same here. I'm working on my 'ignore user' list. Going real well so far but I'm going to take myself out for the second half...
